For the most part Sol kept up with his Matori partner. He knew most of the songs, even if he didn't know them by heart; all except for those that came from Tale. For those he mostly just made up some weird, occasionally singing about pink mammu and giant purple clouds.
Once it was all said and done his lungs were exhausted, his head was light, and Sol's heart was full. "I don't think I've ever sung that much in my life! Or that loud..." Sol rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Do you...normally just burst into song with strangers?"

Laughing at the boy's comment the girl shrugged, "Welp. I guess there's always a time for everything." She grinned before slipping her flute away. Even she needed a breather after that musical fest! "Only with those who know how to have a good time." She teased lightly, "It's always a fun way to pass time after all." Truly this was the first time in a long time that her music had felt so full. Lately it had been for survival more than fun and relaxing so this was nice.
"Though I'm glad that I found such a young talent." She added playfully, "I suppose being strangers is a fixable problem if you wanted a name. I'm Nadiya~"

"...with someone who knows how to have a good time? And you picked me?" He quirked his mouth into a little smirk. This was the first girl that had openly admitted to having fun with him, beyond Ygraine, but she didn't count. Sisters never counted.
"My name's Sol. Did you move here? I know there are a bunch of performers here, but they're all Shifters. None of them have fins for ears." All at once his face went pinched as if he had just realized what he'd said. His parents would kill him if they knew he was speaking so racially.

"I suppose we picked each other." Quipped Nadiya lightly, "Or rather our music sought each other out." That sounded more like a story - a tale of two melodies mingling for the first time. A bit of a twist on some factors and then she'd have the beginning of a great romantic ballad. The thought brought a small laughter to her lips. Who knew meeting a youngling out in Jahuar could bring so much inspiration?
"Sol, nice to meet ya." His question caused her to burst out laughing again, "Well I suppose that's because I'm from Matori. Everyone there has fins for ears." She waved a hand in the air as if to dismiss any signs of offense, "I'm not good at staying in one place so I travel all over and collect songs. I'm used to others being slightly shocked to see me especially towards Zena. They truly weren't expecting a Matori all the way out there~!" Nadiya grinned, "Now that was a fun experience." Not that she had stayed in Zena for long in fact she had barely ventured over the borders into the country. Most of her time had been spent more in Sauti and Tale....

"Yeah, I guess," Sol grumbled, trying his best to look like a little punk but failing spectacularly with his smile. His sister would be green with envy once he told her about this. If he told her about this. Sol knew that once he did she would either be happy for him, or tattle. The chances were too high.
"It was a lot of fun. Maybe we can do it again sometime, but I gotta go right now. ...Be careful in your journies." Sol even went as far as to give a little bow, just like his Papa taught him, before moving away. He had to get back to his family before they caught on. He waved back to her once, and scuttled on his way.
