To her dismay, he simply pulled her into a big hug, something that made her somewhat uncomfortable. She wasn't really the huggy type of troll, only ever with her close friends, or when she was going to punch one of them. But she endured it, if only to get him to move.
She was pleased at his words toward the end, nodding at the friend that joined them before pointing ahead. "Alright lets move it move it move!"

"Working on it!" Luxara affirmed. They had to keep going, get to the bottom of whatever the hell. Could be great stuff to report back at the swamp, maybe. The greenblood needed to halt quick to get some bolts. She had to reload, feel for bolt count, then keep up with everyone else.
She had to wonder a little of this Caiden kid might be a liability. Out of his element, not one of the rebels. Friendly enough, but still had to be careful.
But that might be more of Forera's thing to worry about. She was the one who had taken a shine to him. Luxara was just concerned about doing what she did best. While everyone continued to run, she lined her shots. Shoot, reload, shoot. Two hard hits. Like a true markstroll.
"All right, keep in line, stay smart, you know the drill, guys!" Gog knew they'd been through enough s**t to handle this kind of crap.

"Watch out!" Suddenly a pattern of lasers appeared and Tevini jumped, startled. She tried to step over them but wasn't quite tall enough. Wincing, she wondered how to get Scuttle across and bit her lip. He wasn't really able to jump it, he'd just have to take the lasers straight on. It made her feel helpless to be unable to help him.

HP: 18/20 Military Grade Kunai Etsali brought a hand up to her mouth to cover a laugh as Caiden swept in with a hug for everyone for coming to save him. Forera didn't look like she much appreciated the response, not after that talking to she had been in the process of giving him, but it was such a classic Caiden move that the thief could not believe the tealblood hadn't expected it. Man, she really should have spent more time with the kid during bloodfest, back before he'd gone and gotten taller than pretty much everyone she knew. He seemed like good company. "Yeah, got it! Come on, let's try going this way next!"Etsali does 3 damage!

Cerpin Sugall HP: 35/40 (lusus) Damage: 4 Direction: Right Tevini charged on ahead and stumbled through the lasers, whimpering as they grazed her. His body flushed and heated with anger as she nursed the injured area. Nobody hurt his friends and got away with it. Cerpin was easily angered, easily riled.
Easily injured.
He dashed towards her, trying to slide under the beams but he slipped and fell straight into the path of one of them. Blossmom squawked in alarm, swooping close to push his child the rest of the way. The purpleblood felt embarrassed but had no choice but to pull himself back on his feet.
"I know it looks bad but we have to keep going." He cut her off, knowing she was gonna freak out over his burned and exposed forearm. He met her eyes with a serious expression. This playboy prince wasn't playing around anymore.

What was going on now? His mind raced until he saw it. Lasers, crowds of people ferrying left and right, and military personnel looking as though they were about to lose their minds. He stepped back, initially too afraid to even thinking about joining this, until someone running in behind him shoved him forward and straight into the thick of it all. He rose, dusted himself off, and moved to shout at whoever it had been, before noticing a flurry of lasers coming toward him.
"s**t, s**t, holy ******** s**t!" He shouted, doing a bit of a dance to avoid them and smacking into a number of people. He continued this maneuver all the way to the left side of the room and found himself melding with the crowd. Realizing that he'd avoided danger, at least for now, he let out an exasperated sigh and hustled to join the others. If he wasn't going to find a way out of this and go home any time soon, it was better to join the effort to... Do whatever they were doing!
He was sure he'd figure out whatever they were doing somewhere along the way, and if not, he'd just feign the knowledge. Everything about this place was beyond him to begin with, anyway. HP: 18/20 - 2 HP2 damage dealt

you can a camera at the far end swiveling and turning to follow your every move As you bend to ease under a laser, the beam suddenly drops down to your height, singing you. Take 3 dmg.
Engrav stared at the far side of the the room, looking at a camera the swiveled and turned to meet his gaze. "Huh", said the yellowblood. He could hear Caiden wailing off in the distance, and the sounds of others trying to get out of the path of lasers. Morrimom was cramped and uncomfortable with all of these other trolls milling about, and she cocked her head and cawed lightly.
"I mean, we can just walk through, right? Do you know how many gigawatts of power it would require for those lasers to actually be able to do damage? There'd need to be a whole slew of batteries around here, and I don't see anything like that." Engrav strove forward towards carefully, still trying to duck under them just in case.
As he tried to duck underneath, a laser swung directly at his head from the side of the room, to intersect the point the camera was staring at. There was a rustling behind him and then suddenly Engrav was on the ground, his head ringing. Morrimom stood over him screeching wildly, and he could hear the scream of tearing metal as she raked at something.
Desperate to get out of the lasers, he rolled to the left, his joining his friend Caiden on the ground.

Lasers, a classic way to deal with intruders. But also kind of cliche. Hemera had to wonder, if this was the first line of defense, what would be further in? Bear traps?
Okay, that was a bit mean. But she would rather judge than deal with her slightly panicked thoughts. Multiple bomb threats, one that's actually real, with a rogue AI. Plenty to worry about! Tacky lasers, preferable!

