"Rraaaahhhh," said the irrepressible, irresponsible and irreverent fire-type as she headbutted Taavi's side fondly, then turned to toddle off into the other room.
"Those are all very accurate," Abel said with a point of a finger at Taavi before he hooked his thumbs into his pockets and looked to Zevran. "Yeah, it's true. Pokemon evolve in all kinds of different ways. They both need fire stones, specifically." Caleb's ears perked up at the mention of fire stones. "You can look them up online if you want. You should be able to find out what stone yours will need too, if you want it to evolve."

"Raaaaaaah," Taavi replied fondly, scratching Elizabeth's head as she departed. For all he knew he'd just said 'tax benefits' in Char' but he never worried much about friendly interactions like that with pokemon.
People though-
"I should get going," Taavi said with a flash of a smile and a gesture to the window. "We need to get to camp before dark! Oh! Number, right." How could he nearly forget that? Taavi shook his head at himself and fetched the small notepad and pen out of their pouch on his belt to scribble down his name and number; he tore off the page and handed it to Zev with a smile.
__________________________
"Ah, thank you!" Zevran read the number - it was polite to show interest in a business card even if it was scribbled on a small piece of paper - and then tucked it into his pocket. "And I wouldn't wish to keep you from your camping but maybe we can meet again sometime?" He gestured to his pocket. "I will contact you?"
Taavi smiled and nodded, grabbing a huge backpack and heading for the window. "Sure! And err, sorry about - y'know - running off on you last time and the whole.... Yeeeeah, so see you another time! You two have a good time!" He flashed a brighter smile at Abel. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon I guess, text me if you need anything though!"
"Oh, don't apologise!" Zevran smiled and shook his head. "I'm sorry you felt too uncomfortable to say goodbye, a failing on my part perhaps? Well, another time; enjoy your camping!"

"Better hurry then," Abel said with a glance out the window. "It'll be dark as hell pretty soon, it's already late." Not that he wanted to run his friend off, but, well... It was already nine at night; he wouldn't have much time at all to get to wherever he was camping if he waited much longer. "Will do," though he didn't expect he'd need anything that Taavi could get from his brief camping trip, "and if I'm not home when you get back then Sonia'll let you in. Have fun, see you tomorrow, man." A brief parting wave accompanied his words, and Isaac offered a good-bye of his own in the form of a short "eon!" The blond really did hope his friend enjoyed himself, he'd been planning to go for a while now and what with all the stress they had to deal with on a daily basis, he hoped the trip did him good. At the very least it'd be time spent away from the busy city and Alyssa.
Once Taavi had departed, Abel turned back to Zevran and gestured to the interior of his apartment. "So yeah, welcome to my place. It's not very big or exciting or anything, but go ahead and make yourself at home. I've got movies we can put on if you want, and I'm sure there's a deck of cards somewhere around here, or we can just sit around, drink beer, eat chips and talk about s**t - whatever you wanna do."

For a couple of moments after Taavi had climbed out onto the fire escape and flown away on his bird - Valour? - Zevran looked thoughtfully out of the window after him. Why had he ever agreed to go on a ménage à trois date to begin with? He really didn't seem like the type, of course appearances could be deceiving but in this case they clearly were not.
"Hum?" Zevran turned as Abel spoke, a smile replacing his thoughtful expression at the welcome offered. "It has four walls, a roof, and furniture; that's not bad going!" he observed cheerfully. "And how about we start with beer and chips and conversation? Oh!" He raised the plastic bag he was still holding. "I don't know if these are actually any good but the shop I went to was selling non-alcoholic cocktails for pokemon, I thought they might want to feel included? I don't know if there are enough to go around though, I confess I didn't expect quite so many!"

While he didn't miss the way his guest continued to look out the window once Taavi had departed, he didn't know the reasoning behind it. He left it alone for the moment in favor of hooking his thumbs into his pockets again with a quiet 'heh.' "That's very fair." And a lot more than Taavi would've had if he hadn't stayed with him... Although he never expected him to stay this long. Damn Alyssa... Oh well, there was nothing to do about her at the moment. That, and he didn't care to think about her right now. "Sounds good to me," the blond replied agreeably. He gestured towards the couch so Zevran would hopefully get the hint he could seat himself if he felt like it, then headed into the kitchen to fetch the aforementioned beer and chips.
"Non-alcoholic cocktails for pokemon...? Never seen those before," he said with raised eyebrows as he opened the crate of beer, pulled out two bottles to start with, then grabbed a container of dip to go along with the chips. After he straightened up and shut the fridge, he grabbed the couple of bags of chips that he'd set on the counter earlier. He hummed thoughtfully as he headed back into the living room to deposit the drinks and snacks on the coffee table that sat in front of his couch, then shrugged. "I dunno if any of them will go for them, actually. D'you know what's in them?"

