"I understand you want to save him, but you're no good to him getting yourself killed. You're better off having help. And we will do just that. Because he's our family too. I may not have known your mother, but we all owe her a lot for her sacrifice."
Delilah clenched her teeth beneath the face mask that Michael had given her during her time here at the renegade base. She had listened long enough, she couldn't help her curiosity to enter the conversation. She stood up and jumped down to the ground softly, walking up to them. "..i... i knew h-her.... and l-lucian was not t-the favorite...." she spoke up, her voice didn't seem nervous though her stutter was apparent. "I...a-admire your d-determination t-to help him... b-but Zaku is r-right..." she shifted her bright green eyes away for a moment. "....i w-wish i could h-help... i w-want to help... but I w-will likely o-only make things w-worse..." she sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before looking at both of them.
"Delilah... so you're the girl Blaise saved.. the one that's been staying with Michael.."
"Y-yes.."

Moira was about to speak after Zaku had mentioned that it was no good getting herself killed, as she had pretty much been rather fine with the line of thought that came with it. Though, as another voice piped up, fragile and stuttering, she quickly turned to look at the strange meta that she had seen during the events of Parley, the one that Criel had mocked. Tilting her head a bit as the shorter meta spoke, more so of Lucian not being the favorite, then on about how she wanted to help, Moira just took a moment to collect her thoughts on what was just said. Bringing her hand up in the motion for 'hold on/one moment', she brought the hand up to her forehead to think. " Hold on now.. I have two questions - one being, who are you," she had been so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she didn't hear Zaku mention the name, "and how...why.. Lucian wasn't the favorite? I always...thought he was.. he got to spend the most time with them..." Moira had to stop herself from going off on a painful tangent, one that would remind her fully of the past where she would constantly be left alone. It was one she didn't want to visit just yet.

She paused as Moira signaled her to hold. The questions. They were simple, and an honest foresight that she hadn't addressed them first and foremost. "S-sorry... M-my name is Delilah B-broken... t-technically... I'd be y-your aunt...." she sighed. "I w-was adopt b-by Daemin a v-very long t-time ago... though it w-was short l-lived." she explained, her face showing her apathy over the insinuation the she had been abandoned by her original father. "As for.. w-why Lucy i-isn't the f-favorite... S-she told m-me... N-not directly.." she blinked for a moment trying to find a better way to explain it. "Wh-when you were b-both still k-kids,... R-rasiel t-took us... L-lucian, Kira, and even A-alice. She w-wasn't well and h-he thought he could f-fix her. But h-he was a-always busy d-dealing with Andy's selfish a-actions to d-do much f-for her. So I found s-solace in spending m-most of my time w-with Alice myself. She c-could never really h-hold the n-names of her family... b-but she always r-remembered one n-name. Moira. So if there w-was a f-favorite, it w-wasn't Lucy." she closed her eyes. "I w-was told that h-he was separated f-from his siblings t-to protect them. H-he c-couldn't control h-his powers and a-already hurt one s-sister... w-which I assume w-wasn't you." she opened her eyes to look at Moira with sincerity. Delilah had been close to Alice for a time, and the memory of her death still stung deep in her heart as she folded her hands in front of her and began to idly wring her hands a bit, trying to keep her emotions steady.

As Delilah spoke, she stood there and listened, though as her own name was mentioned, more so to possibly be the favorite, she looked from the others face to the ground. "W-why would she...remember my name?" She asked, soon having to sit back down, placing her head in her hand to think. This was a lot of information all at once, more so about hearing more information about why so many adults in her life had gone missing. "This..I.." she started, soon stopping. Taking in a breath then letting it out, she closed her eyes, "No one told me anything.. they never told me anything at all.. I didn't...they..." she sat there, trying to sort her thoughts.

Zaku merely watched as they talk, only looking away with a flicker of deep sadness as Delilah mentioned Rasiel.
"It's l-likely something she t-tried very hard to r-remember for s-some reason... I was n-never sure." she sighed, trying to speak as sympathetically as possible. She was always fairly bad at social interactions, especially since spending 20 years alone. "I don't k-know why they d-didn't tell y-you. But it was l-likely because w-we were all s-still kids b-back then. Rasiel th-thought she could g-get better, and she d-did after a l-long time. The w-week we returned... Is the s-same week she d-died. It w-was an unfortunate o-occurence that I h-had the u-unlucky opportunity to w-witness the a-aftermath of."

