As if in response to being spoken of, Mnyiri's antennae twitched, and the movement brought out a little rhythm from her bells. "My eyes? I wouldn't look too long, Nadiya, or they'll eat you up." Her teasing tone was coupled with a slight quirk to her smile. If she didn't know any better she would think that the little Matorian was coming onto her, which wouldn't be a horrible experience.
"Just store? A good chunk of the time I would be living there," Mnyiri laughed. "Of course you would have half, and I wouldn't touch a thing - unless something like a nondwa got in and then I might have to just to get it out. Anyway, you get the point." She waved her hand as if to expel the random thought. "I would preeffffeeerrr somewhere either in Jauhar or close, that way I could visit with my sisters if I needed to. So, where do you think would be a good spot? If we pick an area we can talk about what kind of house it would be."
There were far too many options for Mnyiri to count! They could have an earthling dwelling or an alkidike one. Of course her people lived inside of the trees, but the shifters...they lived with the trees and then, what did the Matori do? How would they ever decided?!
"Oh Goddess, yes, that sounds like a great idea. I'm roasting." Mnyiri jumped to her feet and reached for Nadiya's hand. "Come on, slow poke."

Nadiya flinched, "Welp, I thought those were just a part of the stories...would they really?" She glanced away before flushing, "You're just teasing me and I'm dumb." Protested the girl as she rubbed the back of her neck in shame. There had been a multitude of stories about Alkidikes, but the girl had never really thought much about them while with Mnyiri before. Was it because her friend was so different in her mind?
Not so much an intimidating warrior, but rather just a warm spirit seeking knowledge? Similar to how she was looking for stories and music to share with others. Nadiya blinked as their idea of a shared place continued, "So basically I would be the random one to come and stay." She replied with a smile, "Depending on what I'm storing I suppose I could share even some of that space with you - especially if a nondwa came in. I mean I don't have a real home anymore even if I wanted to visit Matori that would be fine. Jahaur would be fine with me. Oba is a bit too stiffy and Tale and Sauti are a bit aways...Zena is definitely not in the picture for me as well. Jahaur definitely then." She finished with a firm nod, "We could have a place in the roots of a tree even...that would be nice, I think."
"We can finish talking in the water then~" Gripping onto Myniri's hand the girl found herself following towards the stream where she quickly stripped to the bare minimum of her underclothing and slipped right in. "This...this is nice." She murmured as she closed her eyes and began to float along.

"Maybe I'm teasing, maybe I'm not, but you're far from dumb, Nadiya." It hadn't been her intention to shame the smaller woman, but it seems that she had, never the less. So she try to keep her tone light, with enough sincerity to give it depth. "We'll make plans to go looking for a place as soon as we're cooled off. I don't think I could even begin to plan something like that out with all this sweat." Honestly, it felt as if her markings were slipping off her forehead and falling into her eyes. It was a very uncomfortable feeling, especially once the image had implanted itself into her brain.
Clothing be damned, Mnyiri stripped to the buff as soon as she was close to the water. The only items that remained against her skin were her piercings and the bells intertwined within her dreads. Mvua gave her an odd look from his place in the river, then passed that same calculating gaze to the floating Matori. She paid him little mind, however; he could be judgmental on his own time. It was too hot to worry about what a radaku thought!
Mnyiri slipped into the river as much as she could before dropping down underneath the surface. She had to really ball her legs up to get it just right, but eventually she was just a head floating above the water.

"Thank you." Nadiya couldn't help flushing at the compliment before nodding her agreement, "I'm melting here. Even in Matori at least I had the ocean to help cool things off. This sun out here...is just too strong for me." She was so thankful to feel the water against her bare skin.
Of course seeing Mnyiri jumping in caused Nadiya to almost go under. Welp! Apparently the alkidike didn't care to go completely in. Shaking her head Nadiya opted to keep on her small clothing though she couldn't help glancing over on occasion. So that's what it is like to look like that. She smiled faintly before glancing away again. If she thought about Mnyiri as one of her many siblings this would be fine...just fine.
It was too hot to be bothered by such things after all.
That decided Nadiya laughed as she swam past the Alkidike and splashed some water, "To help you keep cool~!" She offered teasingly before diving out of the way and further into the stream.

Oddly enough Mnyiri got a very vivid image of a fish with a scarf just like Nadiya's flopping on the ground in the sun. It was something she dared not speak about.
Instead, she focused on wiping the water away from her eyes, and keeping her dreads from swamping her face. The true draw back to such a hair style was the weight they bore once wet; it was almost like moving an infant away from her cheeks.
Unabashed by her nudity, and thinking little of whether or not it may have an effect on her friend, Mnyiri laughed and openly splashed Nadiya in return. Her attack was in vain; the little scamp was already getting away! "Come back here!"
Well, this certainly had nothing to do with ears, but every good scholar needed a play break, right?
Yeah, definitely.
