With no response to what she said, Coralie just shrugged and began to eat the nuts and dried fruits that were in her trail mix. Honestly she could go for some shellfish of sorts,but this would do for now ", You know, the child we have been seeing is actually quite cute! However, they are very brave for being in these woods alone. I know a few of my family would never dream to come out to a place like this... or leave their village as a matter a fact."

One ear swiveled towards Coralie, and Rei popped one of the candied peaches in her own mouth....before grimacing and spitting it out. Way too sweet!
"They are...wither brave or...just...obstinate...Though..." She paused, her other ear flicking back and forth. "They must...come here a....lot. They do not seem.... Scared. And they seem to...know how to...avoid us..."

Coralie nodded, agreeing with Rei ", They must know their way around . For all we know, they are able to see in the dark as well, which gives us a disadvantage. Also, Tomoe said something about water is bad for them. Why do you think that is?"

 Bridgette listened to those around her and smiled. "Maybe they spend a lot of time in this forest and know a lot about the place." To them this could be home or something what did she know? She shrugged and smiled at those in her group. "Maybe they like something that is the antithesis of water? Maybe heat or fire or something like that? Or maybe the water messes up their fur. I don't really know. I hope we can find out though."

Rei shrugged at the question concerning water.
"For all we...know...It simply means...they they are...afraid of it..." She frowned, looking into the distance. "If...others that are...cruel come to such a conclusion...But surely...none that we came on this trip with...would be so cruel as to...terrify or...harm a child just...to see what happens...correct...?"
With the candied peaches gone, she resorted to the one thing she had snuck along with her; Honey-glazed roasted cashews.

 "No problem." Tambre stated as she glanced around, still wondering where the kids could have run off to at this point. She blew out a breath and nodded toward Coralie, "I wouldn't mind some fruit." It was healthier than sweets after all. She didn't really have much to add to the conversation, having no idea why they'd dislike water. Of course, her own race was more keen on fire, so perhaps the anthesis thing was right. She really wasn't all that sure. "I think the best thing we can do is keep moving and looking. I'm not really sure if I want to guess too much about things I have no idea about..."

Bridgette nodded. "Yeah I wouldn't want to hurt a child ever. It would just be so sad." She shook her head and frowned. "Right now I just want to help and have a good adventure and maybe even make some friends." She wasn't sure if all that would happen but she hoped it would. She nodded her head. "I agree with Tambre. We should probably keep moving and trying to find them. They are both so different and yet so fast. I really hope we find them again soon."

 Aurora grumbled, that kid had thrown rocks at her, he really really needed a time out. Or therapy something to deal with these behavioral issues. Aurora wandered off a little further trying to catch up with one of the kids, they had to be getting tired. "Come on haven't you tortured us and Tomoe enough??" Aurora called out. "Why do you want to play this game anyway?? Why not try playing hop scotch or something else??" Aurora called out on the off chance that one of them might answer her.

Bridgette hummed more as she looked around wondering where these kids were. One was a lot nicer than the other. She didn't know what was up with the gray kid and why it wanted to hurt people or play pranks like that? She wasn't pleased that Aurora had had rocks thrown at her. She sighed and shook her head having no idea what was up with these kids. She wished they could be caught and found and maybe they would settle down or maybe they would grow out of this phase? She really hoped they would be able to grow out of this phase because teenagers like this would be terrifying. She would not want to be in charge of them at that age if they ere like this as kids who knew what they would be like if they didn't mature. She kept on looking around and trying to catch their scent. Where were the little kids?

Nodding in agreement about the need to find them, Rei picked out one or two of the cashews, set them in the fluff of her tail, and continued onwards. She paused to offer Aurora a cashew, popping yet another in her own mouth. At this rate, she would have none left to tempt the kids with!
"Have we...made certain..." she cast a glance over her shoulder. "That we are...not going...in circles...?"

"I don't think the kid knows what hopscotch is," Coralie whispered over to Aurora, wondering why the gray one was so mean. They had tried to get them to be stung by stinging nettles AND threw rocks and an injured Aurora. That wasn't very nice at all.

Aurora smiled and took the nut that Rei offered her "Thanks" She said with a smile and then started putting out a trail of marshmallows. As she walked along, either to mark her trail or to try to lure the kids in, or maybe because the grey freshling was driving her a little batty. Aurora laughed maybe she would write a horror story of the grey little fox like freshling of the haunted woods. "I'm going to write about your little but and immortalize you in the written word forever!!"

Tambre shook her head, the kids definitely needed a time out, but the first priority was finding them first. They couldn't have much more places to hide, could they? "I'm not really sure if it matters if we're going in circles, it seems like the kids are playing us and have us where they want us... They're in control here, and that's the problem."

Naoki was exhausted.
Running around was usually fun, but typically he didn't have this many people coming after him at once. Tomoe was one thing. These strangers, however, were quicker and more persistent. The child had begun to slow down, tiredly settling themselves into a bush. Not the best sleeping spot, but trees had become pretty uncomfortable over the past few hours.
It was there they rested, falling into a light sleep. The sound of voices eventually snapped them awake, head raising slightly to spot a group of people. Great. Of course. This was getting irritating. Whoever these people were, they were far better at this game then Tomoe, and now he was done. Fine. Fine! They won! He'd give up!
"Why won't you guys go away?!" Naoki cried out, standing up and stomping a foot in frustration. "You're not even supposed to be here! Uuuuugh, fine! I'll go back, okay?!" With this, the small child vanished into the woods, heading back to where they last saw Tomoe.
The group has successfully spotted Naoki!
