Her head bobbed slightly with a nod and she turned to start leading the way to her home. Masika would toss a glance over her shoulder when Xewai proclaimed that he could eat something large and had to giggle at him once again. A giggle that was almost turned into a pure laugh when she heard his stomach growl and his reaction to it. Looking forward again to make sure she wasn't veering off course her long pointed ears and her antennae twitched in unison. "Thanks. My Muma got him for me and she works with all the familiars to make sure they keep in line." The hybrid girl looked back at Xewai yet again. "You don't have a familiar?" Her voice was full of curiosity. Maybe her mother could tame one for him. Or simply buy one.

When Masika looked back at him a few times, he just met her gaze with a cheesy grin until she turned forward again. He couldn't help it! She just kept giggling, and quite frankly, he enjoyed it.
"Nope, I don't have one! I tried to keep a giant fish for a while when I was a little one, I called him FishyFriend, but when we went off on a mission for a while, one of the people thought that I was just holding this huge fish to eat later and and thought it would be funny to let him go. But that's okay! I'm sure he's way happier in the sea anyway!" He thought back to that fish. It was when he was off on his third or fourth mission... He really didn't mind though, it was just a fish. And not having a pet that was a fish made it WAY easier to eat fish.
"You know, you giggle alot!" It seemed that ever since they had met a few minutes ago it was just giggling. And boy did Xewai revel in it! "It's wonderful! I hope I can keep you giggling, cuz that just makes the whole world happier!"

"Awe! What a shame. Though I guess he would be happier in the ocean. With other fish friends." Masika smiled at the thought. It did make her think about her own familiar and whether or not he would be happy in Oba with other Janarim. Sadly she was too selfish to let him go. He was blue just like her and such a gentle giant. With the comment of her giggling a lot she turned to look at Xewai. "Oops." Masika pressed her lips together to keep from giggling again, though she was smiling quite a bit. "So your mother won't be too worried will she? I can ask my Muma to speak with her so you don't get into trouble."

"Yeah! That's exactly what I think! I hoped he lived a good long fishy life out the in the deep blue sea." Maybe since the Fish had been caught before, it was smart enough to stay far far away from shore now. The reality and likelihood that the fish was caught and eaten wasn't something he could think about, Nope nope!
"Noooo, No no no~!" Xewai playfully groaned as Masika pressed her lips together. "It's like the sun not shining! You should keep giggling! It's perfect and great!" Maybe one of these days he'd learn to keep his mouth shut and people wouldn't change what they were doing cuz of him. It seemed like a sin to have stopped such melodious giggling!
"I don't really have a mom anymore. Looooong story, and a loooong time ago, so it's fine. Same with my pops too. I have my people back at the Buhawi headquarters, but they know I'm good on my own. I'm a little reckless, but I'm careful.. Most of the time anyway. Guess not today though, since I'm here! That all worked out in the end, though! I did get to meet you!"

His compliments about her giggling made her smile broaden. Though she wasn't so sure her laughter was like the sun. Then she heard that he had no mother. Or father. Life without her Muma and Dadae would be miserable for her! Masika stopped walking so that she could turn to face Xewai and then hug him. Whether or not he said it was fine she still felt he needed a hug. "I don't know what I would do without my parents." She claimed. Edaj wasn't so thrilled that they had stopped walking but he did so anyways. A huff coming from the large beast as he watched his person hug the boy they found. It seemed the Janarim was still unsure about him.

It would come as a surprise that someone like Xewai didn't get hugs all that often. You'd honestly think that he'd be the person to fly around giving hugs and clinging to everyone who even simply said 'bless you' when he sneezed. But hugs were really strange to give and receive; it felt like such an invasion of other's space, just going up and hugging them out of no where, so he always held back in doing so.
But reciving them was a WHOLE 'nother story. He loved getting them, so when Masika suddenly turned around and wrapped her arms around him, he happily returned the embrace, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Alot of people wouldn't know what to do. I was only a few years old and I was really lost and really scare back then. But there are always people out there who will want to help. They can never replace who you lost, but love never really leaves the world, I think. It just comes back as new love, new friends, new family and the like. So I'm fine, I'm happy!" Xewai enjoyed the embrace for a few seconds longer before his stomach growled once more in protest.
"Alright, I'm ALMOST happy! I'll be 100% happy once my stomach decides to quiet down some! Geesh, you'd think I hadn't eaten this morning!"

She still couldn't imagine her life without her parents. Her mother especially. Masika was so well looked after by her mom. So was her sister and her brother. Her dad was there but mostly he was training to become a shaman. She always admired that her mother put aside her own aspirations so that her father could reach his goals. When she heard Xewai's stomach growl again another giggle came out. "Alright lets get you some food." With that Masika took his hand and practically dragged him along as she quickened her pace. Edaj watched oddly and followed along behind the boy. (( Tis my last post for this rp! BUT we can start a new one with Xewai and Dem if you want! ))

"Thank you, Masika. I do appreciate it!" He was thankful for both the hug and for the kind words and the offer of food. He had no shortage of friends around Matori who were kind, but to actually find someone else his own age acting like such was refreshing.
He looked forward to encountering his new friend's 'Muma'! If she was just as wonderful as Masika had turned out to be, he was just a little frightened! Maybe he wouldn't want to ever leave!
For now, he was mentally preparing himself for this new venture into the unknown. Atleast he had a nice warm hand and a nicer warm person at the end to guide him!
