"I do like keeping you hot." He mused out loud, dragging his nails lightly over Lawr's back to give him a light back scratch, testing out a few times by pressing a bit harder but never enough to scratch.
"Aww. Don't be like that. There are plenty of innocent, pure potentials on this island already that constantly get targeted. Someone right for him might pop out of a pod any day now. You just have to make sure you don't get to them first." He said, shifting under Lawr as he pulled his hand out of his shirt and then gripped his shoulders to slide Lawr up against his chest as he reclined more into the corner of the couch to get more comfortable.
"Speaking of, is Rodney coming with you?"

Lawrence continued to bask in the attention but looked a little irate about the idea of someone perfect just popping out of the pod and taking Rodney away. "Fishing them out of pods is the only way to be sure that America doesn't get to them first." he said. "I deserve some friends don't I?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Yes, as far as I am aware he is, it will be nice to be able to give him a proper room which isn't simply a couch, I'm sure he'll appreciate it. He makes a very agreeable roommate all told."

"That's true. Maybe you should do more pod duties to corner the fresh friends market." He teased as he went to slipping his hand under Lawr's shirt and resuming his light scratching.
"Rodney needs more privacy. Between the two of us, I'm sure things get awkward enough and this couch has seen a bit too much for him to sleep on." He pointed out as he patted the furniture with his other hand before placing the stone on the armrest.
"A closed door would do wonders for him and you." He said with a smile at the blonde on his chest. "Last thing he needs is to walk on you after a shower." He had seen what Lawr got up too a few times to just be libido.

"I would if I was allowed." he said grimly. "But they are afraid I'm going to unplug them all for moths. Doesn't matter how much I tell them I won't, they refuse to believe me. I have to disguise myself to so much as get in. I woke Horace up you know, disguised as my brother. I think they may catch on if I do it too often though." He rubbed his cheek against Melvin's chest as he arched a little into the scratching.
"Yes, it's simply mm, not appropriate to have a guest sleeping on the couch so long." he said, before freezing at Melvin's last comment and outright blushing about his cheeks. "..Melvin." he said, somewhat scandalised. "That is just.. it is..that is.."

Melvin got a narrowed glare for forcing Lawr to continue wrestling with his discomfort on the topic, but it was not entirely malicious. "It is not." he said haughtily "I mean, that is not something I discuss. And he wouldn't. I'm not as lax as all that." Still, it was an oddly intimate thing to bring up and for just a moment he was rendered fallible and human in his weakness at having been found out by the other man at all.
Closing his eyes he buried his face against Melvin and muffled stated. "Look, I respect Rodney."

Smiling at that rate reaction, he reached with his other hand to pay his head. "im not saying you would. You seem to care for him a lot. I've just happened to notice what you do when he closes the bathroom door. There must be something at least to be said about it."

Lawr exhaled heavily, his face still turned against Melvin. "Why must you always be more observant than given credit for? It doesn't hurt anyone at least, it is a sensible alternative to harming people and far, far more convenient than trying to seduce other people into sex when you aren't around or interested. Less damaging with this illness..."
He looked up at Melvin again. "Look you aren't the only one fond of showers and what people do in them."

"Oh no. I can understand the principle appeal of a running shower and another occupant bathing nearby. I once had the small pleasure in doing the same when Horace was in a hotel shower though this was when we were friends and I wasn't with you. A sort of daydream more or less only on my side, but even then, it's not just the running water. There has to be at least some small thing that would drive your interest and spark it. So - what is it that isn't just water?" He let a finger move back and forth along the cove of his turned earlobe.
"It's not like id go gossiping about it." It wasn't like Lawr to get flustered over talking about sex.

It was both a good and a bad thing to have Melvin understand the diversion of a running shower, good in that someone actually understood where he was coming from, bad in that it was a distinctly embarrassing conversation about personal weakness and a lack of self control.
He took a slow deep breath and exhaled. "The fact that he knows." he said. "It's an agreement of sorts, he indulges me without being harmed, touched or degraded and it helps me keep things in check. And I get to know or at least suspect what goes on in there."
He sighed. "Please don't embarrass him about it. He is helping me deal with this libido thing without murder when you aren't humanly able to be around for me."

"I wouldn't do that. I don't see the point in hurting what you two have and making things difficult. But I do have to ask now. Does he know what you are doing or - well you mentioned he was helping. Makes it seem this is a arrangement between you both. Am I wrong?"

Lawrence wasn't all that keen on the implication that Rodney had entered into some sort of seedy pact and shook his head. "Sort of." he said "He knows what I am doing, yes, but he is a good and pure person who is simply indulging a sinner. He's not perverse or even overly sexual. It is just a passive tolerance of my weakness until I overcome it and step into perfection."
He moved to sit up and straddle Melvin's hips, knees on the couch. "So you aren't wrong, you just aren't one hundred percent right either."

"I just wonder. He is a very helpful person but I don't know him that well at all. I guess I'd just think he would have been....I guess flustered at the idea? I mean he is still a man and human after all and might have his own needs or just be a very good friend. I suppose he wouldn't agree to anything he wouldn't be okay with, and you do seem resoectful of him. We are in rather dire situations to always want and want physically now. I guess I'm a bit jealous I have no one offering me an alternative outlet."
He set his hands on Lawr's hips, thumbs rubbing the groove of his hip bones before dragging one up his stomach. "Kind people like Rodney worry me in a place like this. I hope he is alright here. It makes me want to protect him. Are you too close? He said he likes that you two both have similar interests."

Lawrence seemed somewhat distressed at the prospect of Melvin hunting out an alternative outlet, immediately beginning to regret this honesty thing if it was going to mean losing his monopoly on the other man. He deliberately pressed his weight insistently on Melvin's hips. "Oh don't be jealous." he said. "It's all mostly in my head. He isn't doing anything he isn't comfortable with either I just wouldn't have that at all."
"And yes, we do have similar interests." he said. "When it comes to the arts, culture and general tastes. Less so when it comes to things like sin." And on the word sin he reached up to drag his own nails across Melvin's chest, less cautious and gentle than the other man had been, thanks to his weapon sporting no small degree of muscle strength in his arms. He smirked.
"We can both protect him."

Melvin breathed in sharply at the raking of nails over his chest and glanced.
"Speaking of sins and Rodney, he is ....gone for how long?" The conversation was harder to hold as other distractions took the forefront.
