At first, Kolako hadn't really given the Civisect vs. Chittentown thing much thought. Two cities, aiming to see who'd be the fastest to get to the sky?? It was preposterous, obviously-- Papi said so, so it must've been. She'd heard over and over from him that it was dangerous and bad on the outside, but Kolako had her doubts-- If it'd been so bad, why did it work in the past? But Koko kept these thoughts to herself, considering Papi would only get worried from hearing them. He might think she'd want to actually go there. Which she didn't. (Maybe. She was curious after all.) She liked her forest, quite a lot. But when she'd heard from Nucleo that there was maybe something bad going on with the space thing, Koko felt a direct need to help. (While also hearing Papi mention how he knew it, several times, including on the way there.) Which meant she needed to call on her friend-- Lutrin!! Of course, the Squeak Squad wasn't complete without the leader herself!!

She'd invited Lutrin along, and like a mini herd, their group came together. While Kolako hadn't really known the others too well, the act them all bringing food and yummy stuff together made her feel a bit better about being around them. "We brought snacckssss!!" Kolako echoed, walking in with surprisingly none on hand-- However, the mystery was soon answered by a loud grunt coming from the door. Kolako quickly went out and exchanged a few words with Papi, the general gist of it being please stay out and try not to kill any lusi or destroy this trolls hive. He'd placed the food down, though it was covered in slobber-- Thankfully, they were in little plastic baggies!! So useful!!!

Kolako quickly brought several in with a big enough basket to place on the table. "Yummy yummy snacks!! This is gonna be so cool! We'll be like the Squeak Squad 2.0!!" Kolako exclaimed, dropping her basket down and waving at all the trolls there excitedly with both hands. "Hola, hi!! I'm Kolako, I remember all of you!! Well, most'a you trolls!" Kolako waved at them all excitedly once more, wide smile not quite reaching her eyes before hopping onto a chair and sitting there. She would've approached more trolls and greeted them, however there was no time for this, as they had all arrived a little too late. She'd wait 'till after her announcement, or unless another troll talked to her or something', she guessed.

koko is available for interaction as well : )!!

Meet me at this direction blah blah... Eridia could've or perhaps should've read Chiara's full letter instead of just that phrase. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of time, though anything involving the blueblood ensured some twisted fun in the long run. The highblood softly chuckled as she entered Panini's hive gracefully, as a highblood should. Instinctively she frowned as she saw the humble environment around her. A purpleblood such as herself should not be invited in places such as this, then again she wasn't even invited in the first place so she couldn't really argue. However four things prevented her from groaning and leaving-- one, the smell of tea, as she always found the smell enticing. Two, a troll. Was that Kolako? How in the world? And bringing gifts? Why even? Was this some kind of intimate get together among friends?

Her being here was just... awkward? Well, gotta make the best of this then.

The third troll, or trolls, who kept her here were Hemera. It was good to at least see another recognizable face, not to mention the lovely teens she had caught a glimpse from bloodfest. Finally, Chiara who appear to be accompanying the tealblood. She would make her presence noticeable soon enough, so she let both girls be for the time of being. Instead, her attention focused on Koko and her little gifts. So naive this girl was. No one would appreciate it, she was sure. Eridia crept behind the little redblood who almost too innocently sat on a chair. This was just too easy. With a smirk, she covered the girl's eyes and said,

"Ooo! Fancy seeing you here dearie... She whispered with a giggle. "Care to guess who 'tis?"

Eridia is also open for interaction!

More trolls brought more snacks! Panili slipped into the nutritionblock, regaining her senses and finding a little peace and quiet – or, as much as existed with the buzz of guests and the room around her. She fumbled around in the cabinets for dishware, cursing herself for not investing in a pack of paper nutrition discs when she was in town. There would be a lot of dishes to do later! She fumbled with a stack of the planes, giving a brief nod to her guests as she left to rejoin the others. “I have some dishes! I… I think we’re almost ready to begin, so get comfortable around the tables!” She announced.

Panili put the wares down and excused herself again. She would need some quiet and a few deep breathing exercises to prepare herself.

