It would be some time and a liberal use of hot water before Rose would emerge from the bathroom, flushed but clean and looking terribly pleased with herself. She slipped into the shirt she'd laid out, buttoning it til she was just decent and not a stitch beyond; it was cold, especially with towel-dried hair, but the appeal of the shirt was an obvious choice given whom she was sharing her bed with that night.

She sat on the corner of the bed and curled her legs up beneath her and to the side, watching the other two from her perch with the same dimpled smile she'd lead them in there with.

Con woman though she was, Marisol thought Rose might be the mastermind, as she walked out of the bathroom. The steam behind her made it obvious that while the room itself wasn't cold, there was a chill in the air. Picking up the garments she'd worn earlier, she dropped the undergarments she'd been wearing on top of the pile.

Flashing a smile--and more than that--she pulled a smaller luggage case out where she'd put clothes that were more size. She was far more petite than her two roommates and likely would have drowned or looked like a child playing dress-up. Neither was quite the image she wanted to go for as she kneeled on the floor and began to rummage.

"I think we did this a bit in reverse," she chuckled as she pulled on a short-sleeved crop top that on her fell over one shoulder and was a bit large. Throwing her damp hair over her shoulders, she stood up to shimmy into a pair of underwear before going to sit by Rose. With a grin, she leaned her head on the other woman's shoulder.

He had a towel around his waist when he came out, for all the good it would do him. Water still beaded on his shoulders and back, but in the cooler room, it dried as quickly as he would have hoped.

Cas wandered over to the bed, where he'd tossed the boxers and tank on his way into the bathroom. Sure enough, it took all of five seconds after emerging from the bathroom for him to unwrap the towel from his waist and sling it across one shoulder.

Pulling the boxers on, he grabbed one end of the towel and rubbed it across the top of his head, drying the hair as well as he could.

"From behind, you mean?" he joked with a knowing, rather satisfied quirk of his brow at Marisol.

Damn if he didn't crack himself up sometimes.

He decided to abandon the tank, tossing it on top of the suitcase as he dried the rest of his body with the towel. The smell of steam wafting out of the bathroom sent an odd sort of relaxation through him.

"I guess of all the things that you'd think of happening on a dangerous mission... this is one of them." He wasn't James Bond, after all, and in ten years of running combat missions, this was the first one in which anything of the sort could even imaginably have happened.

Not that Cas was complaining.

Blue eyes watched Marisol, not like a hawk - appreciative as she may have been for the view - but more mindfully, tracing the dancer's curves with familiarity. A slow smile formed once the other came to her, her posture relaxed as she accepted the woman's closeness, one arm lacing around her hips and delicately touching her cheek and lips against the dark, wet locks. "I'm not sure we do anything conventional, Marisol. Were there a story to be written about this portion of our lives, I believe that would be our tagline."

Her free hand slid down the woman's arm, gaze flickering towards Cas as he emerged, admiring his easy disregard for giving half a damn with a faint smile. "Of everything that has happened in the past month, I think this is perhaps the easiest to accept." Metal birds that crapped poison? Gods and Goddesses? Her, shooting a bow? That all seemed a lot harder for her to justify than the two in the room.

Scooting closer to Marisol, she encircled the woman's hips with both arms then, tilting her head to the side and giving Cas her best relaxed, there's something missing from this invitational look. "That said, if I knew I had this to look forward to every time I had to put my life on the line, I could learn to be a thrill seeker." A soft touch of laughter trickled between her lips, eyes closing in contentment. No matter what tomorrow brought, she at least had this moment, this memory.

"Mm, unconventional certainly has its charms," she agreed, "and you'd certainly love to be behind, wouldn't you, Cas?" she added in with a purr.

It certainly was far easier to fall into this. Even new performances, new classes, and new cons always had a thin layer of wonder. What ifs and anxiety, that were overpowered by the thrill and need. But this... There was none of the caution or thought of warning. Instead there was only relaxation, an ease which promised safety. It was right, somewhere in the very essence of herself, and that kind of pull was futile to resist. Not that she'd even bothered trying. She relaxed further into the woman's embrace, smiling, as she pointedly looked at Cas as if to ask whether he really wanted to be all the way over there.

