Chel was going to open her mouth and explain that her playlist was almost entirely Nicki Minaj and Beyonce but then remembered who exactly she was talking to and said, "I haaave a rock list? Alternative 80s and 90s? Cinderella and s**t?"

Pausing in his actions, he shook out his wrists and steadied the bag.

Chel was actually surprised she had made it this far and that her head was not being punched off. She approached the set of iphone speakers and pressed a button, somewhat pleased to find that she and Shun actually had something in common.
Then she returned to her punching bag and tried to copy him as best she could.

Once the music kicked in, he was right back into the thick of it. The intensity of his movements had increased from before. Shun struck the bag harder and more swiftly than from what he had been doing in his little warm-up session.
He didn't quite stay in one spot either. Now and then, he'd shift to the side, bringing up his guard, as if trying to flank an actual target. A swinging bag was hardly proper substitution for an actual person, but he was trying to emulate as much as possible. Muscle memory applied to the whole body after all.
It wasn't just punches he threw either. Some elbow strikes, knees, and straight up kicks were tossed into the mix.

Chel was surprisingly quiet through the entire thing. She didn't attempt any of his fancy knees or elbow strikes but she did at least try to shake the awkwardness that came from trying something new for the first time.
"Yer really into this," she commented after a while when she paused to take a drink of water.

After awhile, Shun had to pause to take a short break as well. Grabbing his own water bottle, he shot Chel a glance and a shrug.
"Is that a bad thing?"

Once he felt loosened up again, he was right back at it with the punching bag.

"That's the most jedi thing you ever said," she told him, nodding sagely. "But why you need t'stay sharp?"
The whole "cop" thing yes but Chel knew plenty of cops that didn't train themselves like Shun was doing now.

Chel chuckled at that. The image of Shun with donuts was actually kind of cute.
"D'you ever fight with other cop bros?" she asked him.

"Y'know. Fisticuffs an' s**t." She brought up her fists and took a few jabs at the air to demonstrate.
Mostly she just wanted to watch some cool cop fights.
