π²π―π¬π΄π« πΏπ―π¦π«π π’ π¬π£ πππ©π±π¬ Aldon smiled weakly at her acceptance of his proposal. He could tell she had been shocked by his choosing her, which made him happy. She was humble and just. He was relieved to know that his kingdom was going to have a good queen. As she got down on her knees he could see it in her eyes. She felt bad for him, sympathy and understanding? How interesting. But his heart felt heavy with the loss of his father. She reached out and touched his knee with her hands and spoke once more. Her words ringing through his tough exterior. Tears began to well up in his strong eyes. He fought hard not to let them fall. He was after all crown prince and soon to be king...no he was king now. He could not afford to show weakness, but here before him was the woman meant to be his queen now, it would be ok to show some weakness in front of her right? Sighing set his knee down and bent forward, embracing her to his chest as silent tears escaped his eyes.  xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Elentiya Drosselmeyer Elentiya had been in Zalto for about a month and since then had cycled though her clothing at least twice, already she was back to wearing her green dress that seemed to compliment her pale visage so well. She looked upon the throne that her soon-to-be husband now ruled from. She took a deep breath as she looked upon the golden monster and shivered as she bowed her head to it, holding onto a piece of mirror and gently rubbing her fingers over it before she lifted her head. She would only be the princess consort to Aldon, but she would hold a lot of power, she would be the mother of the future king, she would rule while he was away, she would have influence of this kingdom, and honestly it scared it. She would be with Aldon the rest of her life and as much as she enjoyed his company. found him interesting...she didn't know if she loved him yet. She bit down on her lip as she put the piece of mirror in her pocket, continuing to look up at the throne. $1000ec

π²π―π¬π΄π« πΏπ―π¦π«π π’ π¬π£ πππ©π±π¬ Aldon walked into the throne room with his nose in a book again and his gifts for Elentiya in his pocket, a peridot necklace to match the green dress he first had met her in, and the sapphire engagement ring to signify his choice and that she was to be his bride. She still seemed shy around him, but her smiles brought him comfort in this hard times. Of all the things going wrong around him, he knew for sure when she smiled, that his kingdom would be ok. Closing his book softly he tucked it under his arm as he walked up behind her noticing her put a piece of mirror in her pocket. He moved to stand quietly beside her before speaking. "Mother should be here any moment, but before she arrives I have a few gifts for you. I must say I am happy that you chose to wore the green dress today..." He said as he reached in his pocket and brought out the necklace, "I believe this will match it nicely." He said holding it up in the light so she may see its brilliance and beauty. After a moment he handed it to her to look at while he pulled out the ring and gently took her hand slipping it on. Gently placing his hand on top of hers. "This ring was my grandmother's and she gave it to me to give to the woman I saw fit to rule Zalto by my side. As I said before I could imagine no other to rule justly by my side. I think she would be happy with my choice, gods rest her soul. Please wear this with pride and know that out of them all I saw something special in you and that my kingdom will see it too." He gently took the necklace back and nodded to her in askance to put it on her.  β βΡ΄aleska β±ia βlewellynβ βββββββββββββββββββββββββββ "Treat your oaths recklessly and your people will do the same."A year had passed after the passing of her King and beloved husband and about three months after her mother had come to visit her grandchildren and do the needful from her home kingdom with regards to her 'widowed' rituals. It took the needful time as the queen refused to partake in such backward rituals and let go of her past. But in a way, she was grateful it had been done. Her hair was cut down to almost similar to what her sons were carrying, though they might have grown a few inches over the months, her clothing restricted to mourning clothes and mostly just black. She couldn't complain either ways, her mother was a lot more stubborn than she could be. Walking out to the throneroom, her footsteps echoing down the empty halls. The advisors and most important men weren't surprised seeing their queen in this unusual appearance, they were there for it all. She barely held her infamous gracious smile, it seemed somewhat..shallow this time. Although, she managed to retain her charm as always, brushing past everything that happened like it was nothing. Typical. Looking up as she watched her son with the young princess she met at the church, her smile shifted to a more..genuine one. It almost reminded her of her own time with king Arthur. "That's one beautiful gem you have there Aldon, and a beautiful necklace too." she would state with a smile. Her hand almost instantly reaching up to brush through the ends of her locks by her neck, a nervous gesture and rather habitual too. After her change, she got more conscious about herself than usual. It was a surprise the stress didn't take a negative toll on her, besides her health of course. ββββββββββββ ββββββββββββ

