Xavier had been leery about being stung by one of the bees but had remained still and namely quiet as she'd indicated. Mostly he wasn't if it made a difference if he talked while she worked. He wanted to show her his crystal mine sometime..he understood selling things for a beetle profit. Xavier sometimes sold the pelts and furs from his hunting trips along with the jewelry he made.

He looked surprised when she mentioned the stuff would make him feel funny. "Oh..then yuh. I don't want to eat that. I'm glad it helps you bring in Beetles to eat with." It was a slight shame. The stuff looked good but he took her words to his pump biscuit and wouldn't try it. At least her lusus enjoyed it that was nice anyway. "I'll keep your secret safe..I don't want anyone to take from yuh." Xavier promised abruptly with a seriousness about him. The expression changed to a softer one at her shy responses as if encouraging her it'd be okay.

"I have a crystal mine near my hive. I'm planning on selling some of them soon. I'll have to show you sometime!" He replied a bit shyly about showing off his work.

"Oh. I still need to forage..hm." As if on cue his stomach growled dangerously. He was considering going hunting for the both of them. "You aren't hungry or anything are yuh?" He asked softly as he offered her a small smile. "I can always try and bring down enough for the four of us." He offered.

Xavier noticed how she seemed confused by the word..much in a similar way how he hadn't been sure what the honey was for. "Oh it's the shiny stuff you make into jewelry usually!" He quickly filled in the gap for her. A little deflation in his shoulders was evident when she mentioned her lusus ate more than he likely could hunt in a day. Well. At least he'd offered.

Glancing at his mothergrub lusus then back to the pair. Making friends was always nice, Xavier couldn't help but be just a bit apprehensive. He didn't know her like say Nucleo or Amonee. Yet he felt safe going, perhaps foolishly so knowing his lusus was right there afterall.

Xavier's head tilted slightly however as she took his hand. The boys response was to clasp her hand in return, holding onto it. "Um...if it wouldn't be too much trouble..." Xavier glanced to the side just a bit. "That sounds nice! I can show yuh my hive tomorrow evening in return?" He offered, given she couldn't travel by daylight with him.

Finally with a nod, he gently squeezed her hand. "Sure. I'll go with yuh, you know the way I bet?" He replied with a friendly childish vigor as his lusus had approved. With that, the four of them walked along together.
