My, my wasn't he wonderful? an almost twisted smile crept upon her face as she gazed across the room watching the rest swept up by his eloquent words. Very few were not and those who were not seemed very uneasy and almost disturbed. It was quite amusing to say the least for her anyway. their unease made her giddy almost His words stirred even she, a part of her anyway, though she remained silent not joining her voice with the rest just observing with cold silent eerie eyes. Not that she didn't want to join in. The weaver had forsaken her long ago and now her tribe was at risk. She didn't need a silent god.

So she sought one who could be as such. She cared little if they were newly woven or woven long ago. The magus before held no such sway over her she had seen little of him even among his own people. So she waited and observed Shen and the rest of the crowd. What would he do next? She was quite anxious to see. This was truly this gathering would be fun.

The responses were mixed. For those who were filled with the flames of ambition, their agreement spilled out in the form of verbal confirmation, denouncing weakness in place of strength. There were others still who remained silent but thoughtful, more that seemed uncertain and uneasy, and one or two that seemed... unhappy or unsettled. The division was to be expected. As the tribe had unfortunately learned with the example their Magi had given them, everyone had their own mind and their own perception and not everyone was given into the opinion that would best serve the majority. No nation could survive shattered and fractured- any standing structure needed a solid foundation. Unfortunately before such a foundation could be laid, the rubble and debris had to be cleared away. Neglecting to do so would lay an uneven ground that would bring the rest of the structure tumbling over.

"I can see already that there are some among us who are hesitant to put the past in the pyre where it belongs. Some are content to walk looking over their shoulders, unable to see what's ahead." He sneered. "That is your choice. However, there is no room for factions here. A foundation is carved from a single stone- not a paw full of pebbles. If you are unwilling to sacrifice the past for the future- you may take your leave."

Shen raised a paw and held a single claw up in the air, begging attention as he lowered his tone to a low growl. "However... know that there are only two options here- Remain and take an oath to this tribe and its future, or leave and never cast your cowardice over us. There is no middle ground. Any who attempt to challenge me to have it both ways stands in the way of what must be done... and in doing so you put yourself between your brothers and sisters and the future that they deserve-"

He threw his paw down, striking the dais under him as he practically roared, "A future of prosperity. A future of dignity. A future where all the realm will see the flames rise without the assistance of divinity or destiny. A future where we- the B'alam with flame in their blood and iron in their claws -take our own fate from the paws of superstition and uncertainty and forge a perfect, unified tribe. Let the others see us rise. Let our flames light the way."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Join...or leave?
Asher's ears rolled back as uncertainty filled his gaze. Just who did this B'alam think he was? Who or what other than his own arrogance and strength gave him the authority to make such statements. Those around him could easily dominate him as one united force. One B'alam against so many... but perhaps that was what he was doing. He wasn't speaking as one B'alam, he was speaking as and for a collective, drawing those who were nodding and shouting their agreements into a single unit. They wouldn't feel like one B'alam lost in a crowd- they would feel...like they were part of him.

Large. Loud. Imposing. Confident...

Somehow, his insides turned to jelly. Ashur tore his gaze away from the tah on the dais and slowly roamed to those beside and behind him. Some had the same fire in their eyes while others were rolling over their own opinions. Few, like himself, looked hesitant. Was he the only one shaking...?

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Part of a whole certainly was how she felt. The words struck the iron in her blood and sent ripples of relief and strength through her. They weren't bound to any one idea- they weren't under anyone's influence. Why couldn't they choose how they lived? Why couldn't they choose their own leaders? Why couldn't they write their own laws and cast off the "holy mandate" the other tribes lived by?

Yes- she wanted that freedom. They'd show the entire realm what the fire tribe was able to do. No more fear or confusion, no more division, no more weakness...

She rose her own voice, throwing out a roar to echo Shen's.

Xavier

A shiver went through Xavier's body at the words and action from this male. It wasn't a shiver of fear or hesitation but a shiver of anger. This male had done nothing but insult him and those who were woven and even born from the first generations of Fire B'alam of what they have so far been able to create. "Such foolishness to say. A single mountain cannot maintain itself without the pebbles at the base for to take away a single one would mean a rock slide that not even the strongest boulder may keep up" He spoke up with his deep voice amongst the throng of roars.