Quote:
Woops, I quoted on pure habit

Sephos blushed. "It's... it's nothing." he said. There may have been, on his face, a rare upturn of the lips - a smile if you would. The blush deepened at the hug, and, after a stunned moment, he tried to return it, awkwardly. "It's, uh. It's fine." he babbled a little. It was the most he could manage, honestly. It was only after she had moved on to Rastin that he managed to put a different sentence together; "... nice to see you too."

He drank his tea quickly to quench the oddly not unpleasant nervous nausea and poured himself another cup, still blushing. It was, indeed, true. He was happy to be here. He was happy to see her. He was glad he had climbed all the way there... and he was also... tired? Overwhelmed? Happy?

The smile - still lingering awkwardly on his face, began to fade as more and more trolls arrived and the hive became... crowded. It quickly started to get to overwhelming levels - this was more than Sephos was used to. Sure, he'd run a booth during Bloodfest, but Punkie had done most of the people-stuff. He'd retreated to the greenhouse behind the booth on a frequent basis, surrounding himself with plants and isolation - and, at Panili and Rastin's booth, tea and quiet.

He wanted to retreat somewhere, but she looked like she was working up to something and he... wanted to be there for her? This was so confusing. Either way, he didn't know where her garden was, and he didn't want to miss what she needed to say, so he stayed there with his tea, holding his mug tightly as if his life depended on it as his stress level gradually increased. He also watched as the food selections increased - apparently, others had had the idea to bring food. Or, he'd had the right idea. Some of it even looked good, and he was hungry, but he didn't leave his spot. His spot was safe.

A glimpse of a certain lighter-toned purpleblood helped a little - he at least knew Eridia, and that she would understand things he didn't... so he could get the bigger picture. It also helped that there were trolls he'd at least seen before. He waited uncomfortably, wondering if there was something else to do.

She had enough time to steel herself. Panili closed her eyes, and there was blackness. Thank goodness, no nightmarish visions tearing through her subconscious now. It felt like nothing on Alternia could stop her. She clutched her scarf, gave herself a quiet little nod and strode into the main room where her guests were waiting.

“Excuse me everyone! I think just about everyone’s here, and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.” She announced. Panili smoothed herself and joined everyone at the table, standing up as tall as she could even with her petite stature. “First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you for coming on such short notice. Even if we are barely acquaintances – especially if we are barely acquaintances! – it means so much to me that you would have faith in me enough to come all this way and hear me out. If you have any doubts I hope to clear those up tonight.”

She paused and nodded firmly. She would no longer be taken lightly. Panili was gaining confidence in front of crowds, at least having a captive audience instead of trying to greet a flood of trolls. “Second, oh gosh. I can’t thank you enough for bringing this wonderful feast! I can’t believe my eyes! You are are really exceptional.” It was true, in fact. These trolls were all rather exceptions on Alternia. Panili would never admit that the troll race as a whole was unblemished, but some of these individuals had a remarkable track record that she could almost hardly believe. “So thank you from my…” She paused, finding the right word. “Bloodpusher to yours. Thank you.”

Panili pushed her hair behind her shoulders and wove her fingers together. Her sleeves slipped down over her hands as her tone grey solemn.

“The reason I’ve brought you together today is based upon an accumulation of recent events, coupled with my own psionic gift.” Panili closed her eyes as she gazed downward, and reopened them to recall the events in sequence. “As you all know, trolls have not been space-bound for many sweeps. Since the new regime and the destruction of a large portion of the population, this has been the case. Progress has been comparatively sluggish, in the opinion of many Alternians. Of course, recently there have been certain events that have kickstarted this… ‘Space Race’. The unrest amongst the population with the surfacing of rebels being one, which of course lead to the conception of Civisect and subsequent competition between scientific facilities on Alternia. The magnitude of space exploration hit – quite literally – when a Pre-Marian spaceship crash landed in Four Fronds. All of these events have been building gradually over the past sweeps, and it seems as though we’re about to make history. That leads me to my visions.”

Her mouth twisted up and Panili reached for her hair, giving it a calming few tugs before revealing her inner fears. What if they don’t believe you?

