While the general had no qualms about pushing and taunting, the adrenaline of a fight had kicked in and it was clear that this was no game. He took spars seriously, especially against his own. Opportunity for growth, he thought was he loomed over Wolfeite's fallen form.

The roar was loud, rippled across the silence that had settled over the parking lot.

It'd been his mistake to keep so close when Wolfeite's legs kicked out. He jerked back, avoiding a blow to the face but catching the heel square in the chest. There was a grunt, then harsh fingers against an ankle, twisting and jerking as Labyrinthite used his backward momentum and Metallia blessed strength to lift and throw.

"Better, still pathetic," he barked when he released the captain. "I have faced white mooners who are more formidable than you. Where is your potential? Where is the wolf inside you." He wanted to see more, for Wolfeite to come at him with more than just anger. "You're sloppy because you're desperate. Control yourself."

He felt a sense of savage pleasure that his foot had managed to hit Labyrinthite as hard as it had. Wolfeite felt the sharp give of body, the grunt from the general just before hands seized his ankle and twisted harshly. Wolfeite was dragged partially up and then thrown sideways; he hit the ground with a crash and skidded on the pavement, feeling it scrape through his uniform.

He was back on his feet within seconds. Labyrinthite's taunts were ringing in his ears, poison in his veins, and Wolfeite let out another snarl, his fists clenched at his sides, his tail lashing violently behind him. There was a ripple of a shudder that passed through him, a frisson of tension.

The time for words had gone. Wolfeite lunged forward again, golden eyes glowing vibrantly in his black smeared face, and the instinct was kicking now, reverberating throughout him. There was a humming in his thoughts, as though the youma side of him was pleased at this turn of events; a feral, entirely wolf-like howling sound that tore from his throat as Wolfeite's hands grappled for Labyrinthite's throat.

Howl: Wolfeite lets out a resounding howl and the force of it causes a disorienting ringing sensation through his opponent's head. It's painful, but not agonizing, and will probably leave a bit of a headache. This lasts approximately 20 seconds.

Seeing Wolfeite back on his feet so quickly pleased Labyrinthite, even if the anger did not.

He did not move towards or away from the half-youma, instead waiting to see what move Wolfeite would take. It would have been easy to turn the tables on this fight, to end it with the other man pressed to the ground with Labyrinthite's boot digging into his spine.

But that wasn't what he wanted.

No lesson would be learned if he went that route and both would be worse off in the end. This wasn't about his strength or his battle prowess but his recruit's. Wolfeite had ungone a change that Labyrinthite could not understand but knew had to lend him new abilities.

The general needed to know what they were. How else would he control them and their master?

"Do not keep me waiting," he snarled right before the lunge. The sound of the filled the area around them, slammed into Labyrinthite with a force he could not see and even stumbled backward with his features contorting in pain. Unable to help the ringing sensation that followed, he pressed his palms against his ears, eyes squinting as pain shot through his temple like a migraine.

His mind was slipping, descending into darkness.

It was not the careful construct of Archer Wren, full of manipulation and meticulous planning of every scenario he was in. This was something darker, deeper, less refined, less human altogether. The wolf inside of him was clawing its way through him, tearing through the guise of his former self to burn through to the top and take over.

He could not think straight. Wolfeite's thoughts were jagged, sharp edges that did not fit together, and the golden eyes had lost their sense of humanity. His body slammed into Labyrinthite's, hearing the ringing howl reverberating loud and clear through his head, but it did not affect him the way that it was affecting the general.

He did not notice this either. His hands were around Labyrinthite's neck, and the snarls that were coming from his throat were entirely feral in nature; a heady, purely animalistic urge to fight and to attack and to kill overtaking anything that was left of him.

And inside of him, the wolf was roaring its approval.

Disoriented was not a feeling that Labyrinthite enjoyed and Wolfeite's new ability reminded him vaguely of senshi magic. It'd begun to fade, though his hearing was still marred by the ringing when Wolfeite's body collided into his with enough force to send him to the ground.

The general held back a grunt of pain with a hiss instead, chin tipping back when hands came around his neck. Were he anyone else, were he against someone he didn't have experience battling against then he would've been concerned. Instead, he laughed, rough and distorted by the choking attempt.

"Ah," he croaked, fingers digging into the wrists of the hands around his neck, with his thumbs forcing they're way beneath the palms to push them up and reduce pressure. "Good boy."

This had been what he wanted to see, how the wolf moved when set free. From watching General-Queen Tanzanite, Labyrinthite had learned that there was a fine line between controlling the youma and existing with it. He disapproved of what had overcome his captain, but the general could not say that he wasn't interested in how it effected him and how to groom it to suit his needs.

It took more effort than he would admit, to bring up a leg and jam it into Wolfeite's stomach and to rock their bodies enough that he could start to reverse their positions. The airflow restriction was a nuisance, but manageable for now and still something he needed to be rid of sooner rather than later.

A sharp inhale of breath and then, Labyrinthite attempted to rip Wolfeite's hands from his neck.