This Tah would never raise his roars for this male nor would he join it just as he made that decision for his family in this moment, of which they would agree he was sure. I have yet to hear how you intend to do everything as you say, everything that has not already been done and established. We've yet to hear or even see your accomplishments of what makes you so qualified to lead a nation. You are but a cub in woven standards who wishes to play Magus without ever lifting a paw to show for it or for all of our kin to do the work for you." Xavier snapped harshly with cold fire in his lavender eyes. He didn't care who didn't agree with him or not but by the grace of the Grand Weaver he was going to exercise his freedom of speech because no ruler would silence their kin to speak their mind and express themselves.

Cinead

Well this was becoming very interesting and it was clear that the majority were in favor of Shen. Just as some were still thinking about it or even one voice spoke up to say his opinion. Cinead didn't have one yet. It may sound bad but he wanted to keep watching. Instinct told him to keep his eyes on everyone who fell under the spell of Shen. He waited as he sat down on what would happen next. Cinesd just had to keep silent and unassuming.....

Yahui hadn't said much of anything since the Tah began talking. Everything he said rang something deep inside her. She felt her chest rise with some small internal pride. They were a strong race. The fire within was rising and boiling her blood! Yes! This Tah spoke to her very soul! And she couldn't help but agree with everything that he said.

However, there were others in the room that dared to deny him. They either left or visually protested his words. Did they not see him putting himself in such a burdened position?! That alone took strength and guts that none of them had displayed before!

And now one of these nay-Sayers was beginning to challenge him?

"I think him standing here and announcing this speaks volumes enough. Who else has stepped up to the throne with the intent to lead? As a Magus or not, who else here has enough courage and strength to step up to such a role and place such a burden on their shoulders?" she half growled, red eyes flashing to Xavier. "To see such a great Tah stand before all of you," her eyes shifted over the crowd as she spoke before returning to Xavier's form. "To see him rally you all together to stand up as one in a society that is currently broken and smoldering with no direction. That alone is more than over half of us were ever given since the day we were woven."

She huffed slightly, trying not to get too overexcited in the moment while her tail flicked in irritation.

“We have been with no leader for too long.” Arcelia turned her head around to address those who seemed uncertain. “Those who ruled before did not speak with us directly. We have never had a proper leader, a proper guide for our society.” She paused to look at Mazin. Her boy. One of her several children she cherished. Children she feared would never understand the weight of her teachings, why it was so important to be brave and honest and bold.

“Good, bad, cruel, necessary. Should we not allow our kin to show us which they will bring? Should we not at least attempt to pave the way to a better future?” She gave a slight snarl on her lips. “Or is it simply more ideal if we fade into nothingness? Let the fire of our kind die. Let us become nothing more than myths and bedtime stories?”

It was only visible for a second on his features. His supportive grin had turned to a frown but shortly after Mazin smirk returned to his face.

This seemed off. Er, the division that is. Us or them, strong or weak. Mama always told his siblings and him things were never easy to divide up like b’alam tried to do. Where there is strength you will also find weakness. In every act of selfless bravery fear was not hard to find. The fact that his mother was choosing to side with this guy was almost contradicting of what she had told them. It was starting to confuse him. Though he tried to go along with what his mother was saying. To… Watch the big b’alam lead them? See if it everything went as she hoped it would? He wasn’t sure that was the best decision either, though he wouldn’t dare voice against such. Not here with all stranger b’alam watching. It would be better to speak his concerns when they were alone and mother could properly explain what she was trying to convey.

Xavier

Xavier slowly turned his head to look at the female with the luxurious mane and ember eyes as bright as the flames with elegant jewelry adorned on her form. He stood up to look at her with his lavender eyes turning to cold amethyst at her retort. "Anyone could have stepped up to lead and tried to guide this tribe until they could no longer do so for the next brave soul, Nan or Tah, to carry on the mantle yet no one has done so up to this point. However, as we all know only a Magus may truly lead because their soul has been fully awakened with wisdom, knowledge and the power that we ourselves are not capable to sustain in our bodies." He snapped, his lips curling slightly.

"Anyone of us, even you, could have stepped up to call attention to the kin to listen instead of waiting for someone else to take the position. If you truly had the call inside you then it is your loss now to have made a difference for this tribe. Yet do not presume to believe that what everyone here has done since the beginning of this tribe has been for naught and go to waste. It has taken the instinct and calling in our souls from the Grand Weaver to create metal work or create fireworks or what have you. To discover what we are capable of us that will contribute to our tribe but to the rest of the world.