“Since I was created I have had the psionic proclivity of future sight. Other trolls can see the ghosts of the past, surrounding what used to be Old Hemisect and sensing trouble from the very foundation of our sordid history. I have never been able to tap into this ability, only seeing disorienting illusions of moments briefly to come and feeling entrenched in sudden emotional distress should something go wrong. But if there has ever been time for an awakening, this is it.” She closed her eyes once again as though fearful of what would emerge. “Since the space ship crash, my visions have become consistent in nature. Recently, I’ve been seeing nothing but fire and metal from above, odd patterns like some kind of strange frequency that only I can pick up. I had a moment of clarity in which I could see this –“ She procured a piece of paper from her robe and put it onto the table. It was a rendering of a space ladder, with elegant structures lacing up and down. “And weeks later my vision was built right before my eyes. This looks to be the progress of the Civisect Space Ladder. I foresaw the design, and there it was. Then, just a few moons ago I saw it as no more than twisted metal and ashes in my mind’s eye. I’ve seen the same for Chittentown's as well.” Her expression was sullen. Panili bit her lip. “Wherever this threat is coming from, it’s very real. I know it’s hard to believe hearsay from a young orangeblood, but I do have some additional authority on the matter. Please come in now.”

She gestured to her nutritionblock. Four adult trolls emerged. The lost space crew. All were dressed in civilian clothes, looking tired but otherwise unscathed. The leader, a war-torn older orangeblood, spoke up immediately. Behind her was the short and sturdy tealblood, the handsome bespectacled redblood and the inimitable greenblooded woman wearing daring plum and gold.

“Damn. Good work, Miss Synemn, you apparently have more influence than you thought.” The sour-looking veteran put a hand on her own hip and appraised the audience. “My name is Captain Rouxez Piccal. I have here with me first mate Malory Jovian, our master gunner Loulah Brahck, and navigator Shenso Mellek. Since landing on Alternia, we have struggled to acclimate to the new order. We're officially retired from the military, compliments of the Queen herself. We weren't gonna get involved, but... Eh. Brahck, take it from here.” The impatient captain passed on the torch to her unsuspecting companion, who took the stage easily with her robotic prosthetics.

“Yes, sir. So, knowing our track record in the military, we believe that there may be a number of causes for a potential threat or sabotage to this Space Race mission. We should consider off-planet threats, including hostile forces that may have trailed us on our last voyage, as well as local ones. Foul play has always run amok on Alternia, especially considering the circumstances of Tig – our… Helmsman’s fate. We don’t intend to meddle here with you youngsters trying to play Upheaval and Empress and Drones and Robbers or whatever you kids do these days, but we’re sticking with this whiz kid. The sooner we can get back into space, the better. Got that?”

The large greenblood cut in, the second-in-command. “What darling Loulah means is that we’re with you, as you are with Miss Panili here. Now, we don’t have any physical evidence just yet of what could be amiss. It seems to be some kind of explosion or bomb, based on what our seer has explained, or perhaps an airstrike or imminent mutiny. Whatever the case may be, it requires immediate investigation! Do you all understand?”

Piccal nodded impatiently, but softened somewhat as a small white figure scrambled between her legs. A small avian creature with a simple, almost cartoony beak that appeared to be some sort of arctic hopping wingbeast. She scooped it up and deposited it on her shoulder. Her lusus. “We’ll be nearby to feed you whatever information and new insights Panili has while you do some digging at both Chittentown and Civisect's space elevators. Report to us immediately if you find anything – anything at all that seems out of place or suspicious. Hope that’s crystal, soldiers.” She scratched under the creature’s chin.

Finally, Panili started breathing again. So much relief to have… A crew behind her. She tugged at her scarf and looked out over the crowd. At least if there was a distinct lack of support, or a mob or something, she had some very strong and very dangerous military trolls to back her up. She looked over her friends. Hopeful.

Predictably as it had been of late, Chiara eventually came her way. Mera took it politely, with a halted smile at being hugged. Unexpected. Perhaps not warranted? She wasn't sure. But Mera didn't halt until Chiara whispered to her. That's when Hemera gave the blueblood a steely look. Did she honestly dare to insinuate that she- the company she kept- the nerve!

