As the hefty sword swung by her, Misha dodged it easily with a grin. Well, that went pretty much the way she expected it would. Briiva clearly had power and more muscles than she did but the huge-a** sword (tm) lacked for finesse. She had seen that when Rob was whipping his around at the birds. "Oh, honey, we'd do soooo much damage in the bedroom. We would never get our security deposit back!" Biting back a giggle, Misha ducked further to avoid the attempted recovery of Briiva's swing and came up with her own swift blow. It landed neatly and she danced back out of range. Briiva hissed and swung back, though it was more of a knee-jerk reaction and thus didn't even go in the direction of Misha. Perhaps she should have tried this on a dummy first. No matter. "Aw that sounds like fun though! And very nice, that stung!" She gripped her sword, mentally taking note that maybe she should plan her swings more carefully. "For certain values of fun." Misha saw the next swing telegraphed a mile away and again darted from beneath Briiva's onslaught. She was starting to wonder if those stage fighting classes in college actually translated into something useful or if it was just her dance training. Countering Briiva's forward swing, the petite brunette again came under the other woman's arm and swatted her blade against her side. She knew it was dulled and was very grateful but she still did her best to keep the flat of her blade the only part connecting. Weapon: balanced melee, base 6 HP: 50 DMG: 6

Briiva gritted her teeth as the flat of Misha blade struck her side, resisting the reflex to double over. She took a couple steps back, swinging her own sword behind her. This time she took the time to get a feel for the weight before hefting it over her shoulder and lunging forward as she brought the blade straight down. "I mean, I find this rather fun too!" Briiva gave a feral grin, bracing for Misha's next blow. Weapon: Great Sword, Heavy Base Damage: 10 HP: 32Damage: 10

An explosion of air left Misha as Briiva's sword connected and she doubled over before quickly stepping back to regroup. She lifted her head and offered a grin, slightly less cocky now that a hit had been scored against her. "It was more fun before you got me there," she laughed. The sound was only slightly breathless but the grin strengthened. "I guess we really are about to get good and rough here, sweetie." Misha darted forward as she finished speaking and swung. The blow landed but proved far less satisfying than the previous ones. Still - a hit was a hit! Weapon: balanced melee, base 6 HP: 40 DMG: 3

Briiva chuckled at Misha's comments, glancing the blow slightly with the flat of her blade. It still scrapped against her, but it was more bearable this time, and now that Briiva had managed a strike as well, she felt emboldened. "That's how I like it, sweety!" Briiva circled Misha, sticking her tongue out playfully before twirling to build momentum, bringing the sword down diagonally at her opponent. Briiva was already sweating and panting, but looked like she was thoroughly enjoying herself. Of course, she realized how dumb her little maneuver was, exposing her back for the sake of flair. But wasn't that part of being a Chosen, doing things in the most illustrious way possible? "Never saw a reason to not thoroughly enjoy myself, love!" Briiva was practically beaming. Misha took the blow with a faint grunt and slipped further out of range. Her face flushed as the sparring session went on, blood singing in her ears. The other woman definitely had found the groove and the blows that now landed staggered her. She grinned fiercely, wildly, back at Briiva, though. Another laugh escaped her in a breathless rush. "I think you just needed to warm yourself up," she pointed out. "You're doing a lot better now. Slow starter, darling? I'll keep that in mind. We'll have to build your fire up over time." She blew a teasing kiss and then darted right and forward, swinging up to catch Briiva's unprotected flank. Weapon: balanced melee, base 6 HP: 30 DMG: 6

"You're quite welcome too!" Briiva laughed heartily, even as she took another hit with a grimace. "You've been doing quite well this entire time though, you certainly know how to handle yourself." She regained her stance, watching her opponent carefully. Misha was certainly agile, a fact that Briiva was doing her best not to distract herself with, but she didn't seem to be as capable with blocking, preferring to dodge whenever possible. Taking this revelation in mind, Briiva jumped forward, swinging her blade upwards, doing her best to angle the swing to make it difficult to avoid.
"Maybe I was just waiting for you to hit on me first."

The blow sent Misha into stumbling retreat and she panted a bit, a grimace flitting over her face before she returned to smiles and laughter. Briiva was definitely getting the hang of her oversized weapon, ouch! What the other woman lacked in speed was more than made up for when she landed a blow. She joked but she had focus as well. Once safely out of range again, Misha rocked her weight from foot to foot and tipped her head to one side. "My radar is totally off then, hon," she sighed, masking her shortness of breath as best she could. "I pegged you for a first move kind of girl. But, if you insist..." She darted forward, low and determined herself. Misha's sword landed; it might not have the power of the great sword but there was precision in it. Briiva did her best to block the blade, but misha was fast. She gritted her teeth as she felt the scrape along her side, and lashed back with her own sword, scoring a decent hit. Staggering backwards, Briiva did her best to gauge her opponent. As tired as she was, Misha looked about as tired. That at least was a relief, as Misha's accuracy had been better, there just was only so much one could do to block something with as much force as Briiva's sword. Still, she knew that sooner rather than later, one of them was going down, and they had both been preforming so closesly to one another, it was pretty much whoever made a mistake first would be in for some hurt. Briiva braced herself as best she could for the blow she knew was coming. Weapon: Great Sword, Heavy Base Damage: 10 HP: 17Damage: 5

