"I'd think you'd be against courtly dances." Alg chuckled, mostly teasing, though what any sort of of otherworldly dance was like was beyond him. Besides that he'd taken to dreading most things to do with Other Ashdown and the kids at this point.

"I'll let you coordinate us," Alg had actually stood a moment to flip through things in the area and look on the floor because there had been 2 envelopes here a second ago. Once things were lifted, sifted and impossible locations glanced through he gave the envelope up for a goner and sat back down.

He huffed a bit at the disappearing act but rested a hand on Jeremiah's knee and squeezed, "I suppose being invited is better than waiting for something to drop on our heads."

"I am but not necessarily opposed to dressing up," he replied. Jeremiah was not sure how he felt about the idea of a ball, of this invitation and the key that weighed heavy in his hand. Adoelle would be waiting then, he knew that, but who knew what else.

His fingers squeezed at the other man when he moved to get up. "I'm sure I can come up with something for the both of us, if we're to dress appropriately." Jeremiah already had a few ideas. An arm wriggled and wormed it's way around Algie to hold him and tug him close.

"We knew it was coming, I just was not expecting a gilded invitation." The silver-haired man turned his head, pressed a kiss to Algie's temple. "Dinner's waiting for us and then the heathens will want theirs."

Which lead to him looking for said heathens but only Violetta was there, sleeping in their spot on the windowsill. There was an eye-roll that Hellbine had disappeared once more.

"I'll leave clothes to you then," This time. He'd defer supernatural ball attire to his husband. A normal event he could do well on his own, but something bespoke with cufflinks and a pocket square probably wasn't going to do as well over there.

Alg leaned into Jeremiah, realizing he hadn't given him a kiss since he got home, and turned to do so.

"I think I'd prefer talking about it over dinner.." Alg smirked. He would take food over anything really. As if on cue his stomach made a noise, "And let me put these bags away."

Jeremiah smiled when he was kissed, though he turned away at the last minute to let out another yawn. "Then let's get you fed," he said before giving the other man a squeeze, fingers dragging along the side of his belly a moment. "Put the bags away and I'll get everything ready at the table."

Then Jeremiah was pushing himself up to stand, a hand offered to help up Alg. Even if there was some other ashdown party in their future, it wasn't right this moment. They could handle it.

"You seem tired," Alg took the other man's hand and stood. He stepped close to his husband and brushed a hand along his cheek lightly. The couple inches between them were closed for another kiss with a minor float before he settled back on his feet. "We can eat in here. I can get everything."

Mostly because Jeremiah was improving but the fits still seemed to hit him at least once a day (better than several) and they really took it out of him- some of them breeching the wall between here and the otherworld which meant there was no rest at all.

"Hopefully this has all died down before this dance." He was clearly concerned, there would be no hiding it. "I'm sure it will be fine. C'mon- you sit. Put the game on." They'd fallen asleep during the last one.

It was another moment of Jeremiah's stomach fluttering, eyes sliding shut to the kiss. Algie was right, he was tired, but when there were moments like this ... It was things he wanted to treasure, to keep.

"I love you," he replied instead. Algie's worry was all that much more present now since they had come back but it was overwhelmed by the other feelings there. "I'll do that ..." Which meant he was agreeing and giving his husband one last kiss and sitting back down.

That he yawned again probably said this was for the best because his sleep was not always sleep when he had an attack or otherwise. Almost like other ashdown was making it's presence known; when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back.

"Thank you, precious." With that Jeremiah was fishing around for the remote to put the game on.

Alg smiled, "I love you too. Now sit." Jeremiah was given a little pinch before he complied and sat down.

Alg was better, since his powers had increased, at not projecting too much at Jeremiah. Especially recently, his own feelings locked up as much as possible in an effort to not burden Jeremiah with excess concern- no extra noise.

The thank you was given no response though Alg ran his hand breifly through his husbands hair affectionately before he headed off to feed them- and the beasts.
