Sabra Knight
Eresin felt his cheeks grow hot at the touch of her hand on his face. Her touch was soft, despite everything she's been through. As her hand lingered, He felt more relaxed. He fought the urge to reach up and hold her hand. I.. It was too late. He missed his opportunity as she moved her hand to his shoulder. Damn it, Eresin... He sighed in his head. That probably would have gotten him into trouble anyway.
Speaking of trouble, Eresin felt chilly sitting in the dark cave with his clothes damp from the escapades they went through just to get here. He looked around the area and grabbed the logs he stored in here as firewood. Good thing my parents always taught me to be prepared for anyhting... He stood up slowly, and reached up to move her hand from his shoulder, and yet, as he touched her, he froze. It was dark, and the only light source were the frozen ice chunks, which were starting to melt. His mind raced as he thought of ways to confess his feelings towards her. He blanked out and didn't think about his next move, he just acted.
Eresin clasped his hand into hers, and pulled her close so their bodies were against each other, and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her gently. He placed his head on her shoulder and whispered. "I..." He stood silent for a moment. Why wouldn't the words come out? He had her right there and he couldn't do anything. Any longer and he would go crazy. "L... Love you..."
And at that moment, the whole world seemed to freeze. He finally did it. The only thing he could hope for now is for her to feel the same way. Honestly, as hurt as I would be if she didn't feel the same, I can take comfort knowing I was able to confess.... Regardless, he was in deep.