It has taken the instinct for the rest of us to find the other half of our souls to bring life into this tribe as we would be nothing without the numbers and legacy of our offspring and what their callings from the Grand Weaver will bring to this tribe. If there was no direction then why do we continue to thrive leaderless? I say, we have thrived because we have learned to maintain the law and order of respect and the foundations."
Xavier stared at the female, mentally counting slowly to not bare his fangs at her. Xavier was a jerk and a lot of other choice words but whether him and Yahui never saw eye to eye he would still show her great respect otherwise he would shame the very foundations of this tribe. Most importantly Najila would give him her wrath and he has learned a thing or two about that wrath.

"Do not think yourself above us for you are here like the rest of us to see what this Tah has to say and to stand before and above you as well. For anyone to think they are above one another whether or not they agree is ludicrous especially to turn away those who do not agree. That will only further to divide this tribe and lose what has been achieved so far." Xavier stood his ground with a deep growl coming from his throat.

She listened intently to what this Tah was saying, ears falling back slightly with her unease. Was this right? Could they actually do what he spoke of? There was some desire in what the Tah said. When had a majority of them ever had the magus speak with them? Or do more then reside over them from this very chamber?

So many questions were cropping up in the small Nan's mind. She felt confused. Uncertain. And...frightened. It didn't feel right. As desirable as the picture he painted sounded. True, no leader had stepped up yet. But perhaps the Weaver did not see it to be the right time?

Fini glanced to her sister, and met a few eyes of those that held a similar look to her own.

"Arlii... what should we do?"

Join him or leave? No, she felt there was more weight to those words. If they wanted to survive, the only option was to follow this... Tah. This...usurper. That was what he was. An arrogant Tah that thought he better then the Weaver himself?

Arlii felt her lips pull back in a silent snarl, but she maintained herself. There was fear that coursed through her veins of fire. A fear that didn't belong there.

"We do what's right." She hissed at her sister. And this Tah was not the answer. "Stay by my side. I have a bad feeling..."

Would they attack any that chose to leave? Before she could determine this, someone elses voice had risen up. It spoke truer to her soul then the large intimidating Tah on the dais had. They weren't alone. There was a small sense of relief in this. Others didn't buy his pretty words. They saw him for what he was too.

Her tail another flick or two of annoyance before she lifted her chin high.

"It is true that anyone could step up." she started, lowering her tone to nullify some of the sting she wished she could inflict. "However, I don't see any new Magus stepping up to role. Do you?"

She didn't pause for long before pacing slightly, looking back over the crowd as she did so. "When I was woven into being, I awoke alone. Scared. Weak." she nodded, further acknowledging just what she was saying. "I had to learn everything on my own. I had to learn how to crawl, walk, run, hide when it rains, feel the difference between hot and cold. Night. Day. Sleep. Hunger." She plopped back into a sit. "There was no Magus. There was no one. Not a single creature was there to tell me these things. And then I came to the city!"

Her voice cracked slightly and she continued with a soft swallow. "What I saw here was no different. True, everyone was living, surviving, and reproducing, as you had said. It was a miraculous sight to see, in all honesty, but I also saw lost souls. Broken members of society with no direction. No burning fire of Unity. No Leader!"

"The Weaver hasn't given us any new Magus to replace those that had abandoned us. And No One has had the guts to at least try and step into their paws." She stepped to the side and gestured a paw to the Large Tah in the center of the room. "Until Now. He's willing to sacrifice everything to lead us. To show us what we're truly capable of. The only thing that's dividing us is the fear of change. Change from the norm. Change from the past."

She turned back to Xavier and looked at him dead on. "I do not feel any higher than anyone else here. I just want to see the Fire return to our kind. To have a purpose and direction outside of personal survival. No more ashes. No more smoldering coals and burnt husks of what we once were."

Samantha frowned, her tail curling around her feet in a seemly calm motion. In truth, she was greatly troubled. The hostility growing in the room was clearly apparent. She could feel the draw of the large Tah's words. Truthfully, if things were to change, then they couldn't continue going on the same way every day and just waiting for them to change on their own. If the situation was to change, then their behavior needed to change. Some action needed to be taken, else things would continue as they always had...

The fire burning within Liang seemed to grow brighter and brighter. He could feel the energy building, within himself, within the room. It was tense, as if it would take only a spark to set him off. Or the entire room, it seemed. He looked around the room at his brothers and sisters, frustrated and unable to understand why they continued to resist and argue. This powerful B'alam was trying to help them, to draw them together for a common purpose, to save their very way of life...and they could think of nothing but to argue and attack his character!

