Since meeting Venersis, Agnés felt much younger than usual. Perhaps his youth and spirit were rubbing off on her. Typically, she would have taken the morning off to simply explore the royal library in peace. However, her dedication to Bellris and Hysteria meant more than anything. As the morning came through the inn that she stayed in, Agnés had quickly marched, no, rolled off towards the castle. While she was able to enter, Agnés was careful not to start any ruckus. She hoped it wasn't too strange for a council woman of the Bellris Republic to be here. After all, Zalto was all too loyal to the empire.

She wheeled herself down a line of bookshelves, pulling books every once in a while to flip through that would even hint at possible epidemics. While it technically would be more polite to read one book at a time, Agnés was on an emergency mindset- she had to look through the index and table of contents. Agnés winced, seeing that a book that seemed vaguely interesting on the top shelf. There was no way she could reach it in her wheelchair. She glanced back and forth, checking to see if anyone could see her. There was nobody in her peripheral, meaning it must be safe. Quickly she stood out of her chair, and tried to reach.. She still couldn't reach it. Agnés glanced around, making sure nobody could see her standing on her two feet. Then, she tried reaching again. Why was every person so tall these days?

                                  ▼Where: Library.
▼Thoughts: My god...a building of books?!

XXXVenersis had slept for nearly 12 hours straight that night, not moving to the slightest noise around him. To be completely honest someone very well could have sneaked up on him and possibly killed him, he was sleeping so deeply that night. Waking from his morning stupor and eventually finding his way to his dusty clothes, he walked his way around - looking for a more familiar face. After asking around a bit and getting a few odd glances, he had been informed that Agnés was in some place called the royal library. "There is that word again!" Venersis sighed about the word Royal and it's meaning. Not completely sure if it meant he could be there or not. Walking towards the counter he would wink handsomely at the librarian, swooning her with his charm, then quickly walking past her. Once in the library, he quickly located Agnés on the other side of the library, his looking glass ability still allowing him to see all things.

Once again after a moment or two of using his ability he located a book that he would be interested in reading. Only problem was it was atop of a very, very large bookcase in which no human being could hope to reach with standard height. Glancing about a bit, Venersis quickly and nimbly jumped to the very top of the bookcase and snatched the book from the shelf, letting his legs dangle from the tall bookcase as he blew the dust from the cover. "Dictionary of Epsilon." he spoke to himself as he opened up the book. Then it struck him....."s**t." he sighed, forgetting the fact that he really couldn't read this writing. During the midst of his sighing and cursing an assistant would notice him atop the case and yell out. "Get down from there you hoodlum!" clearly labeling Venersis due to his dusty clothing and poor looks. Venersis at heart was never good with commands nor authority so he simply ignored the man childishly and continued pretending like he was reading something. The man would continue his shouting for another bit before walking off to get the guards. Seeing his chance for escape, Venersis would quietly dip away from the location, to go to Agnés.

"Morning!" he chuckled, dipping out from behind the bookcase quickly, but enough to give the old woman a shock. He had of course seen Agnés stand, but figured it best to keep quiet about it. Everyone had secrets, and most of the time they had a reason to keep them.

                                  O.O.C...

Agnés strained, but still couldn't reach it. At this rate, she will need to ask a fellow librarian for the book. Why on earth did Zalto have such tall residents? How did they expect young ones to reach for the books? Ah, then again, usually the youth didn't like reading the stinky, old tomes at the top of the shelves. Just as she attempted to try again, she heard the sound of a very upset librarian. A hoodlum? What on earth was a hoodlum doing in a library, a sanctuary of knowledge and wisdom, doing here? She pursed her lips and tried to ignore the sound of movement and general chaos. However just as the sound disappeared, she was surprised by the arrival of Venersis.