Bringing her hand up to her face, Moira let out a sigh as Delilah finished talking, all of her emotions now a roiling pit of confusion and despair. "It still.....they should have told me. I'm just now being told about this, about how my own mother who for the longest time I thought was a horrible parent for leaving me pretty much alone, as my other mother didn't do much either, was apparently very sick.." she paused, trying to let her thoughts catch up. It was difficult, having to deal with this now. "I had turned into an awful kid because of the lack of attention - I threatened to run away three times, did so twice, I called Alice a horrible parent...Syth...she," Moira let out another sigh, now running her hand through her mess of pink hair, "She didn't help much either... she said that they were overwhelmed by the four of us, but they had the two of them, Kae, and technically Rasiel - and a boat load of other metas that I only met because I kept sneaking out of the house when no one bothered to pay attention."
Slowly moving her knees to press them against her chest, she rested her chin on her knees, "I feel like absolute a**, thinking about the last things I said to my own mother..I want to say sorry, but that's sort of a moot point now that she's ******** dead." She poked at the ground with her index finger as she spoke, looking rather upset that she could never apologize for how much of a shitty kid she was, "It's because of what I said to her last that I don't believe that I was the favorite child. I was awful, sneaking away, trying to run away, just trying to do anything to meet people..hell, that's how I met my Husband..." and with that, she fell silent, looking rather tired and upset.

Zaku frowned, staring at the ground, Moira's words only brought upon his own heartache. He had also been an unruly child growing up. He had good intentions but he was reckless and hard-headed. Traits that would ultimately end in her demise. He sighed and closed his eyes, not able to muster a single comment. For once, he couldn't say anything, as he remained silent.
Delilah listened to Moira's story of her relationship with Alice, as she tried not to tie in her own feelings into the matter. She brought a hand up to clutch her shirt over her heart reflexively. "I d-doubt they m-meant harm b-by not t-telling you... a l-lot happened... " she tried to justify her actions, not for Moira's sake, no, for Delilah's own peace of mind to hold back her anger about it all. It wasn't like she had parents around either. Sure, Rasiel and Andy had adopted her, but they were constantly fighting they never noticed that she had even runaway a few times herself, only to be found by Lucian later on with the dust settled. Delilah felt a lot of things, a reflection into her own experiences, her doubt, her anger, and her sadness. She took a deep breath to try to stablize all those emotions before she lost control again. Though, the memories she had of her time spent with Alice in her madness, she closed her eyes and just took a few steps back preemptively as her skin was getting darker. Moira regretted it, she was just a kid.
"...maybe s-she remembered y-you because s-she regretted not b-being there f-for you.... m-maybe that's why s-she tried to s-save us..." she frowned, eyes still closed, "...m-maybe th-that's why s-she sacrificed h-herself.. in her o-own regre-..." she paused suddenly, her eyes opening suddenly in surprise as she covered her mouth as she suddenly realized something. "..oh m-my gods... it's a-alice.." Her eyes darted to Moira suddenly, "m-melody.. h-her m-mane.." she forced out before hesitating, seeing her skin only grow darker and darker. She tensed up and exhaled shakily, "i-i'm s-sorry." without another word, she turned to run as far away from the house as she could, tears already staining her face as she desperately tried to get as far as she could.
Zaku had opened his eyes, a flicker of alarm on his face as he watched Delilah's skin turn black and she ran away. "Delilah!" he called out, but she wasn't stopping. He looked to Moira with concern, debating whether he should go after her or not. He didn't know anything about Delilah and had no idea what was happening to her.

As Delilah spoke, the pink-haired meta just continued to look down at the ground, though as she continued, the intense guilt she had already continued to build up. 'Maybe that's why she sacrificed herself, in her own regret', the words stung like a sword straight through the heart. Moira hadn't even considered that she might have been the reason why her mother had sacrificed herself, but now that the thought was there, she regretted every single moment that she had shouted, screamed, or ran away.
Looking up when Delilah went from a somber tone to one that was clearly surprised, Moira's eyes went wide as she watched the other girl run off, Zaku now stuck in trying to figure out what to do. Taking in a shaky breath, she pressed her face to her knees, "Let her be...she might..need time alone as well," and with that, she lifted up her hand, balling it into a fist as it was raised to the height it could be, causing a tomb of rock to surround her, soon sinking her into the earth a bit [Earth Manipulation]. Once she had figured that it was either sound-proof or would dampen most of the sound that would be done, she took in a deep breath and began screaming as the tears ran down her face without hesitation.

He frowned and opened his mouth to say something but she was already forming rocks around her. '..I guess you do to...'
He sighed, coming to a stand and shoving his hands into his pockets. His own memories and thoughts about a certain ex and an enemy that reminded him of him, weighing heavily on his mind. Instead of walk I back towards the house, he walked away from it and towards the city. He just needed time to think on his own, as he just continued on in silence.