Xavier hadn’t exactly moved far after he and his lusus had made it through the beams. The jadeblood wished very badly they could all just go back home, this whole situation had transpired into a gigantic nightmare. Neither he nor his Grub Mother really cared for the harsh machinery that was all around them, so it only seemed natural to try and bring the thing down. This after all had been very doom like..the very thing he was sure their orangeblood companion Panili had described…right? He wasn’t sure, Xavier merely sat in silence as he made sure his lusus was actually fine. Anu of course found most of the fussing enduring, but over the top. It truly wasn’t required. She was fine, even if it left a mark and the scent of burning flesh. She gave him a soft pat on the head, comforting him best she knew how to with a gentle smile. See it was fine. She knew some of his worry came from being so far from their other friends, even with his little teal friend in town. She tensed as she heard the sounds of footsteps in the hallway, ready to defend when instead the pair was greeted by another she recognized from the meeting. Scrubbing at his face, he tried to clear up any signs of jade translucent tears. If he sat here and cried it wouldn’t do anytroll any good he realized. “Yuh…I-I think we’re okay.” He looked up at his lusus then back to Sephos with a wry smile. "This isn't anything like the trees or forest back home..but I want it stopped from hurting anyone else." Xavier noted with frown that furrowed his brows. Hearing Caiden’s voice Xavier perked up some, calling for the boy to join them. “Hey…it’s going to be alright! Deep breath.” He soothed, with a worried furrow of his brow allowing the brownblood to hug him with an awkward pat of what he hoped was a comforting gesture. “This place is terrible…we need to try and get this monstrosity shut down. We are all working as a team, it'll be alright.” He nodded slightly rubbing his eyes tiredly as he picked himself up off the floor, his lusus following suit. "I'm going left...you are welcomed to join me. Everyone needs help regardless." He reasoned the lot with a sense of determination, he felt it was his responsibility to try and make a difference...even if it was minor it was better then burying his head in the sand the whole time.

Weird, that it was the first time she wasn't emotionally invested in something but got involved anyway. Like, how much did it matter that a handful of rebels got in on the security breach? Technically, it wasn't their fight. Especially if they could end up in a leveled building.
But what was the fun in ollie-ing when the heat rose? Lasers weren't a joy to work with, technically, but the adrenaline sure was a something.
All the current snakes came around of their own accord, so they must've been invested at least.

Damages, damages. There would be damages after this. Trolls all around were fighting the security system as directly as they could. Necessary for going forward, but a huge setback if- once- they got to the bomb. Who would be held responsible? Perhaps it would lead to more jobs, fixing up the defenses after destroying them.
Hmm, but there were always security upgrades after these sorts of breaches, weren't there? Would the volunteers still be able to be employed? Not that it even paid, really, but she liked having a tangible goal.

Eilidh is attacking the Defense AI!Even with the help earlier back at the central hub, and in the company of Papa Bear and Xavier along with his lusus the little teal troll was scared. She was ready to go home back to her forest and be away from all the commotion and problems. There was so many of them! How were they supposed to help Panili with so much going on? “No it’s…okay Papa Bear and I will go with you Xavy..” She had replied with a hesitant smile. Despite her fears, she followed after Xavier when the announcement came over the loud speaker they needed as many helping hands as possible on deck. She wasn’t sure if it was brave or foolish of him for wanting to help, but she didn’t want to stay behind and let him go alone. Gulping nervously she had held onto Xavy’s hand most of the walk before shying back against her lusus once they entered in the large tower.
Eilidh stayed with the group as closely as she could, that was until the lasers began firing off. Fear made her turn to her lusus for protection. The large badger, bear-like creature lumbered to his ward encircling her in his protective embrace as the beams scorched his white pelt. Cringing visibly, the creature only seemed to be concerned whether or not his cub was safe.
Surrounded by so much noise and chaos, the thought to try and heal one of the injured beasts hadn’t crossed the tealbloods mind. She felt bad not only her Papa was hurt, but it seemed like Xavier’s mother too had gotten her fair share of a burn. “Is everyone okay..?” She asked worriedly.
At the sound of footsteps and the thunderous one of Sephos’s lusus Eilidh made a little sound akin to an ‘eep’ as she shrunk back. “U..um y..yes! We are okay…mostly I think.” she frowned as she looked at the two lusus before nodding wryly, not sure what to make of the new greenblood. She remembered seeing him at the meeting. Giving him a tentative wave in greeting, Eilidh smiled nervously at the other. The group was headed left, to which the teal troll refused to get separated if at all possible.Papa Bear HP: 35/40 3 Damage dealt. She is going left.

Adept Defense B Artifact 2/2Leeroi had surprisingly made through the lasers relatively unscathed. With only a few singed hairs and perhaps another hole in his horns, he couldn't complain. The others around him, though, not so much. So many trolls he wanted to help, but he knew things would only get worse until he shut the machine down. He kept running. Then Hemera's panicked voice froze him to a halt. He whipped around to face the tealblood, who was clearly more shaken than he was. "Sabotage?" Leeroi had pieced that together on his own. He didn't know why this was happening but he didn't care. He just wanted to minimize the damage and punish whoever was responsible. "Yeah, we can team up," Leeroi said, grabbing Mera's shoulder in an attempt to show his support. "Just keep up... and stop looking like you're so gog damn scared!" Leeroi Dealt 2 DMG

It wouldn't matter anyway. But, importantly, he was working with her. Now she just had to make sure the blueblood wouldn't do anything that would put them in further peril.
She had admittedly flinched a little when he slapped a hand on her shoulder. On top of realizing it was obvious how worried she was. Mera crossed her arms. "I'll try." She inhaled. There was no room to trust him if she couldn't even believe the authorities would believe her about what her team had discovered. "But I have a bad feeling about this."