A hissed curse in Arabic slipped from Misha's full lips as Briiva's blow landed. Then, drawing back, she shook her head to clear it. The exertion of the fight was starting to wear on her and she could feel her muscles starting to burn with the effort. She smiled and the look was charmingly crooked. One more exchange, she thought. Even if Briiva looked like she might be able to go a bit longer, Misha knew she didn't have it in herself. Stamina. That was going to be something to work on for the future. "Well," she drawled, masking her pant. "Briiva, honey, I guess you've got both size and skill there." She circled a bit, moving around her opponent to look for an opening. "Will you be okay with me swooning when this is all over?" With that, she lunged forward for one last push. This was it and she knew it. She had no more reserves after this one. The sword caught Briiva fully in the shoulder, and this time she felt it. She could only focus on the sudden numbness around her left side as she staggered back, and for a moment, what just happened didn't register. Then, as the numbness gave way to a antagonizing burning, everything fell into place. Briiva brought her hand up to her shoulder, but she didn't need the blood her palm came back with to know that the last blow had cut her, fairly deeply at that. Time seemed to slow for Briiva as her ears began to ring, and her fist clenched tightly around her sword as she brought it over her shoulder. The sharp pain brought an almost calm, focused fury, one that washed over her even as adrenaline coursed through her body. She was instantly brought back to the Alps, and before her a Misha-sized bird, black and glistening. Briiva was barely aware of the guttural cry that passed her lips as she charged, stars floating in front of her vision. Misha was no longer simply an opponent; she was a threat. Briiva felt her blood pounding in her ears as she pulled what strength she had left for sole purpose of delivering a final, devastating blow before she herself lost consciousness. Briiva was just a pace away when recollection returned. Her charge faltered, eyes becoming unfocused as remembered that this was just a spar, and not a fight for survival. Sure, Briiva knew she still had some fight left, but she also knew that she was already injured and if she didn't stop now, one of them might be having to recoup in the infirmary. With that in mind, Briiva let her sword fall, choosing instead to collapse against Misha, her anger having sapped the last of whatever she had been holding onto to remain standing. She clutched the girl desperately, if only to reassure herself that Misha was alright, and she hadn't followed through on what would have probably left them both with need for stitches. She took several deeps breaths in an attempt to slow her breathing before she became aware once more of her bleeding shoulder, the pain hitting her like a truck. "Ow, ********, s**t, ********, ******** blinked back angry tears as she tried to regain control of herself. When she finally did speak, her words came short and shaky. "s**t! I'm so sorry, are you okay?" She tried to look Misha over, wincing as the action moved her shoulder and sent waves of pain in response. Briiva growled through the pain. "Heh, that last one got me pretty good, huh? Reckon I need to get this cleaned and dressed. Looks like you win this time, Misha. And please don't swoon. I- I don't think I can hold myself up." She gave Misha a shaky grin, her face paler now that blood was staining both girls shirts. Any anger that she had left seemed to have been drained by the injury, causing Briiva to pant as she tried to support herself on the other girls frame. Gasping at the sight of blood and the sudden weight of Briiva, Misha clung to the other woman for an instant before she thought better of the hold and adjusted her grip. With a bit of her waning strength, she forcibly shifted Briiva so she could wrap her arms around her torso beneath her arms. Then, with as much care as she could, she lowered her to the floor. "Ssshh, it's okay, sweetie. It's fine, Briiva." Her words devolved into mumbled nonsense as she bit back a surge of panic. Misha reached up to brush a hand over Briiva's hair, soothing and careful. She gulped a breath then and pulled back enough. Making sure that Briiva could sit upright on her own, she smiled weakly and reached out to chuck the other woman beneath the chin. "Let me get something to tie that up and we'll get you back to your room." She frowned. Hopefully, Briiva didn't notice the worry in her grey eyes or the sudden paleness beneath her golden-tan skin. "Unless you think it's bad enough to take you to Rafe?"

Briiva gave her shoulder a weary once over, then shook her head. "I've done worse, believe it or not. You get me to my room, I've got a pretty stocked med bag. She grinned a bit weakly. "It's going to be sore for a while, but it should be okay." Briiva struggled to get off her shirt, revealing the sport bra underneath. She didn't seem to mind much as she carefully placed the already blood soaked shirt over her shoulder and pressed down to stem the bleeding. "You sure we can make it to my room?" Briiva tried to laugh, but groaned as the action just lead to more pain. "You're not in the best of shape yourself, you know."
