Juniper Wilcox 25/25 failing for the 3rd time.

Juniper was sent out, yet again, to deliver a message. With the amount of wine she'd been drinking it was not surprising that she was getting herself defuddled.this was the 3rd time now and things were a bit, jumbled.

She wanted to succeed though, so she walked around trying to remember who it was she was suppose to deliver the message to. Maybe it would come back to her when she saw the person?

Try as she might though, and she tried a long while, Juniper had to give intro the fact that she couldn't remember who she was suppose to find.

Juniper swore to god that this had to be a punishment for her after so many failed attempts, but, she was absolutely NOT going to fail this time. She had listened closely to everything told to her and now she was on the hunt.

For 57 cockroaches.

In two distinct suits.

She shivered at the thought.

But found them she did. They were on the dance floor doing their business and appeared to be enjoying themselves. The song that was playing was wrapping up and Juniper wasted no time in butting herself over to them.

Just looking at them made a shudder run down her spine.

FOCUS! Don't forget this again!

"Um, Excuse me! I have a message for you from the Burning Man." She forced a smile on her face. She wanted to make this as quick as possible so she could get the hell away from them. "He wanted to compliment you on your dancing skills. They are top notch! He thinks that you all are doing absolutely splendid and he hopes to continue to enjoy your performances."

The cockroaches stared at her for a moment and Juniper fidgeted. Did they even understand what she said?

"Right. Well. That's it. Have fun with the rest of your night." She gave them a little wave before quickly departing. For some reason she felt like there were bugs crawling all over her but of course there was nothing there.

She returned to the burning man, and like when she first walked up to him, made a point to keep a careful distance from him, unsure if he would actually burn her if they touched. "I gave them your message! I, uh, I am pretty sure they understood it all but I don't particularly speak eh, cockroach." She forced a laugh.

He still had no idea where the snacks or drinks were. Marcus was certain that he had circled the entire party twice by now and yet not a single place he'd found was serving snacks or any drinks. Not even the non-alcoholic variety.

That, and he kept stopping on his quest to try and gain a bit of information here and there, doing or at least trying to do a few favors.
And flirt with the Spinel Lady but that was another matter entirely.

The man on fire wanting him to send a message was honestly, the possibly easiest thing asked of him the entire night.

Just go tell a servant something.

Problem was. The servant was dressed very nice and Marcus got a bit to swept up in asking what they were wearing to remember what the burning man had said. He looked at said man on fire and without saying anything further slunk away.

The quest for food and drink went on...

Al frowned as soon as he'd turned away from the Burning Man... which otherbeing had he pointed out? The forty-something year old couldn't quite remember. He huffed and turned back around to ask for clarification.

[25/25 | LEILA]: successful favor!



Leila had been told about the burning man before, but never seen him in person. Running into him at the party in this fashion made their first encounter a decidedly underwhelming experience: he was underdressed for the occasion compared to everyone else, and his spiel about information in exchange for a favor was given to her with a weary practiced tone that suggested he had already said it about seven hundred times. But it was something simple she could do, and she set about her task with a bit of a lighter step than she'd been navigating the party with earlier (she got heavier the worse her mood was, it seemed, and her path through the manor was marked by scuffed carpeting and cracks in the flooring).

A few minutes later she was in the Scarlet Foyer. Just in time to see the man in question calmly eat a live bird like it was a bonbon. This shocked her enough that her mass ramped upward again, sending her crashing halfway through the floor. She ended up passing along the burning man's words of caution as she was helped out of the occupational hazard she'd just made in the Foyer, which led to some details being lost in the noise of floorboards shifting and settling.

Visibly worse for wear, Leila returned with news of the completed task. She'd hold her tongue on how he'd acted around Eve a couple weeks ago... for now.