He felt compelled to speak, but already a pointed argument had broken out between two others. Two B'alam who were far better with words than he could be. He turned his eyes towards the well-spoken nan defending the great tah, then allowed his paws to carry him over to her side. She could handle the words; he could at least show his support with his presence. And he could glare at the tah who argued with her.

Samantha may have been drawn in by the tah's words, but his final stance on the matter broke whatever illusory spell had started to weave about her. Swear undying loyalty to an untried stranger...or else you are wrong and an enemy. Make your decision based on a strongly worded speech.

Irritation rippled beneath her fur. Samantha didn't respond well to being told what to do; at least, not without obvious valid reasoning. She'd learned that much about herself thus far. And this seemed to be far beyond an acceptable demand. Some part of her felt inclined to stand and immediately leave the room in fury. It was a rebellious streak she'd worked to temper, but was having a hard time finding reason to ignore at this point.

Of course, she cared about the future of her people. But this didn't feel like support of one's tribe that was truly being asked of them. This felt like 'support ME in seizing power' if she was honest. She couldn't explain it with any concrete proof, but something here just...didn't feel right to her. And she had learned to listen to her instincts.

Support you or else? Guess I'm going with 'else' then, she thought to herself, warily eying the growing hostility of the gathered crowd. Already they had escalated to open bickering. Would it reach physical levels, or would someone see sense before that occurred? Silently, she flexed her paws subtly, feeling the claws emerge, then re-sheath.

Xavier

"No I do not see a Magus but a whelp-woven standing up to bring conflict with false words and to manipulate the fearful with rubbish about weakness and uncertainty of the future.." Xavier snapped raising his voice and lifting his head slightly as he looked at everyone with narrowed eyes, looking up at Shen with slightly more narrowed eyes before relaxing those eyes on Yahui.

"You speak of what we have all been woven into. We have all been woven alone and had to learn like the cubs we have prayed over and were blessed by the Grand Weaver; to walk, crawl, hunt and know our minds. Our Arch Magi's had to learn the same and once they did I'm beyond certain that they bestowed their wisdom onto those closest to them, their advisors to spread the word to teach us. Or we sought out others to teach one another the ways of life because instinct drove us to it. Our souls was guided by the life force of the Grand Weaver that is in all of us, or else we would not exist without such a blessing. To be bitter that your first woven moments was alone is duly unfair to myself and others who were woven alone. Life was not meant to be easy...or else we wouldn't be here now in this predicament.

I also disagree by what you saw in coming to the city, my lady."
He growled though gave her a respectful title as he held onto his civility. "What you saw coming here was yourself projecting your emotions and visions onto others around you. Everyone here has gone through their challenges and hardships, have survived them and found their place through their own decisions. In those decisions we have all come together in a different way that is only unique to this community. If we were truly broken then we would have ceased to exist before this moment. We would not be here at this moment if we could not have learned the way of life the hard way to be useful parents to our offspring. We would not be here if we were so weak for this environment, given to us by the Grand Weaver, to call home."

Xavier paused as he saw a Tah move from the gathered crowd to stand next to Yahui. The Tah glared at him of which he could only happily return only he simply narrowed his eyes on the Tah, though gave him an accepting slight nod for this new Tah's decision, before looking to Yahui. "Newly woven or not, ask yourself what you are willing to sacrifice? Would it be your very lives and freedoms? What of that of your cubs who do not understand? They who are what continues our tribe towards the future.....what will you take away from them as they cannot speak for themselves in their young lives?"

Shen watched the growing argument with a knowing smile. The insults and accusations didn’t seem to bat an eye or unsettle even one strand of fur on his body. Sadly, without even knowing it, the defiant tah had made his argument for him while the nan perfectly articulated the reality of the situation.

“Do you see now?” He asked in a deceptively soft tone. After a moment, Shen raised his voice once more and motioned to the crimson tah adamantly standing in defiance. “Do you see? As he said- anyone could have stood where I now stand…but as m’lady accurately observed- none have. Where are these advisors and trusted friends of the Magi?” He looked around the room, looking all the world like an honest seeker of one of these individuals. When none spoke up he bobbed his shoulder. “Gone. Or having never existed. Yet again we return to depending on another to step in and provide all the answers- whether they abandoned us or never came into being at all… a false, empty hope- and to what end?”

He stepped to the edge of the dais and smiled, and while it looked all the world like the understanding expression of a stern father, there was a quiet flame deep within his eyes. He controlled it, stoked it, but held it back. “You speak of sacrifice, brother…but let me make an observation- as my character is being put on trial.”

