Looking into her eyes he sees something so he gives her time while he lets it sink in that he has a new friend. Ever since he started the journey with Sleet he's meet a lot of new acquaintance as well as a few new friends. When Eternal Sonata elegantly moves closer to him he's not sure what's going on at first. So when she leans against him a calm and joyful feeling washing over him as he realizes that she's showing how she feels about them being friends. His mind swirls with thoughts of how he can show Eternal Sonata how grateful he feels to have her as a friend. Before he can do anything she thanks him in a soft whisper so he whispers back, "Your welcome Eternal Sonata, and thank you for being my friend."
While she moves away from him thoughts swirl in his mind and before he can think too deeply about them her voice catches his attention. Giving her his full attention he smiles and then replies, "Yes, at least Esperenza, Sleet, and I think so. If I feel like the item will bring others that see it happiness of some kind I leave it where it is. Whenever I do take something home with me it's something that others might find ordinary which I find extraordinary. So I hope that the others that find any of the items will also leave them where they are. That way the beauty can be shared with everyone that finds them." He takes the time to lower his head to look into the water as well to see what she sees. When her gaze falls upon him he looks smiling until he hears the question. Then his mind fills with so many unhappy thoughts and before his smile fades competently he explains, "We journey to places that Sleet visited with his Parents when he was much younger and or places his Parents have been. The reason is because we are trying to find some sort of clue as to what happened to them. For some reason his Parents just vanished and he wants to find out what happened to them. So the closer we get to the end of our journey the more my worry grows about what we may or may not find. By now I hope that we either find them alive or we don't find them at all. If we don't find them at all there could still be a slight chance that they are alive."

 Her ears flicked as she listened carefully to his story. The soft worry in her words revealed she was already considering the position Sleet and Yukio Beck found themselves in. "That sounds like quite the quest and a long one at that." She couldn't begin to fathom not knowing her mother and constantly being in search of her. Her mother was her world and to think that someone out there did not know that feeling she held in her heart was enough to make her frown.
She had to shake her head a bit to free herself from such concern and restore her focus to her friend. The horned mare lifted her head away from the water's edge to get a better view. Her eyes now focused on his mouth in particular. Did talking about such things bring him something unpleasant? This little talk seemed to be taking a darker turn and that was something she felt bad about for digging up. Her gaze shifted off to the side as she gave careful consideration before returning her stare to Yukio. Perhaps a shift in conversation would return his smile. "What are your parents like, Sir MIsae?"
Another question popped up from the depths of her own question and already spilled out before she even gave him time to really answer the first. "May I ask how it is you've come to travel and know Sleet?" It sounded like they were not initially together from birth but one could never be too certain without making the proper inquiry.WC: 257

With a nod of his head, "Yes, it does sound like it'll be a long quest because there are so many places we have to search. While getting to each individual place seems to be taking longer than Sleet first thought. Of course I don't mind since I'm more than happy to take that time to help him as much as I can. By the time we reach the end I'll be ready to return home to see my Mother." Thinking about her cheers him up because he'll have a lot to tell her once he returns as well as a lot to show her. Sleet isn't the best teacher when it comes to flying. Though, they were learning a lot while they were traveling together. Of course he knows that once he meets up with Sleet they will have a lot to talk about since they both would have meet plenty of others before they reach one of their destinations.
Her head shaking catches his attention so he gives her all of his attention to see that she seems to be doing the same. Once he realizes she's focused on his mouth he smiles trying to show her that he's thinking of happier thoughts. Because no matter how dark certain topics might take there is always something cheerful to think about sooner or later. Though her gaze moved away leaving him worried about how she feels about digging up such dark thoughts. Once she looks back at him he jerks his head back in shock while his wings fluff up. His ears go back as he gives a sort of awkward smile in return to the question. "My Parents, well I haven't gotten around to meeting them just yet, though, that's probably because Esperenza found me one day and took me home. While I was growing up she often took me certain places to teach me all that she knew. So we weren't always home which means even if someone did find our home it doesn't mean that they would have find us." While he continues to calm down he smiles a bit, "After I had grown up it didn't take long to meet Sleet during a cold Winter's night. We spent the time practicing for our own little air shows and during that time we bounded with each other. Once we finished our air shows we were pretty cold so Mother and I invited him to stay in our home for the night. When we learned about his past and how his Parents went missing we knew that I had to help him find them."

