"Because it's something I'd like to see." And it lit a spark in Asher's eyes while he toyed with the idea, elbows settled back onto the counter and fingers strumming idly in space. He was thinking, so much it was nearly visible: his imagination churning out something amusing in a distracted sort of way.

"I'm trying to peg you. I can't tell if you're a teacher or a cop or someone's secretary. You're too closed down." A gesture to his face made it clear what he meant by that. "Gotta open you up some."

Asher laughed, all at once, like he couldn't help himself -- so maybe that faint edge of innuendo had been intentional, after all, and the look on Mal's face was simply priceless. He ducked out past the man, turning around to walk backwards out of the mailroom, not quite to the point of tears --

"So I take it you don't want to come back to my room and smoke up, then?" He wiggled his eyebrows, meaningfully, shamelessly. "Or maybe another time?"
