Aurostibite felt at home with his weapons. For something that had started off so simple and so useless, he had certainly come into his own with the tonfa. They were an extension of himself, and the weight of them in his hands were familiar, easy.
Aurostibite tilted his head to the side and regarded the senshi with an inscrutable expression on his face, keeping his tonfa where it was. But after a moment, his brows rose, an expression of mild amusement touching his lips, curving them very slightly up.
"My dear little lost senshi," said Aurostibite calmly.
"Whoever said anything about killing you?"

For a moment, a puzzled frown graced Cruithne's features. Well, if he wasn't subtly threatening to kill her, then what...? Then, all the color drained from her face as she scuttled back from him, crab-like.
"Oh no," she breathed. "I don't want that either. I saw enough of your kind of senshi in the dreams to tell me I don't ever want to be that. I want to be normal again, not a monster."
Besides, if the little she knew about corrupt senshi was true, becoming one was little to no guarantee that the dreams would leave her. In fact, with her luck, the dreams would be all she had left and then where would she be?

He saw her face pale in the moonlight and knew that she understood what he was saying. Aurostibite's own expression remained quite calm, the edge of the blade poised at the hollow of her throat, as though one wrong move would result in a single slice.
"We are not monsters," he said flatly, and the coldness was seeping into his voice now as he took a step closer to her. "We are the ones who take hold of what is rightfully ours. We are the ones who are protecting this world from the hands of those who would destroy it."
Another step, Aurostibite right in front of her now, dark hair billowing behind him..
"We are not the monsters," he whispered. "It is your kind that can be truly called such things, and you will never be normal again."

For a brief, shining moment, Cruithne felt a fiery rage within her heart. How dare this man accuse her of being a monster! She had never hurt anyone! Nor had any senshi that she knew of willingly loosed monsters on innocent people! Anger making her brave, she reached up and set her hand against the blade, intent on pushing it away.
"I," she spat, "am a healer. As such, I have never harmed anyone. And since your kind control things that even you can't classify as anything but monstrous, don't you dare try calling me a monster!"
Mentally, she judged the distance between herself and the edge of the roof. All she wanted now was to be away from this person who had started out as so soothing to speak with. He was anything but now and at least he'd helped her a little. Her anger at his accusations was doing a good job of holding the dreams at bay.kuropeco I suspect we can wrap this. XD And I am finding this supremely ironic given what I am gonna do to her.

He saw, for the first time, something other than a dreamy confusion in the senshi's eyes. Something was burning through her, bright and fiery, and Aurostibite felt his lips shift up into a hard smirk. The blade was pushed away, and he let it happen, feeling the cold fury wash off of her in waves so that it was almost a tangible thing.
"You protest too much to be anything but," he said coolly, his voice level and calm. He was not going to chase after her if she chose to run; Aurostibite was under the distinct impression that it would not be the last time he saw this senshi, though that might have been merely guesswork on his own side.
He would find her again, and he would show her how wrong she was.
"You will lose," Aurostibite said. "And you will remember what I have told you, the offer I extended to you now, and which will not come again. I offered you mercy, and you chose to reject it, so do not expect me to offer it once more, the next time you really need it."

"That doesn't even make sense," she hissed. How could protesting the terrible things he was saying about her make her a monster? Too much, it was all simply too much confusion and anger to deal with. And once confusion set in, the dreams were back.
Suddenly, the tall general was gone, replaced with visions and fire and panic and despair. Face turning paper white, she screamed as she rolled herself from the edge of the building, intent on escaping the horrors that plagued her. In her panic, the general was completely forgotten, as were his words.kuropeco Blargle. I am garbage and thought I'd already written her exit post. I am sorry.
