We may also have some salad with our chicken.
*sigh* I really need to get the kitchen stuff unpacked.

I had really delicious tuna salad with chicken fillets tonight. I'm a huge fan of meat-with-salad combos for dinner... So versatile and easy! whee

We ended up foregoing the salad last night. We had some Texas toast with the chicken instead. We also had some frozen yogurt for dessert (cappuccino chunky chocolate for me....yum!)
Tonight, I have no clue what we're having. It kind of depends on what I can get to in the kitchen.

Tonight we made our own pizzas. Though it was store bought crusts. Pretty decent if you ask me. We were planning on the almond chicken, but just needed something quick and easy instead of something new.
I can't wait to start fixing all the new recipes. I'm kind of getting bored with my old stand-bys.

Tonight we're having sandwiches...or whatever we can each find for ourselves. Hopefully either tomorrow or Friday we'll be having the Almond Chicken from the Recipe of the Week. We bought the stuff to make it already.

I feel guilty, but for a break I took the kids out to eat. The older one has oral surgery tomorrow and won't be eating solids for a while, and the youngest one starts cancer treatement next week. So we treated ourselves. We have been dealing with the hurricane and the bad weather, cranky people, no electricity, shortages of food and water. Tonight was the first night the Melting pot was open again since the hurricane, so we went there for supper, we had a great waitress that took care of us and took care of most of our bill. Our $100 dinner only cost us $25, so we left her the rest of the $40 as tip. She deserved it. We had everything from the cheese fondue to the salad to the coq au vin to the chocolate dessert. What a nice treat to not have to make everything or clean up...... Well I"m off to bed.

Tonight I'll be having a typical dish from the Balear Islands called " Caldereta", which is just a way to prepare lobster. Once I finally get used to the measurement system used in this guild I shall post the recipe sweatdrop .

Jedi_Junkie Kurd Jam Once I finally get used to the measurement system used in this guild I shall post the recipe sweatdrop . Do you use the metric system? If you do, I believe I could convert it. smile All my measuring utensils have American standard, and metric measurements on them. Sure ^^, thank you. I haven't found an online converter that works well and fast. As of now, typing a recipe while simultaneously converting the measurments takes me forever sweatdrop , and I always have the remaining doubt that the conversions aren't accurate sad .

K and I have talked about going there, but then we moved away crying Be sure and give us updates on your kids. I know you will. Kurd Jam Once I finally get used to the measurement system used in this guild I shall post the recipe sweatdrop . Don't worry about it. We have another one that posts in metric. Also I have put some links in the stickies to convert. If you post one in metric, more than likely one of us will come back behind you and give the Imperial equivalent to make it easier on everyone. So don't worry about it. Everyone is welcome here to post in whatever units you feel best (as long as it isn't some weird system that they only use in the brush of Africa that we don't know how to convert).