"Oh thrill seeking is quite addicting," she grinned. And then because the timing felt right, the trust had been built, she extended a piece of herself that she'd thought she would never be able to reveal. "My other job, as a con woman, provides plenty of it. The life or death is new. And I'd give up both jobs for the feeling I get with you two."

"What, you mean you don't like being attacked constantly by enemies?" Cas said to Rose as he vaulted onto the bed, and scooted so he could lean against the headboard. Plenty of room beside him, if they should choose to join him for a snuggle. But he'd also admire the view from where he sat if they chose not to move.

"You were a con woman?" he echoed, looking at Marisol with what seemed to be renewed appreciation. Who would've guessed? Then again, he supposed, that was the whole point.

"I knew a couple of con artists when I was younger," he said. "Good guys. For the most part. They all got into it for different reasons, but they were... well, compared to the cowboys we spent our time around, they were pretty damn clever. They actually had an idea of what they wanted to do with their lives, you know?"

Slim brows slowly lifted at the admission, but her arms did not loosen, a small smile forming as she gently kissed the woman's temple. "I've met a few people that have tried to take advantage, thinking me a silly girl with no business sense, but I don't know that I've met anyone who willingly calls themselves a con-anything." Rose sounded more amused and interested than anything, a soft hum following the chuckle under her breath. "I only know what I've seen on the television, shows. Hardly knowledgeable. But I'd never ask you to give up anything that gave you joy, my dear."

She managed a small pout when Cas moved to the opposite side of the bed, nestling in closer to Marisol in return, lips ghosting over the woman's shoulder. "Performing is not life or death, nor the type of 'thrill' people think of when joined with the term 'thrill seeking,' but the feeling..." Blue eyes looked off into the distance, smiling against Marisol's skin. "It's similar to being with the two of you." Rose lifted her head then, glancing between the two and chuckling softly.

"But since we're in a sharing mood...Rose is, in fact, my last name." Her gaze flit away again. "My name is Juniper Rose. You may both use it, or June, but if you abuse it I'll disown you, irregardless of how terribly fond I am of both of you." When her eyes sharpened, so too did her smile, bowing her head to again trace her lips subtly over Marisol's exposed shoulder.

She nodded with Cas's assessment, "In my experience, thieves take a moment. Con people, they have a plan and are usually building towards a future. There's a thrill about finding something worth stealing and rather than simply taking it, constructing a plan where you're willingly given it," she explains. "It helped pay for ballet, too."

"Then they are fools," she chuckled, "you're the furthest thing from a silly girl. Much too clever to fall for anything you don't want to. In fact," she said turning her head towards the woman, "you and I could rule the world. I might be the king but you, Rose, would be the queen."

Marisol considered the name, going as far to try it out on her tongue, but found it felt foreign and she didn't associate it with the woman beside her. It helped of course that her lips were making the skin of her shoulder tingle. Or maybe it was all in the image, a beautiful rose with hidden thorns fit the woman better.

"You're still Rose to me," she decided before she shifted, subtly, in the blonde's embrace, to look at Cas. "Since we seem to be in a game of Truth, without the Dare, anything you'd like to share? Or just enjoying the view?"

He was certainly enjoying the view, and would have been content to sit there all night watching the two of them, partaking in their company. There was a sort of warmth around them that didn't come from the heater or the steam floating out of the bathroom. It was a rare feeling for Cas, quite unlike the company of his fellow Marines or his crew in college. There was no testosterone-fueled rage here.

"Juniper Rose," he said, letting the name roll off tongue, trying out its taste. "Did your parents really like flora?" A gentle smirk, and then he, too, decided he preferred Rose to anything else. Roses were more sophisticated, elegant in a way that could still hurt if you tried to grab it by the thorns. Fitting.

