As there was almost always an open bottle with Ash and Nando involved (and usually meant Algie and Jeremiah would bail shortly). "Beyond sending you wildly inappropriate messages while you're in meetings?" His eyes glinted. Don't doubt that he would be doing it. "No. Just enjoy the quiet and read."

old haunting groundsJeremiah took the piece of paper very, very calmly. Reading over the article and letting out a breath. Right. Well. The detective did actually glance over towards the old man and met his hard stare. Very pointedly took a drink of his pint as well, after setting the article down. Definitely got a 'I'm watching you two' gesture in return. "D'you think we can keep the article?" he asked idly, smiling at Algie. Probably a bad thing but Jeremiah never backed down. "If only because no one would believe otherwise that we were responsible for closing a pub for a week for repairs." The repair costs had been rather high. The ban had been worse. Jeremiah had liked this pub a lot.

all the proper things"Yes well," He snorted at the text comment, "Thank you in advance for that." Sitting and reading was almost unheard of when they both worked and the city was going crazy. It would be a nice break. "Are you just going to suprise your mum?"

old haunting ground"He shouldn't have sent it over if he didn't want it back," Alg grunted and straightened himself a bit since they were very clearly caught in the act. "Man's got a mind like a steel trap." Which meant Alg glanced over pleasantly, over his moment of childish hiding, and waved a hand. Yes- death stare in return. "Besides you and I didn't go through that window..." But may have been directly responsible for who or what did.

all the proper things"No thanks necessary." Especially considering some part of him was hoping he'd trigger some redface Algie in the process. Terrible. "That is the plan." Jeremiah leaned back in his chair, foot tapping Algie's lightly. "Not that I expect she doesn't somehow know that I'm here. She was always worse than father about knowing exactly where I was despite all attempts at making her unaware of my whereabouts." Really. It had always been Meredith to be the one that showed up when he had pulled some of the worst stunts.

old hunting groundsJeremiah very casually set his drink down, folded the article up and slipped it into his pocket. Another smile, and inclination of his head in thanks towards the bar owner. Still getting that stare. "Mm, no. I think the problem here is that something went through the window." Pause. "More than once." He took another drink of his pint. "You think the bar still has those scorch marks?" iloveyouDIE when u realize u named it old haunting grounds a post or so back *fixes*

They would always be found. He sat back, tea now finished. "A walk?" Or wherever it took them since there were no plans until tomorrow.

old hunting grounds"I'm sorely tempted," he admitted with a grin. Jeremiah was clearly in a mood mostly inspired by the looks he was given by the old bar owner. Part of the reason they had liked this place younger was because most of the patrons favored the team they did. "... but I should probably behave." His eyebrows rose in amusement. Mostly thinking about the fact that Algie was a known and popular author here. Probably should not make news about getting in into trouble.

all the proper things"Is that what it was called? I was certain mother made a deal with MI6." There was a roll of eyes but he was clearly amused. His own tea cup was empty, their tab already paid. Jeremiah held a hand out for Algie as he stood, surprisingly not having to roll his shoulders. "A more scenic route back to the hotel?" For their walk.

faded chillHe had meant to talk about it, to bring it up when Algie came back from his stuffy meetings, but he had held true his promises wildly inappropriate texts. Which lead to shenanigans. Mostly clothed again (just trousers) after a shower, Jeremiah was stretched out across the ridiculously large hotel bed. He ended up rolling onto his stomach, chin resting on an upturned palm when he settled and watched Algie finish drying his hair. Fingers itched to run through it, so he crooked a finger to make him come closer. No words yet, just a pleased smile.

The food came next, only in moments, and the greying man finally sat back straight and pulled his napkin into his lap as he prepared to eat. After a moment he fished into his jacket, still chewing with satisfaction on some fish, and very surreptitiously wrote out a check. He then flagged down the waitress and murmured to her. Jer was given a look, a 'don't stop me this is a test', look.

faded chillAlg wasn't quite to the clothes stage yet. He had a towel around his waist while another was roughly rubbed over his head. When he peered out from the fluffy depths he saw Jeremiah's beckoning and smiled himself, because he couldn't help it when the other had that look on his face. The towel dropped to his shoulders as he sunk to the bed, a warm hand (but not as warm as it could have been) ran along Jeremiah's bare back.
