I might be buying a new phone just to play....
I'm going to attemtp to download it right now and see what I can do. But it's going to be strictly wifi areas. XD And that's if it'll load. It seems to crash. And my actual phone isn't compatible.

My old phone is, but my actual phone isn't. So I'm just using wifi on my old one to see how it goes. But I don't think it's going to work.

Like a few others, my tablet and phones are not compatible with Pokemon Go. I want to try it at least, as it looks sort of interesting. I'll just have to wait and see if they can fix all the current issues they have going on with it. x-x;
It's probably going to be quite a bit before everything is worked out. It's a decent concept though. It has a lot of positives, but it also has a lot of cons. Good luck!

Your not alone. I don't have it... and truth be told, the whole "driving around to catch or battle" is very very stupid.. It gives people a reason to drive while messing with their phones.. Even though pokemon go says to just pull over.. Whoever made the game, wasn't really thinking.. about cell phones and driving..
Catching and driving isn't the only issue. People who walk also don't pay attention to where they go, accidentally nearly get hit by cars as well as trespassing restricted property. Yesterday, I was nervous about entering a fenced up (except one side has the fence torn down) empty space because a Goldeen (which I was having trouble figuring out its silhouette until caught) was in there. Yes, I know Pokemon can appear in the radar so you don't have to enter but that property is huge and the Pokemon is in the middle of it instead of being on edge. DX
Still, my main point is that the gaming company DID put warning when the game is loading up to tell people to be aware of their surroundings. Problem is that people assume the game was talking about be on the lookout for Pokemon when it was telling you to be safe and be careful if here you're going. >.<

As an fyi to those driving, the game can tell the speed you are going and it does not make your eggs hatch faster; it calculates your distance on your walks; and not on drives. ( i think it does a small % while on a drive)
and anyone who does not use common sense while playing this game >.> well .... <.< weeding out the weak? ._.
For reals, look both ways.... and follow basic laws. Wow people <.< ok so maybe i kinda broke into a graveyard to get a gym >.> but dangit there were no signs saying private!

Either gaming company need to make the radar bigger or try to get Pokemon to appear at the edge of the streets instead of being in the big, open areas. Seriously, if they found ways to help those not to enter buildings, why can't they do the same for open areas? We don't want to trespass because of a Pokemon, Pokepass, or Gym. DX

Similar problem, but mine is 4.4.3. Can't believe how pissed I was when I was trying to apply for the beta to find that out. Got my tablet thinking it'd be perfect, since I've been playing Ingress for the past few months on it, but no... Pokemon Go just has to be different. lol
What's worse is my fiance can download the game, and open it, but then you get just past the loading screen and it crashes.

Nope! You're not the only one :3 I don't have all the mobile data to go wasting and am not really interesting in having servers crash so much on me because of an early release app lol
I can't get it due to having no data plan. Not to mention it's my dad's smartphone and he hates the living crap out of it. He keeps claiming that he should have never gotten it and as soon as the "trial" period is over, he's going to get rid of it. xp

The developers had it all planned out quite well. The game was developed with making people take walks, slows their paces down and finally see the scenery / beauty of the place their travelling to in mind. It's the people who's playing it wrong that's not thinking properly. I mean, just look at the accidents that had already happened. I think catching pokemon while driving is like drink driving, a person have to practice responsibility doing these things. Hasn't it been stated in the driving lessons that you cannot use your cell while driving or something?

I think that will take some time to resolve? Already they are having issues with the numbers of people crashing their servers...