"Truth?" he added. "What do you want to know?" There wasn't much he was above sharing, no secrets that he harbored from the world. His friends from college knew everything there was to know about him. His brothers in the Marines perhaps knew even more, having seen him through countless battles and war.

"When I was sixteen, I took a horseshoe to a guy's face," he said. "They liked to mess with my sister. I had enough. I didn't stop until I couldn't physically hold the horseshoe anymore, it was so slippery with blood." But they'd been in the middle of nowhere, Washington, where police and sheriffs weren't particularly relied on, so he'd gotten away with it. "They threw us off the ranch. My father disappeared. I somehow got into college three years later and haven't seen my sister since."

The blonde smiled fondly at Marisol's words, touching their brows briefly before she too adjusted to better face Cas, arms still tucked around the dancer's middle, the simple shirt she wore brushing high on her long legs. "I will delightedly be your Rose," she hummed softly.

"My father is a master of puns, self-proclaimed, mind you." A soft sound of mirth escaped her. "He liked to tell me that had I been a boy, I'd have been named Thorn or Bramble." Shaking her head subtly, her smile was exasperated, but fond, the way one can be when thinking about family. "Brilliant man, he works in navigational software, calls himself 'Compass' as a joke. Mother, she's a landscape architect, and put those two together..." Her shoulders lifted in the barest of shrugs. It didn't bother her, really, but the question always inevitably came.

Cas' question was answered with a rapt, "Everything," sharing a glance with Marisol as she relaxed against the dancer, set for some grand story. What he shared was a bit more than grand, and by the end of it, her intrigued little smile had evaporated into a concerned shock, her lips parted in the disbelief of what he had to endure, eyes nearly pale with the mere idea of it. Murmuring softly to Marisol, "I believe that earns our presence," she carefully (and with some small reluctance) disentangled herself from the woman and slid out from behind her.

Rose glided over the bed on hands and knees until her fingers reached his bare skin, sliding up his stomach to his chest and leaning there. One hand lifted to brush through his wet hair, ending with a gentle cup of his cheek. "I'm grateful you're with us now," she intoned softly, leaning in to delicately kiss the corner of his mouth and settling against his right side.

That had not been a truth she was expecting and she felt an ache of compassion clench tight in her chest. Perhaps the deliberate bludgeoning of a man concerned her but she if someone had messed with her parents, or even these two, she had no doubt she'd do something of similar means. In a manner, she'd probably do worse. Yet underneath it, was a rage that anyone should mess with this man.

She was so intense of her study of him that she almost didn't hear or feel the disentanglement of limbs until the warm breath hit her cheek and the coolness of the room began to ghost over her skin. She crawled over the bedspread, waiting until she was next to him, before she fell in the space beside him on the left. A leg reached over, feet tangling, as she pressed a kiss to his cheek and draped an arm over his chest, fingers settling over his heart.

"We both are," she added. "I would've bludgeoned his p***s, too," she couldn't stop herself from saying. Perhaps an angry Marisol was something everyone should strive not to see. Which now meant never hurting to the two beside her.

"It's alright," he'd begun to say even as they moved toward him. "It was a long time ago. It's just life." He would've liked to say it was a different Cas ago, but deep down, he knew that wasn't the truth. There was a fire in him that had been lit on that day 17 years ago that had driven him ever since, always onto better things. He'd be lying if he said that he hadn't ever pictured that cowboy's face on an opponent in combat in the last ten years. It was an inexplicable sort of fuel for him, far beneath the surface.

"But I'm glad I'm here as well," he concluded as Rose and Marisol settled beside him, and he pressed a kiss to each of their foreheads, wrapping his arms around them and pulling them close.

A short laugh rose up at Marisol's comment, and then, "I should've."

He let them lapse into a brief silence, taking comfort in their collective presence and the relative calm that enveloped them, far from the chaos outside. He could fall asleep here, just here, and face tomorrow with a new strength