He looked out to the crowd. “I lay myself at the alter here and now! If one must become the villain- then I will take that burden alone. If for the sake of unity, those who would cause unrest must be driven out- I will be the one to lead the charge.” He leveled a look onto Xavier, “If weakness must be crushed so the strong can find their footing- I will be the one to dirty his paws-“, He glanced back to the pale tah standing bristled nearby.

“Let the chronicles fall as they may- call me wicked, call me egotistic, but not ONE among you stepped forward to find a solution. When one presents itself- there is conflict. Would there be any individual that would have full support? I think not. So here I stand…thank your weaver that I offer you the same choice that he offered the Magi- stay and serve your purpose- or depart from us and burden us no longer.”

He lowered his tone again, this time there was an edge to his voice. Steel ground against steel, sharpening his resolve as his firey gaze fell on the crowd. “I make this offer only today. Leave in peace…but stay and defy me- and you had best be prepared to challenge me.”

He glanced down to Xavier, “B’alam to B’alam. Claw to claw. Horn to horn. Single Combat.”

He allowed that to sink in before he looked back to the others, “Those who stay will help strengthen this tribe. We will be the heroes our children sing about in the generations to come. The ages will turn back to this golden time when the strongest of the strong took the burden of their tribe upon their backs to establish a foundation in which to build. History will show that some stood against us, content to sit in complacency and idle away while their cubs lived in a tribe without direction, honor, or respect in the eyes of the realm. But those that stand for progress will have to bloody their claws on those that would fight to live in this ruin-“, He motioned around himself. “Empty. Unfinished…but full of potential. Let’s not squander this gift any longer. Stand with me, flee from me…” He narrowed his eyes, “Or stand in front of me…and see what I am willing to sacrifice for this tribe.”

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

By this point, Ashur was trembling. Fear and outrage seemed to become one in his mind, he couldn't separate the two enough to determine why his body quaked. The male was offering the unthinkable. Stay- and live in a land that would transform before their very eyes into something...warped and twisted, or leave the only home they ever knew. If those were his only two options- he wasn't sure he wanted to live with either choice. The others around him had to see...those that weren't openly agreeing with him were either standing in quiet defiance or seemed as gripped by uncertainty or fear as he was.

No. He'd not live to see his tribe crumble....and he wouldn't turn his back on her.

"I'll take your challenge."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Harbringer almost spat as the runt, of all B'alam, spoke up. Even as he did, his voice was trembling. He barely seemed to know what had just fallen from his maw. If the situation was any less dire she might have roared with laughter. A grin worked its way to the surface of her expression despite her best efforts to restrain it.

She chuckled and slowly took her place near the Nan who had defended Shen's declarations and the dragon-marked tah that had joined her. A line was drawn in the sand...and Shen was right-

Sacrifices would need to be made. There wasn't a B'alam in the world that every one of their kin would have been content to follow. When the Magi left, they opened a hole that could never be fully filled. The Magi were appointed by the Weaver himself. When they abandoned them, only mere woven B'alam, unenlightened and ignorant, could take that place. They could never fill the hole entirely, so they would have to fight to gain unity one way or another. It was unavoidable...and she would rather be standing on the side working to gain that starting point. If anything- she respected that someone, anyone, was bold enough to put a paw into the gap left behind. It just took one step to move in the right direction, and until then, her tribe had been happy to sit on their backsides and hope someone else would be up to the task.

"Run away, pale one. You'd not last one moment against even myself."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Ashur ground his teeth. It was too late to take it back. Judging by the look on Shen's face- he'd not accept a retraction of the challenge.

"No. He said if we could not live with his terms- we would challenge him. I'm calling his bluff." Ashur lifted his head. "This tribe has yet to see a B'alam raise a paw to another B'alam. I don't believe even one among us has that in us. I will not be intimidated. If you are willing to risk yourself- in life or reputation - then challenge me!"

Ooh Such a declaration, This was even more interesting as some of the faces began to fill with panic and disgust. Some even voiced their opinions it would be interesting how he would react. Ooh Another spoke up though instead a white maned nan. Thyra excitedly watched the exchange secretly hoping that it would end in blood. Oh she loved blood so such a beautiful color, so full of life and rejuvenation, it kept her strong. She wondered how well either would bleed. She'd never been able to catch a Balam... the thought had crossed her mind more than once... Just animals were all she was able to play with much to her regret.

