His head tilted, watching with interest as the glow seemed to fade from his wolf's eyes. As the light dimmed Wolfeite appeared to recede into something calmer and then -
I yield.
Unexpected but pleasing. "It appears I can teach a stubborn dog new tricks," he smirked, lifting the scythe and banishing back to subspace. From there, he stepped forward, extended a hand towards Wolfeite and looked at him expectantly.
"Come, I want to look at your wound." He was curious to see the damage that'd be done, thought there might be some stitching needed. "We'll return to the Dark Kingdom, then to the house."

He was still breathing raggedly as he stared up at Labyrinthite, but Wolfeite's gaze was calm, even if his voice was a little rougher than usual. A bead of sweat slid down his face, the pain of his back starting to seep into his consciousness as he became more aware of the fact that he was making it worse, lying like this.
His lip pulled back in a slight sneer at the comment, but the scythe lifting made air rush into his lungs, and Wolfeite coughed, pushing himself up. He glanced at the offered hand, then reached out and grasped it, using Labyrinthite to drag himself up onto his feet again.
"Yes," he said in a low growl, and there was no sir added to the end of it - there was a limit to how far Wolfeite would go, after all - but it was clear that he was, at least, agreeing with what the general was saying. He hissed a little at the movement, but the injury wasn't bad enough to make him incapacitated.

Labyrinthite gave Wolfeite a leveled gaze as he pulled him to his feet, grip firm around the other man's forearm. Something unreadable passed across his expression before he let go and turned, beginning to head toward the Hall of Shadows and it's staircase. He didn't have to say anything, knowing that the captain would follow at his heels if he knew what was good to him.
He might have been bothered by the lack of sir but there was still progress happening and with someone as self centered and stubborn as Wolfeite, that was what mattered.
Once they were back in the dark kingdom, his hand found the small of Wolfeite's back, fingers digging into the back of his uniform. Then, with a blink, they were gone.