Noting that Abel wasn't wearing shoes Zevran pulled off his boots and put them out of the way beside the couch before sitting down, legs folded up comfortably underneath him. "I didn't know such a thing existed either but I assumed it was quite normal," he said with a shrug, giving Amigo a stroke as the Caterpie clambered down his torso to sit in his lap. "Let's see," he fetched out the pack of eight drinks and studied them, "we have two Bloody Marys, two blackberry and mint spritzers, two Moscow Mules, and two watermelon mojitos... they say that the Bloody Mary is a spicy drink, the blackberry is sour, the mule is dry and the watermelon sweet?" That seemed strangely specific and yet also unspecific. Zevran shrugged. "They seem to be mainly juice and soda with a few other things in them though."

In contrast to the other blond's careful way of seating himself, Abel turned and gracelessly flopped down on the couch. Once down on the same level as his company, he leaned closer to get a better look at the drinks with a thoughtful frown on his face. "Huh... I guess now that I think about it, I shouldn't be surprised. I wonder if they're made from berries..." His first thought was that Vanessa would probably enjoy the mojitos, but his second thought was that she wouldn't emerge until after Zevran left, so she probably wouldn't want anything until then...
"Hey bud," he began as he flopped his head backwards onto the back of the couch, "want to try a Moscow Mule?"
Isaac hesitated a moment and flicked his forked tail, trying to recall which one that was. Not the sour one, right? No, it was the dry one.
"He'll try one," Abel translated, taking the uncertain but non-negative noises to mean 'yes.' "Hey Sonia--"
Before he could even look around to see where the Zoroark had gotten to, the dark-type emerged from the kitchen with a shallow bowl held in her claws. She padded over and bent down to set it on the coffee table for them. When she did, Abel reached up to give her a fond scratch behind the ears and a warm smile in thanks. "Ah, does your friend there want to share, or try a different one?" The blond asked as he turned to look at Zevran and his Caterpie. Sonia turned to look at them as well, poised to head back into the kitchen for a second bowl if need be.

As Sonia approached with the bowl Zevran gave her a speculative look. "You know your colours are very familiar Sonia, are you a..." What had the evolution been called? "A Zoroark?" As he spoke he twisted the top off the selected mocktail and poured the contents into the dish the bipedal pokemon had provided. "And what do you think Amigo, will you try this one?" Zevran asked, giving the bug in his lap another stroke along with the question; Amigo made what sounded like an enthusiastic noise and so Zevran lifted him over onto coffee table, chuckling slightly as one sucker-foot briefly got stuck to his arm. "Careful! If you give me small round bruises people's first thoughts will not be Caterpie feet you know. Not that I mind though I suppose."

The dark-type nodded her head once in response to Zevran's question. Abel picked up for his rather quiet pokemon, "Yep, she is. You have a Zorua egg, I think Taavi said? How much do you know about them?" As he spoke he lifted his arm up to make room for Isaac as the lithe psychic-type hopped down onto the cushion between the two men, then hopped onto the coffee table while keeping its smooth surface in mind. The last thing he wanted to do was slip on it.
...small round bruises. Abel chuckled and shook his head a bit. "If he left them on your neck, maybe," he said with an airy shrug before he leaned forward to open a bag of chips as well as the container of dip for them, "but on your arm? Nah, I think the first thing people'd think would be fingers, like someone grabbed your arm too hard or something. Nothing that scandalous."

"Oh do you think?" Zevran grinned at Abel as he opened his beer. "Perhaps my mind is just too filthy though forceful arm grabbing could be involved too of course, the heat of the moment and so on. Mmh," he took a sip of his beer, "and I know a little of Zorua, Taavi started to tell me about them over dinner and afterwards I went to the library to read more. I'm sure there's still a lot I don't know, but I'm also sure that Taavi or his partner will be happy to fill me in! Especially Taavi." Given Taavi was the ranger he would probably go to him first, plus he was pretty sure that it would please Taavi a lot more to be asked than it would Sasha.
Amigo meanwhile investigated the drink in the bowl, it was fizzy! He hadn't had anything fizzy before he'd met Zev but he was already a big fan. <> he chirped to the other pokemon.