As they continued Thrya raised a curious eye to Shen. How would he silence the crimson Tah? She waited silently though her admiration for this one continued to grow. After his declaration there only seemed to be one conclusion in her mind. She was getting excited, for the first time in a long time. Though she was a disappointed he seemed to keep giving them a chance to leave. When would the fighting start?

Smaug's tail gave a small twitch behind him as he listened to Shen's words. They had rang true with his own soul. Yes this was something he could follow fully. Right then and there he silently devoted himself to this Tah. Perhaps it was something he was brought here for. His itch for a fight grew, soon he was hoping soon it could be scratched.

His ears flicked at the conversations that were happening around him. Some in agreement to Shen, others in totally denial. He silently agreed with Yahui words, though who was he to judge after all he had just been brought to this world, all he looked for was someone strong to follow or to lead, and he found it here in Shen.

The arguments either for or against Shen's declaration continued around him. Though he no longer began to care if others were trying to convince those if Shen's ideas were good or bad for their kin. He stepped forward through the crowd, pushing his way through those until he reached the front of the throne.

"I will follow you" he declared quite loudly for all to hear. "From now until the end of time. My life and limb are yours to use as you please." It was a bold declaration, but he cared not for how others would see it.

Orange orbs glanced over at Ashur as he spoke his last statement, about another b'alam raising a paw to another. "Well then pale one you have not met me then." He growled.

"Lord Shen, allow me to get rid of this pest for you." He requested with quite the smirk.

Xavier

Xavier's eyes glazed over in fury, taken away from Yahui and the male Liang as it pieced right back at Shen unmasking the depth of his rage at this bold male. His words were taken and twisted around to further his cause....well then if that was the way of it so be it. Xavier knew what was what and those who were here when he was woven would know it as well. The crimson blazed male had had enough.

Stepping forward he bared his teeth angrily then stopped several feet away from those that made a barricade at the foot of the dais, at the paws of Shen. "Hear me, young woven, you are no brother of mine. You insult and twist everything that I've said.....and have shed light to the fact of how lazy and petty this tribe has become now with your deadly offer. You willingly divide this tribe with your threats...."

Xavier paused to look at the pale coated Tah who quivered in fear but was more brave for speaking up and standing up when he could have just left....no matter the size or amount of fear he saw that this male had there was an inner strength that could be tapped into. Moving to stand several feet from Ashur, he lifted his head up. "I was woven into this tribe with my first breath vowing to give my life to my last breath.....No true member of this tribe would agree to such nonsense and leave what has been everyone's home." He looked at the those who sided with Shen and those who showed their aggression towards the smaller pale male with disgust.

"You have all condemed yourselves to a legacy of shame. Rather than wait for the true heir and chosen one of this tribe, you pick a whelp who is still wet behind his ears. You who side with this male are no brethren of mine." The Tah dimissed them as he stared at Shen. "I challenge you though becareful what you are willing to sarcifice, it will forever resonant in these halls like a scar that will never heal." Xavier allowed his claws to become unsheathed, lowering his tail but he was otherwise poised to....not attack anyone though he was inwardly really to break peace and use his claws on his own tribe members.

Cinead

The cocoa furred male with the bandit's marking over his eyes was angry at what was being suggested....no being offered as a legitimate decision. Stand and follow this male to make sacrifices, or leave peacefully into....an undisclosed length of exile or worse....face him and die. Cinead agreed with the pale, ghostly male with the pink horns and with the crimson male. Both made good points. Yet Cinead kept his silence and took several steps back not wanting to see any bloodshed but needing to see everything that followed through. He didn't know why he needed to see everything that played out here but with the information that was being gathered right now he may found out soon enough just how useful it is. For now he was at the outskirts of the group, watching and waiting with his breath held.

A deep breath left The dark balam that remained quiet by the doors. His ears turned and twisted to the sounds and squabbles about the room. Dark smoky tail shifted behind his body. This was all getting out of paw quickly. Dark gray ears shifted back at

Taking in another deep breath of his pipe, the Black Smith released a puff of smoke out his maw. The mention of challenge and fighting buzzed in his ears. The crowd grew more restless. Forge's scars on his face and maw started to burn as he hear mention of another balam not raising a paw to another. Forge knew otherwise.

However Pup, was still young...

"Ridiculous..." The word left the billow of smoke from his maw.

Regardless the outcome, Forge was determined to stay in the clan, but he would take no part in this....this...insulting display of leadership.

Hunches turned the blacksmith around as he slipped from the throne chambers just as easily and swiftly as he came. He was going back to his Forge, to bury himself in his work.
