Shiloh Beaumont (unmasked) is absolutely impressed with Christopher Watts
A glass bottle sat at the floor by his seat, intricately decorated with weaves and swirls. Despite the fanciful look of the container, it held only water. Shiloh unscrewed the top and took a long sip, watching as Chris dashed in and out and in and back out and finally back into the room.
"Quite." Shiloh hated these people who came in, who disturbed his work and made him lose his things. Honestly, had it been anyone else, Shiloh would have been completely done. This man however was... peculiar. Thorne had an interest in him, and something seemed so entirely off that Shiloh couldn't help but feel perplexed.
"It's so strange," Shiloh mused aloud as he took the pencil, frowning at the condition of the tip, "How hard you people try for such stupid, asinine things." his words were verbose; he was practiced and refined.
Shiloh sighed. "Sir, if I may give you a word of advice," his expression was dark, "And this is only as a favor to Thorne, as he seems to have taken interest in you, stay away from Melany."
There was a pause, rain flickering on the roof of the atrium.
"She will stop you—or anyone—from getting in the way of the tithe tonight. Even now she's watching, actively working against you and the rest of the guests. Do mind yourself."
The way Shiloh spoke gave clear indication that he did not recognize Chris at all.

"You're insufferable." He reminded after returning from the ivory halls empty-handed. Again he about-faced and left the room as quickly as he came, and he had no plans to stray far. With the growing hours of the party, guests passed to and fro with all manner of things wedged in pockets, boots and bras - it was possible that one of them dropped some kind of pen on the way in here. Or he hoped so, because all the wine he'd been toting around (and drinking) left him slightly unsteady on his feet. And he was getting tired of Shiloh's s**t.
So first he searched the beautiful runner leading toward the room, and found nothing. Not a spot of wine, not a speck of dust. Hardly any pencils afoot-- oh wait, that's a brush.
"Zis should do." Alois plucked the thin paintbrush from the floor and pocketed it for the time being. A short stroll led him back into the dramatic aquamarine room where he confronted Shiloh with his findings.
But Shiloh, it seemed, wasn't satisfied. "What do you mean, it isn't good enough? It's a ******** paintbrush! Don't you haf' paints lying around here? I don't care about your preferences, charcoal and pencils and pens be damned!" Huffing heavily, Alois left the room.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Not as ******** up but still sad.
If it wasn't for his conversation with Thorne earlier, Chris would been upset at the lack of recognition on Shiloh's face. As it was, he took it with a sort of resigned acceptance that he was starting to find was accustomed with everything going on here. It didn't mean that it didn't hurt though - but rather, there was a lack of shock that went with it. It just hit a little harder, settled in his bones a little deeper next to the guilt he'd gathered.
"Thank you for the advice Shiloh," He said, clearly amused. "Never though there'd be a day where you'd give some to me. Regardless, I think this I won't take it. I'm sorry."
There was then a quick turn on his heel and with that, he was gone.

Shiloh accepts the pen, drawing out long lines on the Spinel Lady's dress.
"How many times do I have to repeat myself tonight?" The residents of Ashdown were so nosy. "I'll only tell you this once. Melany is trying to stop the guests from preventing the tithe. You would do well to stay out of her way."
He turned back to his art, silently dismissing them.