"You are very kind to Sleet, traveling with him like that." His smile caused her own concern to ease away once again. At least he wasn't saddened anymore right? That is of course until she foolishly misstepped and asked about his parents. Initially, her eyes widened at the fluff up his wings. Little things like this drew in her attention and drummed up her curiosity. His mane had been so distracting and their talks so lovely she had completely neglected to admire his wings!
However his words caused her visibly to flinch when he mentioned meeting those parents. How could she drag up another painful memory so quickly!? She internally chastised herself and made note to be more careful about what she inquired. The mare was slowly beginning to wonder if all the soq he met were this socially awkward or so careless with their words. How could she keep his friendship if she kept hurting him like this? Sheepish yellow eyes glanced at his mouth again and was perplexed by his smile. How could he smile after admitting to something so painful? To Eternal Sonata, Yukio Beck was proving himself to be much stronger emotionally than she initially thought.
The regaling tale of how he came to know Sleet caused her expression to light up. That was the perfect way to steer clear of all sad or hard tales! "Sir Misae, do you enjoy flying?" She beamed with delight. "What was it like to learn?" Her tail flicked as she pawed at the ground a bit to help continue to ease her concern of asking the wrong questions. Her hoof clicked on something and she glanced away to see a lovely shiny pebble had broken free from the rockbed of the stream and sought freedom of the land. Carefully she pushed the pretty green stone over to Yukio and smiled brightly. It was an offering without unnecessary words.WC: 319

Smiling he bows his head to her for replying, "Thank you, I try to be kind to everyone that I know." Once her eye widens he wonders if it's because of something he said or his still fluffy wings. He often worries about he says in case it does upset the other. While he also knows that it can be easy to become so distracted with one thing that you don't see another. So he can understand if she didn't notice his wings because his mane often draws in a good amount of attention.
When she flinches he wants to comfort her because she didn't know that he hadn't meet his Parents just yet. Though, once he's returned home he plans on looking for them so that he can meet them. He's not sure what it'll be like to meet them, though, he knows that he wants to meet them and get to know them. Before he can think too deeply about finally meeting his Family he noticed her glancing at his mouth. Causing him to internally worry if she's worried about the questions she's asking him. While he keeps his worries to himself while still smiling not wishing to upset her further. Since he said if any question was something he wasn't comfortable with answering he would tell her.
Before he can remind her she asks him another question so he smiles brightly before answering, "Why yes, I enjoy flying and I could possibly go as far as to say I love flying. Though, I love flying more when I can fly with another or I can preform in the sky for others. I'm not the best and neither is Sleet, though, we get better each time we preform. So learning from Sleet was amazing because we bought taught each other what we already knew and learned what we didn't." When she flicks her tail and paws at the ground he's not sure what's going on and hopes everything is alright. Then he hears a click and looks down to see what her hoof hit. Carefully watching as she pushes the shinny green pebble towards him. Smiling up at Eternal Sonata he replies while one of his tentacles picks the pebble up while the others slowly uncoil from around his neck, "Thank you, it's a lovely pebble and one I shall cherish because whenever I look at it I will be able to remember this day. Once my journey is over and I had time to spend with my Mother I will return to tell you how it went."
All of a sudden his wings fluff up to twice their size since a memory came to his mind about someone he meet while staring at Eternal Sonata a certain way he explains, "When Sleet and I first went our separate ways I meet my Aunt Aurelia. Which reminds me that Sleet first found my Basket and then he found Esperenza to give my Basket to for safe keeping. So without his help I never would have meet Esperenza." After nodding his head a bit he looks at the ground where he started pawing at it while the memory plays in his mind. He was happy to meet someone that was related to him by blood and was glad that it went so well after the rough start.