Agnés's hands flew to her heart at the sudden appearance. "Venersis!" she exclaimed, slightly louder than normal. Quickly realizing her voice level, she hushed herself. Then, she realized she was standing and not.. well, sitting in the wheelchair as usual. Panic swept through her as this secret was somewhat important to her. Though, it wasn't like he was an enemy she was hiding the secret from. He was an ally, a friend. "Well.. good morning, Venersis. Judging from the librarian shouting earlier, I suppose it is you already causing a ruckus?" she asked, staying still.

XXXVenersis grinned at Agnés a bit before bowing slightly as an apology for his sudden appearance. In response to Agnés claiming that he was the cause of all the ruckus, Venersis sighed. "WHY I NEVER! Just because I'm from a foreign place doesn't mean I'm some hoodlum!" he teased, laying on the sarcastic tone rather thick. After a few moments of a straight face, he finally cracked, grinning a bit and scratching his head. "Yea yea...I was looking for this book." he spoke, holding up the dictionary. "It simply happened to be....very high up." he finished, noticing previously that Agnés was reaching for a book for herself. With a quick hop, Venersis soared upwards and snatched the book she was reaching for from the shelf, and quietly landed back down without much noise. "M'lady~" he teased, bowing slightly towards Agnés whilst holding the book outwards towards her.

"Hmm, you could have fooled me." Laugher erupted from Agnés, forgetting about how the library was supposed to be a place of quiet. "Why, thank you, kind gentleman." she replied, briefly curtsying. Though, her movement was not as smooth as she would have wished due to lack of practice. Her bones cracked and she just felt her entire spine twist slightly to hold herself up. After the curtsy, Agnés took the book and returned to sitting on the wheelchair like nothing it happened.

"I would.. appreciate it if you would keep this a little secret between the two of us, as I will keep your origins secret."
she commented casually, flipping open the book to glance through the index and chapters. As her eyes scanned the pages, once again, it was difficult to judge if such a book would have any hints of the epidemic. "Now then, the book you are holding. I never thought you would be the person to read dictionaries of all things! Are they not dull to you?"

XXX"Glad to be of assistance." he replied, his face wide with a grin. Venersis figured that her being wheelchair bound was suppose to be a secret, and his ideals were confirmed with Agnés next statement. "Very well." he replied shortly, before fumbling around a bit with the book he had snatched. "So it was a dictionary!" he laughed, confirming his theory that most large and thick books were dictionaries. "Ay. I do find book very dull actually. I'm not the book smarts type of person. But I've realized something horrible only part way to being here. he paused, scratching his head nervously for a moment before building up the courage to speak again. "I...can't read this countries text." he muttered somewhat quietly, with an underlying embarrassed tone.

Agnés raised an eyebrow at the comment. He could not read? Most if not, all the books were written in the common language. What language did he read then? She tilted her head and looked around for any books he could possibly read. Then again, none of these books looked all too promising. "Ah, that really is a shame. Even if you are not a book smart person, books are still such a great wealth on knowledge." she replied. She was saddened by the fact he was illiterate. Living away from civilization and now not able to read the texts, that was almost too cruel. "Hmm, then perhaps you can be one of my students. While I do not exactly teach, I have been a tutor for children here and there. I can teach you the basics of reading, at least. It would be advantageous to know some of the words."

XXXIf Venersis was being completely honest to himself....then he barely knew how to read in general, let alone another text. He often ditched classes and would go out to chase the tails of the local women. And he was sure if given the chance, he'd probably do it again. "Some are suited for the books, others are suited for a more....forward approach. I happen to fall into the latter." he replied, grinning slightly. "I really do appreciate the offer, but you have done much already, and I haven't the time to waste on learning to read." he replied, shutting the down the offer quickly. However much he'd like to learn to read, he honestly didn't have time nor the motivation to do so. Never miss what you don't know type of thing.