But not something to address in such a public space. Any self-confidence in her flared anger only dulled when Eridia arrived. Two personalities that didn't seem to mix with the rest. Why were they here? Something was off. Very off. But the tealblood only took her place at the table, and watched in silence as Panili started her speech.

The space race, yes, with the many fliers of vastly different quantities. Hemera leaned on her elbows, listening. She blinked in horror at Panili's words. Outright devastation on the efforts to return to space? Rebels, she thought immediately. If anyone was to attack, it would be them. With such a public event, more press for their terrorism.

Hemera barely had any time to be lost in thought, as some unexpected guests came in. She sat back in astonishment. The space ship crew! The living ones, at least. All alive and well. Her gaze lingered on Jovian before fluttering to each of the other speakers. They were adults, veterans of a bygone era. Worth trusting, as far as Hemera was concerned.

"This is a horrible situation," she started, finally speaking up. "Panili, thank you for trusting us with this. I can't imagine the pain you have to go through seeing these events unfold. I will do whatever I can to avoid the future as you currently see it."

She turned to the team and swallowed. Mera wasn't sure it was her place to say anything, but she had to follow her pumpbiscuit. "And thank you so much for all that you've done for Alternia, and what you are now doing. The entire empire will benefit from it. You will see the stars again if we all work together, I'm sure."

The tealblood was only mildly starstruck. But onto business. She looked around the room. "But is there a plan to delegate who goes to which team? You would think we would need a good amount on each side to be as effective as possible. I know the Civisect flier is appealing based on benefits and comfort. We would need some organization before stacking one base with too many trolls and leaving the other without."

Chiara drank up Hemera's carefully checked anger with a sinister smile. It was almost a shame they were in public, Hemera probably had lots of rage beneath that cold exterior. Someday, Chiara promised herself, someday she would tap that well, and let Hemera's bottled emotions wash her away.

Then Eridia walked through the door. Chiara mentally flinched, Eridia was incapable of stealth. Chiara could tell the purple blood was trying, but Eridia was just too, big! It felt like her presence filled the entire hive, and Chiara had to pry her eyes away from her best friend. Then the cute little orangeblood girl started to talk. Chiara listened intently as she talked, and her eyebrows rose when the lost members of the space shuttle came in. This little orangeblood was pretty importand, huh? It was something to file away for later for sure. Chiara nodded her head in agreement when the little troll asked for the room's assistance. Sure, she would help out, even if this space ladder falling would be an entertaining event. There was information to be gained here, and information was power.

The silence depressed her. It wasn't because of the silence of silence but her own silence. What did they expect, that everyone would appraise them and join their crazy scheme? This whole thing was crazy, not because of the psionic orangeblood's vision but the fact they were asking them to investigate. What was she supposed to do, clap? Cheer? Risk her life to find some bomb that may not even be there? What if there wasn't a bomb in the first place? They didn't even have the physical evidence for gog's sake.

Eridia looked at Hemera with a deep scowl. Typical, she was practically taking some kind of leadership roll and bragging, at her own interpretations, about it. Someone had to say something reasonable and unfortunately that someone was her. It was bad enough the hive itself was up to it's max capacity, but having those trolls there... being "asked" to be part of this. She honestly thought'd they were dead by now, maybe because Tigwyn did stupidly perished, but whatever. They should've died by now. Eridia couldn't forced her self to be silent, even if she should. She knew well that the last time she spoke up to the master gunner, the navigator and the now deceased helmsman, things went south. She was lucky she just received a threat back then, she was a kid. But now...

"Woah..." Eridia muttered. Who knew what'd happen now, not that she cared, she was just... Innocently curious. “I don't mean to be rude but—" She began, in a tone that threatened rudeness in every syllable. Of course, it took a small amount of time to get everyone's attention.

"Is it just me or do you all seem horribly touched in the upper-works?" She said in a discourteous tone and straightened up. "What kind of ill-mannered joke is this? You want us to risk our necks out there trying to find some kind of bomb or terrorist that wants to ruin a space elevator competition?" The highblood couldn't help but bitterly chuckle. "Everything I've heard so far tells me that we are all about to make a wrong decision. I'd say, a I act as the voice of reason, it's probably one of the teams sabotaging each other so they'd win fair and square, don't need to make this so scandalous darling! And you..."

