Kieran flushed lightly, "I didn't fall from the very top...just from about half-way..." He protested weakly before freezing at the sudden touch, "I have some friends..." He began before swallowing, "Though I suppose beasts can't always be the most helpful things, right?" Oh, if she even saw his snaptrotter wouldn't she faint? It was probably for the best that the creature often did her own thing before coming back around camp.
"I've been alright for the most part, but I suppose if I had someone to help me out while I recovered from the fall-" He glanced at her sheepishly, "Then my life would be a bit easier. And I would definitely have a better chance of recovery else I may just falter in the sands alone..."

"Where are they? Were they with you when you fell?" There was worry and for the first time, a slight sternness to her otherwise quiet voice. It didn't look too terrible, but what if it had been? "Your friends...they're beasts....?" Taijana shook her head and sat back. "Kieran, they can't heal you if you get hurt. You can't just go off like that on your own and expect everything to be okay..."
She supposed there really was no helping it. She would have to stay and see to his recovery; both from this incident and any more in the future. Taijana didn't doubt that his 'friends' wouldn't protect him, but they couldn't do what another earthling could to see him back to health.
"I-I suppose I can stay, for a little while, just until you find someone more capable to travel with."

Kieran pursed his lips into a faint frown, "I promise it's not that awful, Taijana." Not that he truly wished to change her mind. There was something nice about having the other Yaeli nearby, "It's just without one arm I am at a disadvantage..." He tried to flex the arm in question before making a pained expression.
"Wait, what?" Kieran blinked at the offer, "You're willing to stay with me for a bit, Tai?" His gaze lit up as he smiled at her, "Truly?" Coughing the male diverted his gaze towards the ground, "I mean, I suppose I could use the help if you really wanted to stay for a bit..."

"I-I mean I did come all this way to help you, so I may as well be useful while I'm here." Her cheeks flushed a bit before her gaze diverted itself away from him. When had her skin ever felt so warm?
"I-I'll need some supplies, though. I didn't pack enough bolts." In fact, she hadn't packed much at all. In all honesty Taijana hadn't expected to stay long; when she wrote home to tell her family her sister was sure to throw a fit.

"Would be a shame to waste such effort." Agreed Kieran. While he tried to remain calm on the outside the Yaeli's heart was thudding in his chest. He truly was happy to have her staying here....even if it mean that he had to keep his arm bandaged a few extra days than what was necessary.
"There's a market near. I can always help you to go there. I have some supplies here, but probably not everything you'll need..." Kieran shook his head, "Either way feel free to get comfortable and we can settle in for the night. I'll help you to get supplies in the morning." Grinning, the Yaeli turned towards his tent.
Taijana was here and she was staying!
Already he was trying to think of all the best spots to show her....