Ahh, it really is a shame. Well, it probably was for the best if he decided himself not to look into it. "Alright then." Agnés finally replied. Well, if he was not interested in learning how to read, this place would probably not be a place he would want to go. "Hmm, if you like, you may explore on your own. I have to research for an important cause for the Republic." Agnés decided, tracing her fingers over the words upon the book's covers. She couldn't afford to waste any more time, since she planned to returned to Bellris soon. She couldn't bear being away from home long despite the times when she really needed to research. So much could change within a single day; Any more time spent away from Bellris could cost so much more than a simple change like weather.

She seemed to quickly end the conversation and go about her reading - only pausing to inform him she was to be busy for a bit. "Very well." he replied, turning away from Agnés and walking off towards another direction. He would spend another bit walking about the library, admiring the architecture some and occasionally flirting with one of the younger library assistants. Before eventually finding his way towards the exit. "She'll call if she needs me...I assume." he spoke to himself as he exited the library in a casual trot.

Ambrosia and Rscal walked into the library. Rascal carried Ambrosia's bag carefully. The wolf having fought and won with her this morning when she tried to pick it up. Ambrosia took in his strange behavior but let him carry it. After all she didn't feel well enough to argue with the wolf. She had woken up this morning feeling nauseous and her breasts were tender. Both things were unusual for her. Shaking her head as she walked closer to a bookshelf to inspect the section on herbs. "There has to be some mixture I can make with their herbs to help relieve nausea..." she half spoke out loud. Rascal remained underfoot, almost tripping her more than once. After she almost tripped on him a third time she sighed, grabbed a book and sat down, She looked at the wolf who stared up at her with half worried, half knowing eyes. "What? Oh Rascal I'm sure I'll be fine. Maybe I just ate something bad? Besides I need to remember to send a letter to Aza- to the Emperor to tell him I arrived and am safe." Rascal nodded, knowing that meant he needed to find a way to remind her later...which probably meant chewing on her quill till she remembered.

"I don't believe quill ends are good for one's diet, princess Ambrosia." The maid would interrupt with her soft and humble voice as she steps around the bookshelf she was peaking from and stifles a giggle. "Forgive me if I frightened you. I was checking on the castle since Prince Roland had awaken and asked something of me." The rose that Princess Athena had asked for yesterday was fetched for her...after she and Athena's brother, Prince Kaiden, had returned rather late but it was that same rose seller that she was asked to fetch a gift from this morning. This time the maid sent by the foreign prince to woo Zalto's Princess first thing in the morning.

"Normally the bookworms are the ones feasting on the book this early, but you are a refreshing sight to see rather than a a sea of laid out work." Sarah speaking openly to Ambrosia for she no longer felt her a romantic rival for the heart of Kaiden; A ring of victory on her hand which she accidentally forgot to hide. "I do believe your friend is right to worry though....Has your womanly cycle been on time since last time you've checked?" The maid looks about making sure no one else was around before continuing. "I heard you mention nausea, and your skin has this look to it..."

Ambrosia jumped and dropped her book. As she bent over to pick it up Rascal growled lightly in warning as he dropped her quill and picked up the book for her, dropping it in her lap and then retrieving the quill and doing the same. Sighing Ambrosia sat back and wiped off her quill and replaced it in her bag. She then looked up at the maid who had stepped into the room. She smiled softly, the woman before her had such kind eyes. She blinked in confusion realizing she had been addressed as princess. "Oh it's quite alright. It's easy to startle me when I'm studying my herbs. I am no princess though...." sadly, that would make things so much easier... she added in her head as her eyes darkened in sadness for a brief moment as she ran a finger over the ring on her middle finger of her left hand. It wasn't long before the light returned and she looked up at the maid and smiled. "I figured I'd study some of your countries herbs, so maybe I could make a tonic to ease my nausea..." She paused as Sarah said Rascal was right to worry. She looked down at him as she wondered if her cycle had come. Her eyes widened as she realized it hadn't. She raised her head and looked around, panic in her eyes, before she looked at the maid and shook her head. A child? Her first child, and it was from the love of her life...but it was forbidden. She placed a hand to her stomach, "You don't think do you?"