She pursed her lips and looked at Hemera. "Aren't you a little bit unqualified to even make or suggest decisions?"

"I warn you beforehand, don't dare to ask why I'm here Hemera. Or anyone... actually." Really, don't ask. She was here for twisted fun... and tea, not to act like the space crew's lapdog. "Back to the discussion at hand, in a hypothetical case: what would happen if they, whoever or whatever is trying to pull that scheme off, catches one of us redhanded, hm?" Eridia had both hands on her hips now. "Are you sure you want to leave some of these kids orphaned?"

"I am not putting myself out there, without concrete proof or a valid reason. I honestly don't care if the whole thing blows up, it doesn't matter to me as is has nothing to do with me. EVEN more if it involves those two." She pointed at Loulah and Shenso rather accusingly. The highblood would've been more positive and active in this if they just weren't there. "Again, not to be rude, if I was retired, I'd stay retired."

Eridia gulped hard and clenched her fists, digging her nails on her palms. She didn't care if they culled her. She didn't care if gogdamned Tigwyn's ghost watched her as she spoke. She didn't care! The lavenderblood now looked at Panini, with a presumptuous smirk. "Even if believe every single word you've uttered... why should I or anyone care? Let me take a guess," She laughed. "are you going to say that we also going to blow up or something if we don't do anything about it?"

"A voice of reason is an interesting way to put it. Unfortunately, I admit I have some qualms with your reasoning." Mera responded after a quiet moment. "Working on a space ladder is risky in and of itself. In fact, doing anything is risky, if you think about it. I believe you were there for the raid on the rebels. That ball as well, remember? Alternia is not the place to assume that things will go the way they should for the innocent bystander. There will be accidents. People will get hurt. Especially in this case. That's hard labor for you. My question is, what's the harm of keeping an eye out? What's wrong with trying to keep the casualty count as low as possible? If we could avoid sacrificing any child's lusus, then we need to step up ourselves. I understand your concern, and it's kind of you to think of that.

But, I must ask, what about the children who will be there who might lose their lusii if we do nothing? Are you willing to live with that? I, for one, am not." she took a pause. Then shrugged. "After all, if there isn't anything there, no harm no foul. I feel like extra vigilance is a small price to pay."

She sat up straighter, clearly not about to take any comments about her character. "I am no less qualified than you are, dear. I understand why you may feel you need more proof. But, in regards to your comment about why anyone should care: there are trolls who could be in danger. If that alone isn't enough to cause some concern, think about this. Perhaps it might not be yourself, but someone you care about. If not at the space ladders, debris could add to the outside casualty count, don't you think? Explosions are good at that." It's not all about you, believe it or not. "But if you are not concerned for anyone's well-being but your own, then I suppose that's your priority."

Sephos Arbola

... And it only got worse.

Sephos was really not used to having to pay attention to this many people, without any recourse or escape. When Panili spoke to them, he was... fine. He had to look down a bit at the thank you, overcome with good feelings. Of course, she was speaking to the tall greenblood that had walked in, and the others that had brought food, but so had he - and flowers too - so he took it. He wasn't used to thank you's either.

All the same, he looked right back at her when she got into her reasons for bringing them here. Some of it went right over his gently curving horns - What use, after all, had he for space? - but the mention of the spaceship crash hit very close to home, literally. He remembered that all too well - the forest and the lake land was still healing from the flames and the pollution it had brought, and he and Maku had been a part of that. That was what treebeasts did. That was their purpose - to tend the ecosystem and help it thrive.

He had no reason not to believe Panili's story about her future sight. His world did not contain lies. If she said she saw things and then they happened, then why not? He didn't get it at all, but that didn't mean that it wasn't a thing. So, if she said that something terrible would happen with these space things, then something terrible would. And, if it was anything like the spaceship, it would be bad. It would hurt things that he did have use for and that he had worked for.

He was completely and totally ready to do whatever she needed right up until the adults walked out, and then he reached his absolute maximum limit. He glanced over at Rastin and then over to the nearest room that he could get to, someplace other than here where he could sit and think... if only he knew where her garden was! He vaguely listened to the adults, as much as anyone listens to confusing background noise, and he didn't particularly care about what they said. It was basically the same - bad things were about to happen. Panili wanted help to stop them.