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Elentiya Drosselmeyer Elentiya found herself blushing as she moved her hand up, letting Aldon slip the sapphire ring upon her slim finger. She looked up at him, looking into his eyes for a moment before looking down "Thank you...I...I will do my best to do right by you and Zalto" she said softly to him as she turned around to let him help put the necklace upon her before she heard foot steps enter the room. She looked over to see the Queen Dowager, Valeska. Elentiya would move slightly as she curtsied to the woman, Valeska had always been nice to her, but now she would be her mother in law and grandmother to any of her children. Elentiya didn't know how to feel about that, the woman was kind and nice and she would make a great mother in law- not like the ones in the stories she heard so much about. Elentiya would smile softly "Hello" she said softly to the Queen Dowager, looking at the ground as she stood next to Aldon. $1000ec

Kaiden walked down the halls as visited his room earlier to change his shirt since Sarah did one hell of a punch on his side and riped his shirt, he smiles at the spar that he and her had. He then stops as he heard voices then he thought.'Aldon and mother are inside but..who is the other female?' then he sighs as he takes a breath to relax then he knocks on the door as he enters,"Forgive me for interrupting mother and Aldon, I heard your voices in here and thought I pop in.."
As he walks, he snaps his fingers as the sound from his fingers echo in the throne room, there he sees the vibrations bounce off the figures of his mother , older brother and the woman then he stood a few inches away from them as he places his hands behind his back,

But we do need to work on that confidence that your family has stolen from you." he said pitting the necklace on her before turning her around and lightly placing a finger under her chin and lifting till her eyes met his. "You are allowed to look me in the eyes for longer than a few seconds." Hearing his mother enter he dropped his hand and followed suit and bowed in greeting to his mother. Standing tall right after however, he held his own and showed great strength even though his eyes still held some pain. He refused to let it show. His new position no longer allowed such a thing. Weakness was not allowed to be shown, he was to be the strength now not just for his family but for the kingdom who were all mourning the loss of the king. "Hello mother. Thank you for the compliment I had the necklace fashioned to match her dress and to accent her fair skin and stature. The ring as you know is grandmother's..." He paused seeing his brother enter. He had wanted to tell his mother that his choice was made and that he planned to marry Elentiya, but he wasn't sure his brother was ready to hear such a thing. Letting out a sigh he took hold of Elentiya's hand and stood proudly. "Elentiya, this is Zalto's Second Prince and my younger brother, Kaiden. Kaiden, Mother, this is Elentiya, Fourth Princess of Lionis, daughter of the Emperor and my choice and fiancΓ©. Please accept my choice and give your blessings." It was more of a statement than a request. The choice was his to make and he saw no other choice. She seemed the most sane of the daughters and had an innocence to her that would make the kingdom of Zalto adore her. Kaiden moves his head toward the woman that stood beside Aldon's figure then he bows his head lightly toward her,"Pleasure to meet you.." he then stood up straight and then he heard his brother's words about giving him and her his blessing to marry. Kaiden's hair hides most of his eyes as they widened with surprise then he closed them then he sighs as he then said,"Aldon and Elentiya..As the Second prince of Zalto.." he paused for a second but he then smiles toward them as he shows his emotionless and hazy eyes,"I will give you both my blessing and I respect your decision brother.."
He was not sure how he was gonna bring up his proposal with Sarah to Aldon and his mother but he knows that this is his brother's time so he will let it slide for now.

