Once they arrived to the little cafe, Shun took a look around to get a feel for his surroundings. It seemed nice enough.
"No." he told her, as he seated himself and stared down at the menu placed before him. With a sigh, he just tried to see what foodthings had pictures first, before trying to bunker down to read some of his choices. All the while, he was grumbling under his breath.

Chel nudged Shun with the side of her foot. "What you mutterin' about? At least speak up loud enough for the peanut gallery."
Or you know, to actually hold a normal human conversation.

"Nothing of importance," Shun commented while keeping his eyes on the menu. Well, he had a rough idea of what he wanted to order.
"Nothing that needs any side commentary, i n any case."
Once he was more or less certain of what he wanted, he set his menu down, then stared out the window.

A waiter came by and asked for their drinks. Chel got lemonade.
"You were bitchin' 'bout me," Chel muttered and put her menu back up. If he was going to be sour, she could certainly provide a rebuttal.

"There is no such evidence of that," he muttered in return. Shun told the waiter he was fine with just water.

"You think when we're eighty yer still gonna do that?" she asked, leaning forward with her nose poking up from her menu. "Or you think yer gonna look back and laugh?"

"Me," he replied dryly. With a huff, he waited for the waiter to come by. In which he ordered a cup of soup, along with some sort of chicken wrap thing.

Chel let the subject lie for the time being. She'd never really didn't met anyone who didn't laugh at all, but if anyone was going to be the first person it would certainly be Shun.
Chel ordered a veggie sandwich with a side of steak fries. "So any news on that one lady I told you about?"

With a grunt, Shun leaned back in his seat and folded his arms over his chest.
"Some so-called Psychic is supposed to be living up in those cliffs. The Dark Lady, she is referred to as. What a load of bullshit."

"Dark Lady huh? Sounds kinda lonely," Chel commented. Living alone on the cliffs, psychic powers? It just sounded isolating to Chel.