Sure. Okay. Fine. He just needed some space to think...

Then the other people started talking, and he caught a few words. And then Eridia started talking, and he caught a lot of words. He shot the purpleblood an overwhelmed, confused look. What was she doing? Couldn't she see that this was important? Why was she questioning everything? Why didn't this make sense to her when she was the one who was supposed to help him make sense of things? He wanted to tell her to shut up, but he couldn't manage more than a grunt as he stood up and walked away from the group towards somewhere he could... think... about this.

There was the disbelief – the result she suspected. Her pusher dropped slightly, but was bolstered by the foundation that Hemera had set. Not all was lost. She allowed the tealblood to speak her piece – or rather, the crew did, standing about and rolling their eyes into the ceiling. Finally, Panili put up a hand.

“Thank you for that, Hemera. Miss, I understand your skepticism! I appreciate you arriving here and hearing me out none the less. None of you are pressured to join. Not only that, but… To put things indelicately… This is not some kind of rebellious mission against either of these facilities. I am simply proposing an investigation – while assisting the effort, if you all would like – to confirm or deny my troubling suspicious. I understand it is difficult to view my perspective, and it seems pretty nutty to me too sometimes. But I was clear from the beginning.” Panili hardened, her voice dark.

“I have foreseen a great danger, so your guess is right. If we stay idle, we let the prophecy come to pass. I won’t waste my time trying to convince you to care, because my visions will fulfill themselves whether you believe or not.”

The younger orangeblood folded her hands into her sleeves and frowned.Captain Piccal put a hand on Panili’s shoulder and snapped her out of her direct eye contact with Eridia. “You won’t risk your fat neck, princess. If you’ve got a problem with my crew, you’ve got a problem with me. Learn some respect or ship off to another planet – oh wait.” Piccal’s half-lidded gaze was deadly. “Jovian, Mellek. take Miss Spades outside for some air.”

She crossed her arms as the enormous greenblood and the silent Shenso made their way to the rabble-rouser.

      ツ Lutrin Weesil

OooOOOOoooooo...

With her mouth in a perfect circle, Lutrin watched as the two adult trolls “escorted” Eridia out of the hive. It had been a delight to see the purpleblood again after such a long time. Or at least that's what she thought before the other girl opened her mouth. Lutrin's lower lip puckered in a frown. Since when had the purpleblood become such an uptight party pooper? Social events like this were supposed to be fun, not... whatever that was.

Lutrin shifted her weight between her feet. The discomfort that pervaded the block in the following silence was palpable. She could taste it even. It tasted of sour milk and old fruit; not a good combination. Time to take action!

Reaching up to adjust the three cupcake tins she balanced on her head, Lutrin waddled over to Panili and the former space crew. Her exceptionally large (and exceptionally wide) trench coat jostled with every step. She offered the tins to Panili. Inside there were what looked like frosted cupcakes.

“Don't worry! I believe you! And I want to save the space ladders too!” Lutrin said, beaming.

“Oh!” she remembered herself. “You don't know me, but I'm Lutrin! I came with Nucleeoakleeo and Amonee and Kolako! It's nice to meet all of you!” She bobbed in greeting to each of them and her trench coat swelled, squeaking. Lutrin's face lit up in shock at the sound. Quickly depositing the tins into Panili's arms, she threw her arms up in embarrassment.

“I almost forgot! I brought these!” Then with great flourish she opened her coat and a tidal wave of balloons, more than seemed possible, floated out. “To space!” A voice cheered from behind the helium wall.

"May I remind you that we are not on equal footing, don't talk to me as if we were equals." She just had to speak up, why was that tealblood so annoyingly antagonistic whenever she spoke out talk2hand ? Eridia gave her a visible eye roll and groaned. She did though push a button once she mentioned the raid and the ball. She did that on purpose, she mentioned that so she'd look even worst. Eridia had her jaw clenched, listening throughly to the things Hemera said. "The problem? Some troll are just not cut out for spying. You need a spine for that. Trust me, it's all in how they carry themselves."

