Yelena sighed and pushed back all those memories as she touched the feather necklace around her neck then touched her arm band. Her father had made that arm band for her and she loved it. Her family were artisans and thought what she did was crazy but they loved her and supported her in her dream, which was nice. She looked at Rain again and smiled.

Her eyes widened when she heard that and her mouth fell open a little bit. "Really?" An Alk who mated with a fish person and stayed? Did that mean that there were some who could love hybrid children? She didn't believe it and would have to go see this to believe it. "Thank you for telling me about this. I'll have to look into it." She grinned. "Don't worry I'm sure I can figure it out. Hybrid Alks are pretty distinct and I'm sure I'll hear more rumors." She smiled kind of hopeful. She hadn't had hope in a long time. Aril pawed at Rain to try to get more attention.

Yelena laughed as Aril demanded more attention. She rolled her eyes at her little friend. "You do realize that she's not your personal petter. You are so spoiled." Aril preened under all the attention and made even more happy sounds. Aril closed her eyes enjoying all the attention and petting. "Rain if she does become too much of a handful let me know. She seems to really like you though. That's a pretty good sign. Last person she met she kept heading butting them. She didn't like the last person we met." She smiled as she watched.

She looked back and nodded her head. "No her kids shouldn't be. I'd be really excited to meet a mom who actually loves her hybrid kids. I'm not sure if something so amazing can be true but I suppose I'll find out one way or another." She smiled hopefully and laughed as Rain kissed Aril's rose. Aril beamed and licked her face really happy. She loved attention. Yelena just smiled as she watched.

Yelena grinned and laughed when she watched the face licking and the reaction. She laughed more. "Yeah Aril we all know you are adorable." Aril bleated happily and bounced around. She nuzzled the hand but frowned when the lady stood up. Yelena watched her and nodded her head.

"Yeah very nice." Her eyes widened even more in shock when Rain told her where she was, who she lived with, and that she could visit. "I promise I will come visit if you would like that. I'd really like to visit and I'll tell you all about meeting someone like that. And who knows maybe I'll have another attention loving little friend to compete for your petting." She grinned and nodded her head. "Thank you. I look forward to seeing you again."

She frowned at Aril as she tried to stay close to the other lady. "No sweetie we need to let Rain get home. We will see her another time don't worry but right now she wants to go so we have to let her." She waved back and walked close. "I'm sorry for getting so close. I have to grab Aril or she will follow you home." She moved very slowly so as not to freak out Rain and scooped up Aril then backed away from her just as slowly. "Safe trip home. I look forward to meeting you again." She smiled more. "maybe next time we meet I'll be able to shake your hand in greeting if you like or just let Aril try to get more attention if that's more comfortable for you at the time." Aril whined and squirmed but Yelena held her close being careful not to crush her.

She beamed when she saw the wide grin. She was really happy she had been able to make Rain happy. She frowned when she saw the worried expression. Was there something wrong? She stared in shock and frowned for a moment the smiled. "Well then it is my pleasure to meet you Rajani. I'm touched that you trust me enough now to tell me your true name. And I'm happy you know I'm not after you anymore." She grinned and nodded her head slightly to show she wasn't upset or hurt. She could understand the reason for the secrecy. She might have done the same thing in the lady's position. She smiled and watched Aril.

She tried to get it over quickly without freaking out Rajani too much. "I'm so sorry." She felt terrible that she had to do this to her. She relaxed when Rajani did and smiled as she saw her let out her breath. She relaxed and cuddled Aril close. "Okay." She held Aril close and pet her to try to calm her down. She smiled at her and hugged the little wriggling roati closer.

Yelena grinned and waved to her. "I will. I will make sure of it." She waved to her more and watched until Rajani was out of sight then turned. "Alright Aril lets see if we can find you any other friends around here and see if I can actually do this beast charming thing." She turned to head off into the woods.