"I do think," he replied with a light smirk, "but you make a good point. I think I like that one better." After sufficiently dipping a chip and crunching on it a bit, the blond nodded his head. "That's good then. So you know at least a bit about their illusion abilities then, yeah? Sonia can give you a demonstration sometime if you want."
The named paused on her way to the nearby armchair and glanced back at the humans, waiting to see if he did indeed want one such demonstration.
"But yeah, Taavi would love to tell you all about them, I'm sure. He loves Pokemon and could talk about them all day," Abel said with a hint of fondness in his voice as he reached for his beer to open it. Now that Zevran had opened his, he didn't feel the need to wait for his own anymore.
Isaac leaned forward and sniffed at the drink a bit suspiciously. But they'd said it wasn't alcoholic, so he lapped at it a bit. A moment later he bobbed his head at he Caterpie.

"See?" Zevran grinned and raised his bottle to Abel. "I have good points, many of them. And I would love to see that if Sonia doesn't mind?" He nodded to the Zoroark before turning to Abel once more. "I rather gathered that he could! You two are...." Zevran looked around, so far as he could tell this was a one bedroom apartment but Abel had called Taavi his roommate. Humm. "...Good friends?" he hazarded curiously. Did Taavi have something going on behind Sasha's back? Surely not! Yet if Sasha wouldn't even tell Taavi where he lived perhaps that was only fair.
<> the Caterpie agreed, apparently not inclined to too much conversation just now.

Abel chuckled a bit at Zevran's words before he took a sip of his beer, then gestured towards Sonia with the bottle. "You mind?" She shook her head as she clambered into the armchair and curled up comfortably, so he nodded his head. "All right, pick some stuff."
The dark-type shifted a bit so she could look around, then settled on the items atop the coffee table. A second open bottle shimmered into view near Amigo - then a third, and a fourth, and a fifth, sixth, seventh; in a matter of moments at least a dozen open bottles littered the coffee table.
As the Zoroark crafted her illusions, Abel gave his guest a sly smirk. The glances and well-timed pauses told him everything he needed to know about what Zev was thinking. "Your mind is filthy," he noted aloud, then shook his head. "We are good friends, yeah, but not like that. Hell no. No, we're just friends, just roommates, and he sleeps on the couch. Though," he too glanced around at the one-bedroom apartment, "I didn't ever intend to have roommates when I got this place. Places like this are for singles or couples, not," he gestured vaguely with his beer bottle, "actual roommates."
When Amigo didn't continue to speak, Isaac simply smiled and lapped at the drink a bit more, unfazed by the rapidly multiplying bottles around him. If the Caterpie didn't feel like talking, then he wouldn't press it; companionable silence was perfectly acceptable in his opinion.

Zevran watched in fascination as bottle after bottle seemingly popped into existence. "Now that's a good trick," he murmured, reaching out to try to touch one. It felt like a glass bottle, cold, but when he tried to close his hand around it and pick it up his fingers passed straight through and it disappeared. "A very good trick," he added, grinning a little in disbelief; the things you could with a pokemon with these abilities!
Amigo looked up from his drink at the sudden array of bottle and wriggled over to bump his head against one. <>
"But yes," Zevran sat back on the couch and chuckled at Abel, "I do have a filthy mind, but I wouldn't have wondered about you if this weren't a one bedroom apartment. The couch makes more sense than Taavi having a secret behind Sasha's back, especially given that he changed his mind so firmly about our ah... evening plans." Why somebody would live on somebody else's couch long term was something Zevran didn't question, he assumed it was related to money and left it at that for the time being at least.

"She's got better tricks," Abel said over his own real bottle before taking another sip. Amigo's bottle wobbled for a moment before it shimmered away. In the blink of an eye the rest of the bottles vanished as well, and Sonia looked over at her trainer. "Pick someone," he said, and the Zoroark nodded her head once. In the next moment, a second Abel appeared in her place in the armchair and offered Zevran a brief wave and a lazy smile. Abel himself made a brief displeased face. "Nah, Taavi would never do something like that." Changed his mind...? The real blond frowned a bit. "What d'you mean?"
Isaac said with a small bob of his head,