The queen would bow to the young princess, passing her a smile as she silently addressed her greeting. She was happy with her son's choice, although she wasn't going to give him the pleasure of knowing that just yet, even though she did speak of her beauty just a while ago. Looking back at her son, she exhaled, surely enough she could see the pain in his eyes that almost seemed like her own but how he tried to hide it made her rather upset. She would comment on it, but she didn't want to humiliate him around his fiance. "They are beautiful, but I'm afraid they aren't as beautiful as your wife." she would smile. Welcoming her younger son, she would nod to him and allow him to enter their presence while she would shift her attention back to Aldon. Right, this ritual, she too was a part of it once. With a formal bow, she rises her head, standing proudly like the queen she was. "Princess Elentiya, as the Queen mother of Zalto, I welcome you with an open heart and give you both my blessings. I pray to all the gods to have their favors on you two and that you prosper in your relationship and the kingdom you two will be ruling." she smiled, raising her hand as she did and lowered it eventually. "I will teach you everything my mother in law and her mother before her taught her, I just hope I you have the patience to learn from an aging queen." she joked to her, trying to lighten up the mood from the rather formal situation, looking over to Kaiden now and reached over to brush his hair gently with her fingers. In all honesty, she would be lying if she said she wasn't jealous of the women her sons were seeing. She was their mother after all, like every mother, she too wanted to be the woman with higher priority in their lives. She knew it wasn't possible, she knew they'd eventually leave her loving arms and move on to women who gave them more than just maternal affection and at this time, it was obvious they needed it more than ever. Exhaling lightly, she wanted to get away from all this formalities as soon as she could so she wasn't overwhelmed with emotions. Maybe sit down with one of her old maids and complain for a while to mask her feelings. ββββββββββββ ββββββββββββ

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Elentiya Drosselmeyer Elentiya looked at the Queen mother and blushed slightly as she looked at the ground "Thank you for your blessing" she said softly "I know this marriage was arranged...but I hope I can make King Aldon as happy as any wife chosen out of love would have" she said to her, a noble and probably a pointless goal. Unless they fell in love during the marriage it wouldn't be something she could accomplish. She then looked over at Kaiden and nodded her head "it is nice to meet you" she said to him and then looked bac over at Aldon, even though he said she could meet his eyes for long then she did it was difficult, she wasn't use to being able to do so, and quite honestly in was scary to look into the eyes of the king "Ill try my best" she said softly $1000ec

Kaiden felt his mother brush against his hair lightly, its been so long she did that. True, that he is now a young man now but he missed his mother's touch against his head then he notice Elentiya's figure shift lightly then he said,"Its alright my lady..my brother may seem scary at times but he is more of a gentle giant if you would say.." he chuckles lightly.
His older brother maybe the king now but to him, Aldon is the older brother first. Kaiden then sighs softly as he wondered on why he came here, did he truly miss his brother and mother ever since the passing of his father? True, that he was or still is very distance around them but he has been spending all his time training his skills and helping the soldiers with some tasks and missions.

He nodded softly to his brother, and then to his mother "Thank you both for your blessings and well wishes..." He paused slightly, his jaw twitching slightly, this didn't feel right without his father there, but that is why he asked blessing from his brother too. He said a silent prayer for his father quickly before continuing, "I have complete faith that the kingdom will accept and love Elentiya as I will grow to as well." As Elentiya spoke up her words stung him, she was all too aware that their situation wasn't ideal...but it was the love comment that had wounded him so. He had always dreamed of a marriage out of love not arrangement. He stole away the pain in his eyes as he looked down at her. Her innocence was endearing and there was a light to her that could serve well. Hopefully a love could grow between them. He saw no reason as to why it shouldn't. She was kind, beautiful, innocent and had eyes that he now realized he could get lost in. As she looked up to meet his eyes his smile softened. Yes, he could grow to love her. Hearing his brother's words he flinched slightly, turning to look at his brother, Why does everyone insist on saying that I'm scary? The queen would have her hand still on Kaiden's head, at least he was still free to be pampered by her, until he too found a woman he'd be running after. Now she understood how her mother in law felt about her when she spent time with the late king. Even though the woman never showed her any sign of displeasure, the feelings still lingered. That's how it was. Thankfully though, the queen never minded him being his mother's pet when it was needed. Hopefully both her daughter in laws would be the same. With the younger woman's words and the look in her son's eyes, it wasn't hard to notice that it affected him. She was his mother after all and for all she knew, he took after her in that aspect. She would have to talk to the honest young lady at some point, maybe even Kaiden when he called him scary. Knowing Aldon, he might even ponder over the thoughts for long. "Your brother isn't scary, I've seen scary and your brother is definitely not... although he is a gentle giant." she said, leaning against her son a little a sign she spoke, grinning lightly as she tried to lighten the mood up. Kaiden nods his head as he heard his mother's word about his brother needing to smile more often then he lets out his usually playful smile,"You know I am just teasing you Aldon and mother is right you really ought to smile more.." He loved his family but to Kaiden, he ought to spend more time with them aside being so distant with everyone ever since his father has passed away and he is still distant but when he is with his family, he tries to act his normal self.
