Ergon yelped as the snow slid some more, eyes wide as the stranger still managed to pull himself back up. Panting from the rush of adrenaline, he crawled to press his back against the wall of the path. The strange person had saved him... "Thank you," he said quickly.
Still, seeing the man splayed out on the ground, he blushed and looked away. "I wouldn'ta slipped if you hadn't sat next to me. You disturbed the snow," he grumbled stubbornly, crossing his arms as he fought shivers of emotions. That had been... scary..

Tryston moved his arm just enough so that he could peer towards the boy with a slanted gaze, "Uh huh," He replied quietly before taking a deep breath to calm his own racing heart. After days of just walking and making it through the snows this had been rather...exciting. If not traumatic considering the flood of memories it brought back to the man who had nearly died through the same type of fall.
"Are...you alright?" He asked as he lowered his arm and turned his head to glance over at the boy. Tryston was determined to check on the child and then take him home to a much safer place than this wild path.

He thought about getting up and going home, but his body was still tired from the death grip he'd had on the man. Once again, he just needed a little bit of time.
The question sent his gaze shifting uncomfortably to the side. "I'm okay," he murmured. He would have to be more selective about his places to retreat in the future. Safer places. "Okay. You can really go now..."

"Mmm." Tryston replied quietly as he studied the younger boy, "Rest and I'll take you home." He decided for the both of them before stretching out to lay in the cold snow. Well, not cold for him since recent events had rather destroyed his temperature sensing. Being in the snow now was rather comfortable for the Zenan and he could honestly sleep in peace here if not for the boy who he kept an eye on.
Once the youngling felt better he would follow him home and make certain that nothing else would happen to him. After all even if he wasn't a part of the brothers anymore the male still had honor and a duty to anyone in Zena. He was a protector and guardian of his home...which included rather rude boys as well. The thought brought a rare smile of amusement to his face before he turned away again to patiently wait until the time came to take the boy home.

Staring at the stranger now, Ergon paused before lifting his chin and nodding once. "Fine. You may assist me if you want. Just don't let my parents see you." Rather than scornfully, he spoke in more of a matter-of-fact manner. He knew it would be shameful for his father to see him walking with a non-Zenan. Or, according to the man, someone who looked different.
Eventually, he stood and brushed himself off. This was long enough away from home. "Come along, then," he ordered, chin raised once more as he headed back along the path toward home. With all his confident posture, he still walked as close to the wall of the path as possible.
