Sunny took the first ball and lined up her shot with a great deal of concentration. "I can leave. I've left before. But I don't like to, it's true." She skee'd the ball into one of the 500 point holes with a complex maneuver that seemed to involve bouncing off an unreasonable number of things. "Being out of what? The town?" Sunny took a seat on the lane next to Finn's chosen lane, blatantly ignoring the signs reading Please Don't Sit On The Lanes. The attendant didn't seem to notice her presence at all, though, so…

Finn took his turn, stepping up to the lane and neatly sinking the ball into the 100 pocket. Sunny was divinely good - he was not. It was a pity that his pathfinding ability didn't apply to arcade games. "Yeah," he said, stepping back. "Out of the town." She was tied to it, wasn't it? Or to the Other Ashdown, anyway. It occurred to him that the attendant hadn't noticed her - what did he look like? Was he just playing Skeeball and talking to himself? "Do I look crazy right now?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.

Sunny's turn again! She picked up a ball and this time just overhand chucked it into the 500 pocket, because playing skeeball like a human was for chumps, and also humans. "Weird," she said. "I don't like it. It's like taking off an arm and just kinda leaving it there bleeding to go play skeeball." She looked at Finn's fluffy hair. "You always look stupid, but probably not crazy," she said. "Finniam."

Finn wasn't sure how he felt about that answer. "You're the one who wanted to come here," he said, stepping up to the lane again. "There's places in Ashdown for Frybread if you didn't want to come all this way." His shot fell short, sinking into the 50 pit - and he probably deserved it, making comments to Sunny like that. "So, like," he said, glancing down at the ever-increasing string of tickets sticking out of the machine. "Am I winning you a Care Bear, or what?"

"Fry dough, dummy," she said. They ran out of balls eventually. "I think it is I who is winning you the care-bear, since I'm the one sinking all these 500s," she said, gathering up the tickets as her rightful tithe. "Why can't I hold all these victories?" She fed them into the ticket-counter and pocketed the little receipt. "You promised me frydough."

"I did," nodded Finn, pulling Sunny away towards one of the restaurants lining the strip. The menu board advertised pretty much anything you could imagine, dipped in batter and then fried in oil. He ordered a frydough for them to share, and then stepped off to the side to wait for their food. "So," he asked, watching the cook work. "Have you ever had this before? Or did you just hear about it and decided you needed to try it?"

Sunny said, "I heard about it and it sounded so good? I hear a lot of good things about fried things." She stared hungrily at the chef, violet eyes dark and intense. "Life is so hard," she sighed. Her stomach growled, and she sighed again. She wanted that frydough, damnit.

The chef, looking a little put off by Sunny's intensity, handed the paper-swaddled frydough to Finn and retreated back to the back of the stand. Finn, in turn, handed it to Sunny - he knew better than to get between her and her current object of desire. He waited for her to sample it, then asked, "Well? Is it everything you dreamed of and more?"

"It's disgusting," said Sunny delightedly, tearing off a huge hunk of it and putting it in her mouth. "Humans are so weird! How do you eat this stuff!" She said it through a mouthful of frydough, so it came out less words-y and more mrrph mrrr MUUUUHHHH, but her feelings on the matter were clearly communicated by the huge grin on her face.

Finn could not understand a word Sunny was saying, and did not try to reply - he only reached over and took a piece for himself (when he was sure she wouldn't attack him for it, of course). It tasted like a heart attack, because of course it did.
