"Alright, stay there, you can't get up without calling somebody. ...Noah's your, uh, boyfriend. Far as I know. And it weren't on purpose, just nobody told us until now." Harrison returned Rep's look, especially at the owed dues comment, "I don't know what Rep's so sore at. If it was a debt situation it wouldn't be as simple as walking in and out of a room."
It wasn't, though. Al didn't answer the other questions.
"You remember who we are?"

Lost but not Forgotten
He removed his hand slowly, more aware the more that Al spoke. "Yeah, you live here. You're a Hunter like all of us. You were in a mission with Dawson and I when we were attacked. We lost you in the fog and by the time we reached you, the road swallowed you up down a gourge."
He moved a chair over and sat. "Do you remember anything?" Because it was clear now the knock to his noggin had not given him much of a memory.

Rep was too pissed off to even look around at Al, wanting to leave more than anything else and in absolutely no mood to converse with the man. The face he didn't remember anything just made whatever connection they'd ever had even more moot than it had ever been and he was just angry that he now found himself in the same room as a whiny stranger.
It was fortunate Harrison illuminated Al as to who Noah was because Rep had absolutely no intention.
"I'm leaving Ace." he said to Harrison. "You can field this bullshit, I'm done."

Red in a Sea
Al stopped at Harrison's request but did not return to where he'd started. He stayed just at the edge of the bed and looked at him, emotions carefully smoothing over.
"I remember feelings... Like... I know I care about both of you, a lot. Love. Even. Like... Uhm... Are you my brothers?" He glanced fleetingly back at Rep. "For a second there... I... This is embarrassing but I thought he was... My uh..." He rubbed the back of his head looking rather flustered. "Well. You know."
He leaned in conspiratorially and whispered as if telling a secret, "You're the King and Queen right? Of the future?"
He glanced back over to Rep and sighed, "I just. I don't understand why you pretended that you cared about me. You clearly don't and I guess never did based on what you're saying. It just... I feel betrayed right now." He shrugged a shoulder. "It hurts and I don't know what to do with it. I kind of want to throw something, but part of me feels like that won't end well for me. All that leaves me with is sadness."

Harrison made increasingly skeptical expressions at Al's attempts to divine their relationship. He had (for a while) considered Al to be a weaselly boundary overstepping little s**t, but had forgiven a lot on account of him also being a longtime faithful employee and gradually getting a set of balls and something like his own life.
"Coworkers," Harrison said flatly, "must have gotten a pretty good knock."

Rep finally rounded on Al, absolutely seething with anger. He could not ******** believe what he'd just heard, from the statement that he thought they were in a relationship to the ******** comment about feeling betrayed. "AYE. COWORKERS." he snapped.
"I don't owe you a goddamn ******** thing. And if you throw something at me I will put you though a ******** wall."

Red in a Sea
"I don't know what else to tell you," he held his hands up defensively at the men. "All I know is what I can feel. I just. I remember falling. I remember lots of rocks and thinking about home." He paused at the word looking dazed for just a moment. He closed his eyes then opened them again to continue. "I know you two were missed and cared about. It's hard to know in what way without like..." He gestured vaguely and then shrugged.
"I guess I'm just an employee then," it didn't seem accurate to him at all but if they said it. It must be true. A thought seemed to bother him as his mouth suddenly scrunched up into a frown. "Am I fired?"

"Not really," Al answered. A lot of what Melvin said was certainly news to him. Still, he smiled all the same when Melvin took a seat. "You're the first person that has come to see me." He sounded pleased. "I was starting to think I didn't belong here."

Jordan stopped by during the evening hours, bringing a small bag with him. "Heard you got stuck in here. Bad mission?"

Returned
He'd suddenly jumped at the arrival of a new guest. It had been quiet for a while but the sudden noise was welcome after calming down. "Uh. Um. Yes?" He sounded like he was asking. He watched Jordan curiously. His feelings were pleasant and caring. Almost like family too.

"Any idea how long you're going to be stuck in here?" Jordan brought the bag over to set it down on the table. "Brought you a book and a couple of candy bars, if you're allowed to have normal food." He hadn't seen Al for some time, and he felt vaguely awkward about it. He hadn't been avoiding him, but their paths hadn't crossed.

Returned
"No really," he answered as best he could before suddenly patting the edge of his bed, trying to invite Jordan to sit with him a while.
"How are you?" He didn't pay the bag much of any mind. He found trying to read very difficult lately and hunger was sporadic and difficult to find anything suitable to placate it. So far at least, he realized apples were still his favorite. Unless he finds another new favorite.

Jordan sat down, not really thinking anything of it. He had been on good terms with Al, if a little standoffish. "Keeping busy," he answered. "Doing missions, training. How've you been?"

"Well I'm only half in charge of that," Harrison said, giving the multitude of casts an unsure look and being about as reassuring as he was capable. "You still got a job at the bar. I mean, they didn't take Lance out behind a shed. He did have to transfer, though. What'd Nuru say, you gonna get use of your limbs back? Or your uh,"
Harrison tapped his temple.
He also gave Rep an arm rub. An arm rub that hopefully diverted some impending infirmary violence.
"But not if you throw s**t and die. Can't be responsible for your employment status at that point."