"It's good to see you've recognized my good intentions and understanding my concerns Miss Moachm." She forced a smile, getting a tighter grip on her shawl. "What about the children, you ask me? As long as there are not close to me, or important... why should I stress about it?"

"Believe me, I have been forced to live with many other..." She took a deep breath. "...casualties. I could very well handle that. Strangers will always be strangers. Though this just shows how your are. Weak-- I mean, softhearted. I advice you to be caaaareful, you might find yourself in an uncomfortable position in which you might have to take someone else's bullet." She took another deep breath as she remembered how Tigwyn died. Foolish, he was a fool. If he was any smarter, he should've let her die. She would've done that if the roles were reversed. Eridia wasn't going to lose it, they wouldn't get to her. Thinking and talking about this was very sensitive. So she needed to stay calm.

"Constant..." She was about to say pain, but she couldn't let them know just how broken she was. "...trials have cured me of that, you should get exposed to that some time soon."

The moment she mentioned someone she cared about, Eridia's mind went straight to Gerard. She felt a strong pang on her chest, causing her to press her lips as she tried to contain a wince. The highblood had already searched every corner of Civisect for him and there was no sign of him. He vanished as if he was indeed the troll who's corpse was left in a medical chest. She didn't listened to Hemera afterwards, she was just too concentrated on him. Her usual comebacks weren't coming to her... she couldn't stay silent, Eridia couldn't let her or anyone win against her.

Where's Chiara? Why wasn't she saying anything, why didn't she have her back? Some sort of morail she was. Eridia did know whatever stunt she pulled during bloodfest was nothing but a cruel joke.

"...Th-there's..." She muttered, gathering enough strength to say, "I can assure you that I have no one I care about there... At least not anymore."

It was safe to say Eridia was pleased, making the orangeblooded child frown seemed and felt like a milestone. She was getting better at ruining people's mood, which was equally good and bad. More good that bad. At least she wouldn't be a hypocrite around her, like the other trolls who couldn't really stand her. She scoffed at Panini, ignoring the darkened tone and her words. Maybe in a few sweeps she'd be intimidating, if her kind interior hardened properly. Then Piccal addressed her and again she scoffed.

"Or you could stay retired and avoid dealing with trolls such as myself." She simply added with another fake smile. However it quickly vanished once the Captain ordered them to kick her out. Eridia returned the deadly expression. This was just rude, telling her to get some air. No one could order her around. Before they could get their hands on her, Eridia brought on hand up and set the other on her hip.

"I don't need to be escorted, I don't require your assistance. Though thank you for your consideration Captain, I do need some air! News such as this can cause one to lose their breath, not to mention your crew's presence as well-- oops! Did I say that out loud?" She sourly smirked. "I'll see myself out if you don't mind, though you two are still welcome to make sure I've gone out without any problems."

"I'll be back, I promise." She said, sourly smiling at the trolls inside. "With an approooopriate apology of course. Wouldn't want to ruin this cheerful meeting or leave any resentful feelings right?" Eridia pushed some trolls out of the way and stormed out, slamming the door behind her as she left. Once out she let out a deep sigh, wishing to scream at the top of her lungs. Instead she stood next to the door and resumed listening to the meeting from the outside.

she'll be back?
I hope? Nicer, who knows

Kolako had been eager and excited to be among so many trolls she'd only just met, even with the upcoming Speech Of Doom that Panili was going to deliver. She was excited, and it showed on her face from the eagerness in her eyes-- She loved being apart of things, and especially now, getting the chance to meet so many trolls at this time. Her vision was suddenly thrust into black, and while Koko became alert immediately, the smooth voice that came after made the smile on her face only spread wider. "Eridia!" She'd know that smell anywhere! It'd been so long!

Before she could properly interact with the purpleblood, Panili decided to give her speech. It was fine, they could catch up later-- It was just so nice to see her friend again! Koko stayed attentive to the orangeblood at the center of the room, feeling her smile widen as Panili thanked them all for coming and for all the food they'd brought. She strived to stay focused as she listened-- Apparently Panili had a psionic gift, and that allowed her to see the future... And that future was a grim one. Kolako listened and the crease between her eyebrows only grew from there. Only twisted metal? Ashes? Kolako's bloodpusher fell, duly reminded on the terrible daymare that was the forest after catching fire. It couldn't be real...

