Giving up on confusion and settling directly into amusement, Orcus began to laugh helplessly as her hands were shaken. Did this girl ever slow down?
"I have a show to work on over the next few days," she said slowly. "Hence my sewing and repair work. And it will take me a little time to fix the shinai up for you."
Well, that was true enough. She wanted to be sure the thing was sound and that the bamboo was still in good condition. But she also wanted time to visit one of her faire friends since an idea was beginning to bubble in her brain.
"How does a week sound? We can meet back here, unless there's a place you'd prefer?"

"This place is good!" Nereid jumped up and down before hugging Orcus to her body. "It was like, really good to meet you! I really appreciate like...this cool friendship thing we're starting up!" Nereid nodded.
"I'd love to learn more about you and stuff too, so...I'll bring like lunch! Should we make a sign for when we should meet?"

Getting carefully to her feet, Orcus shook her head in amusement as Nereid began to jump up and down. In anyone else, she would have considered the actions to be way over the top. In Nereid, they just seemed par for the course.
And then, suddenly she found her face smooshed into the other girl's body as Nereid pulled her into a hug. Somewhere, slightly above her own head, she could dimly hear Nereid gushing and gave the tiniest, gentlest of pushes to disengage herself from the hug.
Feeling decidedly rumpled in mind and spirit and with a flush to her cheeks, Orcus did her best to appear cool and collected.
"Uhh, yes. Cool friendship. Lunch date, umm, I don't eat meat," she murmured, wondering if she sounded like a head trauma patient. It was time for her to get out of here so she could collect her thoughts and dignity. "Just... week from today at say, midnight-ish? I'll bring the practice sword with me."
Gathering her work bag up, she held it close and tight against her chest as she summoned a wobbly smile.
"I'll see you then, Nereid."
Almost as if the thought had just occured to her, which it had, Orcus paused and rooted through her work bag before drawing out a pair of tickets. Thrusting them into Nereid's hands, she began to babble as she back away and prepared to bolt.
"College theater always gives cast and crew comp tickets for opening night. I always end up with a pile of the damn things since I never have anyone to give 'em to. You take 'em. Date and time are printed on there. I'll... I'll see you later, Nereid!"
Nerves utterly shot from the unexpected hug, Orcus turned and darted off into the night.
Pixie Nyxie I think we can call this one done! Poor, flustered Orcus.

Nereid was super excited so the gentle push almost didn't engage in her mind that she should've let go, but ever so slowly she did and gave the smaller woman a very wide smile.
"Okay I'll see-" Her hands were suddenly full of tickets and she stared down at them, "Oh well, then I guess I'll go see this then!" Before she could ask the woman for her real identities name though, she was off and she was staring amused at the tickets.
"I mean, I guess I'll go by myself then??"DaisyMilk hee hee Orcus you're so cute. TAG FIN ON MY PART TOO YAY
