Fallon blinked then giggled as Ze seemed to remember that he could indeed be switched to a different teacher. "Maybe you could ask? Or I can suggest it if that would work better." She didn't want him to feel that he had to be switched, but she did think that brother Alez would be a better fit to him. The older priest was certainly more out there than the others. His way of thinking would likely fit well with Zekiel. "Hmn, perhaps another two answers then we can go to the greenhouse. That way we can say we put effort into the assignment." A soft grin showed as she spoke. Fallon didn't want to seem like she had failed at trying to help.

“Perhaps I shall,” Zekiel said, the glow to his eyes bright as he studied the girl beside him. “I should like to meet him, certainly.” His attention turned downward to the assignment when she mentioned it again, and his follow-up smile was haphazard with amusement, as though this were a game as she’d suggested, and now he need only make it through two more rounds. “Very well,” he agreed. “Two answers before the flowers bloom.”
It took some time, and some reading and sifting, and Zekiel found his attention rather preferred wandering to the single, stray dark crystal above the right side of his tutor’s lip, or the intricate way someone had woven her hair, or the way the light caught on the far edge of the table, or how many rows of books exactly were there and how long had it taken to gather them all and who had put so much time into finding all the right words to put on all of those shelves upon shelves of pages, or—
But eventually, they did make it through the problems, after which Zekiel delighted in inquiring of his company, “If you were a flower, which do you think you might be?”

She was patient as he worked through the problems. There was no rush since Fallon knew the greenhouse wasn't going anywhere. However, once it was done she noticed he instantly turned his attention to her and asked a question. "Hmn, I'm not sure." Flowers were beautiful and she did not think she possessed the same earthly beauty they did. And she had no powers to be as useful as a flowering herb so she couldn't name one of those either. "Do you know which you would be?" Fallon asked. Perhaps since he had asked her then he knew which one he identified as.

“Snowsage,” Zekiel answered. If asked, he couldn’t have said he’d ever thought on it before, but the moment the question left Fallon’s tongue, the answer was on his. “It’s the first I ever saw and knew the name of, it’s happy to bloom anywhere and does so with great energy—which I have been told I have—and it is pale…” He tipped his head, “…like me. Though the blooms are much prettier than I, I think, and fairer, too. Like a new winter frost. I think you would be like obelia blooms. Beautiful and full of color, but patient, and you both smell lovely.”
After tucking all necessary materials within his book that would fit and packing the rest into his carrying satchel, Zekiel stood, gathering his things to his side and then turning eager eyes to his new tutor.
“Do either grow in your gardens?”

Fallon picked up her own book after making sure it was closed and no pages were bent. As Zekiel told her which plant he would be she nodded her head in agreement. He was definitely bright. As she got to her feet she looked at her peer and smiled. "Snowsage, yes. Obelia? I would have to check." If she didn't handle it on an almost daily basis then she wasn't sure if the greenhouse had it. She made sure to push in the small stool she had been using to sit on before she headed toward the door. Fallon would pause to make sure Ze was following as well as admire the swirl she had left on the table using random objects. It was something she did quite often, sometimes without even realizing it. "I think Miss Keai should be at the greenhouse around this time." The priestess she mentioned was the main sister in charge of the herbs and their medicinal uses.

“Then I should love to meet her also,” Zekiel answered, and he meant it. With his things in order, he followed in Fallon’s footsteps, trailing her lead and already contemplating the greenhouse and its potential contents. He had never been to explore it in earnest, and the prospect was promising—and who better to do so with than a fair sister who made the greenworks her specialty? This, Zekiel though, was an especially good day indeed.