But then, four trolls walked in, and introduced themselves. Kolako's eyes widened considerably. Adults?! She'd only ever seen teens and...! Oh goodness, this was so cool! It felt... official, with these trolls coming out. Just their mere presence gave Kolako goosebumps. She listened to their introductions-- They must've come from the spaceship that crashed into Four Fronds and set fire near her home. Kolako felt her palms get sweaty... They definitely didn't seem like they meant it, if they were here, trying to save Alternia... She instead kept listening, hearing the tealblood with the cool prosthetics begin to speak eagerly. A bomb, explosion, airstrike, mutiny? She didn't understand the last one, but she definitely knew enough to get the picture. She nodded along as she listened to them finally finish their speech, seeming pretty much convinced. They needed to help stop whatever it was!!

The tealblood to the side spoke up, and Kolako looked toward her with gleaming eyes. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, and yet, Koko was at a loss of what to do. She didn't understand the situation in full, but definitely supported it! It was a good plan, and even if it didn't turn out to be true, it was still worth a shot. The redblood shrugged at her companion before hearing a very familiar voice speak up. It was Eridia-- And... What? Kolako listened to her friend speak, eyes beginning to widen with each sentence, jaw dropping as she finished her rant. Kolako's hands became damp-- It honestly sounded the furthest thing FROM a joke, she didn't understand why she thought it was one in the first place. Was she just not even trying to understand?

Kolako's mouth pursed into a straight line as she heard how offensive she was being, and honestly, she felt a little thankful the tealblood decided to speak up again, even if Eridia was her friend. She didn't have to speak to all of them like that...! She watched as Panili spoke her reply, and the space crew obviously didn't take too kindly to her reaction, and Eridia was soon escorted out, but not before saying her piece. That was uncalled for, and honestly, Kolako wanted to stay extremely away from it. She felt uncomfortable and awkward. That was her friend after all-- Did she have to take care of her too?

Lutrin was always an amazing breath of fresh air. A small smile spread across the brown blood's face on the reaction of the brownblood, feeling relieved at the effort to break the silence, but her expression looked somewhat pained. She didn't expect her friend to be so rude, so... angry. Was she hurt? Did she need some sort of help? That had to be the explanation, right? She was so nice to hang out with, when she was lost, even if she complained a lot and whined. She just thought all city trolls were like that! But now that she thought of it... Eridia was one of the only ones who acted in such a way. Kolako looked to her hands on her lap, feeling her pump biscuit fall even deeper. Eridia could be nice... Right? Papion wasn't right about purplebloods... She'd been so sure...

“Well…” Panili began, “At least she said she’d apologize?” She shrugged. The wind had been taken out of her sails, clearly. Jovian and Mellek had only made it halfway to the purpleblood before she made her own exit. With a wiping motion of her hands, the large greenblood whooped.

“Well, sweethearts! I think that about settles it. You, Miss… Oh, you’re quite familiar, aren’t you? You were the little lass who offered to assist when our ship was downed. I’d say she’s ripe for delegating. She probably knows this lot better than we would, given their age. What do you think, Captain?”

The salty Piccal waved a hand in front of her face. “Fair assessment. You’re now in charge of delegation to each squad. My group will feed you information from Panili, who will remain remote and protected.”

“B-But!” Panili seemed to start at the news, and Malory engulfed her shoulder with a hand.

“It’s alright, love. We know you’d like to help on the frontlines, but you should really stick back and handle intel. Or whatever you call your… Gift. Thing. Psionics.” She shrugged, and Panili seemed to slacken in defeat.

“Alright. Hemera? You all? Thank you for doing this. I don’t want to leave you in the lurch! I’ll be parked in Chittentown near the crew so you can see me any time!” She placed a lock of hair behind her shoulder and sighed. “Anything I can do to restore order and find a solution for the Alternian race.”

The space crew gave each other looks, and formed up once again behind Panili. The meeting was at least settled now.

everybody!
If you have any questions for Panili or the Space Crew or just want to interact with them, you’re welcome to do so until after the meta has ended! Date TBD.
