"Like sex?" Sunny cocked her head to the side. "I read a book once that compared fighting to sex. Dunno if it's really an apt comparison, I've fought a lot of people but sex isn't really in my wheelhouse."

"Like— h-huh?" Shiloh looked taken aback at the comment. Sunny speaking before like she was some weird sort of space alien was becoming more and more believable, what with all the weird s**t she was saying.
"I-I guess? It depends on the fighting, I dunno." he scuffed the pavement with his shoe as he thought through his words. In the moment of silence, he walked back towards the curb, taking a seat on it. "I mean, I guess with what I was aiming for, consent is sort of important, but... it's not like, intimate or anything, just... fightin'." he shrugged.
Then again there were a lot of similarities when he thought about it, and that perturbed him.
"I kinda like... comparing it more to a conversation. Like? Sometimes you got s**t you wanna say and there's just... no words for it, y'know?"

Sunny considered this. It made sense to consider it more of a conversation, apparently, because when she was done stroking a pretend beard that she didn't have, she nodded. "I get it," she said. "I'm sorry. Um, but..." She smiled, and offered Shiloh a hand. "If you ever wanna have a conversation and don't have words, you can call me. I'll even punch back next time."

Shiloh seemed taken aback by the response. Did she actually get it? Was she just saying that? Did she understand it in a far different way than he meant? Shiloh supposed he'd never know... at least, not until the next time they'd meet, if that ever happened.
Still, she was offering a hand down to him, and even though Shiloh had only just taken a seat, he took the hand and hauled himself back up. It was an uplifting feeling, actually, even if he wasn't sure about Sunny's actual understanding. After a moment of consideration, he leaned back down to pick up the jacket Sunny had left there at the start of their confrontation.
He held it out to her. "I'll pick a better spot than the ********' parking lot by Denny's." he laughed, scratching the back of his head. "And... thanks for the offer. You better ********' punch back next time though." he puffed his cheeks with solid determination, "I promise I can take it. Probably."
Probably not. That would be fine too.