He was dimly aware of the human side of him, of the fact that he was not, at least, a full youma with no humanity left to it. But that human side was buried right now, lost to the feral, animalistic desires of the wolf that seemed to howl inside of him, tearing through his thoughts.

He was straddling Labyrinthite, pinning him with his knees on either side and his hands at his throat. Gloved thumbs tried to press into his windpipe, intending to crush it, but the general had his own hands there, pushing forcefully, keeping him from going too far. An angry snarl ripped from Wolfeite's mouth, sharp teeth gritted together with the effort.

Labyrinthite's knee caught him about the stomach and pushed hard, and then they had rolled and now it was reversed - Labyrinthite on top, grasping at his clawing hands, pulling them away from his throat. Wolfeite gave a howl of rage and fought hard, grappling to to free himself, gold eyes glinting dangerously.

Whatever words he could have had were gone; but humanity was starting to sink back into him with the pressure of Labyrinthite keeping him trapped where he was.

The shift in position let something feral wash over the general. Now, he was the one straddling the captain, knees digging into lean hips once hands had been ripped away. The second the force was gone, he inhaled sharply with a shark grin displayed and kept Wolfeite down with a single hand trapping his wrists above his head.

Labyrinthite leaned forward so that his face was hovered inches above, taunting.

"Better," he said smugly, his free hand reaching for one of the wolf ears with his nails scratching at the base. It was an automatic motion, brought about by the instinctual notion of appealing to the wolf half of the man beneath him. "We'll test you more later," Labyrinthite promised, shark grin twisting into a smirk as he pressed closer. Idly, he wondered if Wolfeite would attempt to snap his teeth at him and then he mused what he might do in response.

After care would be handled soon, that he was certain of, but he wanted to see if his wolf would keep fighting.

His hips snapped up, body bucking to try and throw Labyrinthite off. Wolfeite twisted his wrists, a vain attempt at freeing them since the general’s grasp was all but ironclad. Wild golden eyes were wide and black and dilated, a mixture of hunger and anger and frustration causing a heady rush of adrenaline through him, every part of him tense and barely controlled.

Labyrinthite’s hand grabbed at his ear, fingers scratching, and a thrum ran through him, almost like a growl but not quite, bitten back. A burst of hatred pushed past the animal - he hated that Labyrinthite had this much control over him, knew exactly how to get beneath his skin in all the ways that mattered.

The general’s face was too near his, smirking and leering with that self-assurance that never failed to rattle him. Wolfeite strained harder, but it was no use, his sense of self slowly coming back into himself.

And then he was still, his eyes looking murderously up at Labyrinthite, his chest rising and falling rapidly.

There was a slight shift when hips were bucked and Labyrinthite simply settled his weight against the offending body part. There was a shift of hands, until both were spread above Wolfeite with Labyrinthite's own holding them there. It wasn't difficult to see, feel, the way the captain reacted to such displays of authority.

"I am the alpha," he growled, teeth flashing and mouth close enough the man would be able to hear his breath. "Don't forget that little wolf pup, because I will always put you back in place." A threat and a promise that he would follow through with.

"Now pup, since you've done so well why don't we..." He trailed off as his head cocked, brow arching while he waited for the man to put it together himself after a slight rocking motion.

He wanted to scream. He wanted to fight, to tear Labyrinthite's arms from his body, to feel the rush of adrenaline and the heat of battle, to taste the coppery tang of blood in the air around him. The wolf part of him was longing for it, howling inside of him.

But it was subduing, at least a little. Labyrinthite had shifted so that the full weight of him bore down upon Wolfeite, and his hands were no longer trapped together but pinned beside his head by Labyrinthite's, almost a ludicrous position that galled him.

A tremor ran through Wolfeite as he stared mutinously up at the general, their faces scarcely inches from each other. As Labyrinthite shifted just so, he let out a low growl, his head falling back, breath catching in his exposed throat as he struggled to maintain himself, to regain some sense of dignity His body, however, would not and could not lie, reacting instinctively, obviously.

His fingers curled and uncurled. Wolfeite swallowed hard, and finally, because he had nothing else left, he gave a slow nod of assent, teeth clenched tightly together.

There would be another fight, of a different nature, Labyrinthite was sure of as he felt the adrenaline pushing through their veins. The air was still charged with a different type of tension coming to replace the fight tension.

"Good boy," he mumbled when Wolfeite's head tipped back with a shudder. The half-youma would feel the smirk on his mouth when Labyirinthite closed the space between their mouth following the nod. It was a kiss that turned harsh and possessive almost immediately after, with teeth nipping when he pulled back.

Smug was a very attractive look on Labyrinthite when he met eyes a brighter gold than his own. Teeth skimmed the exposed lines of Wolfeite's throat before his mouth was back on the other man's hot and fierce as the captain arched into it, couldn't keep himself from sinking into it and what it promised.

As always, Labyrinthite kept a firm hold on him not bothering to stop or relent even as their scenery shifted and they were moved somewhere more private.
