Jet was hitting really hard and Pyro ground his teeth. He wouldn't use magic, he would not stoop to spewing gas at the other captain. He would be a good little snake boy.
The blunt force of Jets daggers hit him and he groaned. "Goddamn it Jet, Are you part youma or something or is your blades powered by pure fury..."
And then Pyro snorted. "Oh s**t that's funny. Blades of Fury, isn't that a will Farrell movie." Her huffed and the lunged again, aiming for Jets shoulder.

Pyro was holding back. He had to be. Jet, who was typically not that great at fighting, seemed to be doing decently in this fight. Pyro was pulling his punches. That was the only explanation he had that made sense. He’d asked Jet to let him know if he was hitting too hard at the beginning.
“No, I’m not,” he hissed, recoiling back when his shoulder was hit. He was surely going to have a bruise there in the morning. He was going to have a lot of bruises, but thankfully Pyro had not done much to draw blood. At least not yet.
Jet had no idea what movie he was referring to, so he made no comment, and instead attacked again, but the recent hit to his shoulder had him stumbling, and he was sure he wasn’t able to make contact like he wanted.

There was no way Pyro was gonna win this. Jet was just way too strong and probably well adapted to dealing with people of his kind and it just was infuriating.
While he saw the man as equal, a small part of him wondered why being half youma didn't actually give him a small boost? Where was that new strength at?
He tackled Jet again, trying to take the young man down.

Jet let out a yelp when he was tackled, being knocked to the ground. Perhaps now the other Captain would finally start fighting. Which was really all Jet wanted - an equal fight. He knew for a fact that he was not all that strong and often got his butt kicked by senshi and knights alike, so for Pyro to hold back was pretty insulting.
In the process of being tackled, he dropped his knives, and tried throwing a poorly aimed punch in Pyro’s direction, more trying to get back to his feet than really land a solid hit.

It was turning into a real grappling match now and Pyro was thankful that the weapons had disappeared because he much preferred Jet's punches rather then the blunt force of steel.
"Goddamn it Jet." He said it mostly to the warm blob that he was fighting with and kind of upset because his real urge, thanks to the snake, was to curl around the young man and absorb his heat.
All of the heat.

Jet was having a harder time than he expected getting out of the other’s grasp, and being so close to him now made it easier to see the snake-like scales all along his face. For the first time during the fight, he actually felt the color leave his face instead of darken it.
He didn’t know why, but suddenly he was overcome with the overwhelming desire to get away from the other Captain. Something about his grip on him just wasn’t right, which made it even more obvious that he must be holding back.
With a panicked flail, Jet kicked out at the other, trying to scramble away, although even once he freed himself, he was still on the ground. His eyes wide as he stared at the other, breathing heavily and trying to catch his breath.
Being around Cinnabar took the edge off being around half-youma, but that strange gleam in Pyro’s eyes had him suddenly concerned for his own safety.

Pyro's grip only managed to tighten a little bit before Jet delivered the finishing blow and he was curling away.
"Ow Ow Ow Ow." Pyro curled up hissed. "Owwwwwwwwww. Jesus, you could've just pushed a bit." He groaned and looked over, noticing the look and fear in Jet's eyes. His gaze fell down and then he looked away.
"good win or whatever." he hissed and then tried to push himself up and away. "Sorry or whatever."

"I wasn't holding back on you, you d**k." Pyro took the hand, pulling himself up and staring at the other captain.
"I ain't got a lot of control over this or whatever, and I don't have a weapon. Just some gas that paralyzes the limbs or whatever. I ain't about to use that on a friend." He huffed, "Also sorry for like..hugging you back at the end. I just get this weird urge when I'm against something warm. Like you know, squeeze all the heat and stuff..." It probably sounded more creepy then the man had intended, but there it was.
"Rematch, sure. Next time, I'll be the winner." His gaze lifted up to the blobs of heat in the stands and the more gangly form of them all before nodding. "Gonna go get my BFF and stuff, introduce me to your general sometime. Half youma's don't meet often."

The half youma had done well, but it was Jet who had come out on top, and it was with a mixture of amusement and mild exasperation that had Aurostibite stepping forward. He gave a nod to them both, and said, "Well done. There are water and bandages for any injuries over in the corner, should you have need of it. As for you..."
He arched a brow at Jet, but simply said, "The next round will begin shortly."
