"There's enough," he said softly to the other, "there's more than I deserve."
He opened his eyes and looked up at Lucas, leaning in for a slow kiss that burned, that splintered with emotion and the need to be closer - closer. Closer than they were even now, close in a way that no war could come between. He wanted to wrap himself up against the other man (and their missing third half) and let it consume him.
He wanted the world to end so that this - only this - could stay.
He let his hands come to rest against Lucas, thumbing his pulse and letting himself lean closer to the warmth. Their lips brushed and Lucas sang the rest of the song to him, but it felt too heavy to be a silly love note. It felt strange and filled with unspoken things. Things neither of them could say out loud. Thorne inhaled, a deep, shuddering breath.
"Yes, well, I suppose we'll have to work on that third part," he said softly in relation to Rylan.
He leaned back just enough to look at Lucas, at the smile that didn't reach his eyes. He thumbed over the others lower lip, the traces of his mouth on the others neck where dark bruises formed.
"Now who's the cheater? I can play that game too." He asked softly, and leaned forward, hiding his face against the crook of Lucas's collarbone, lips ghosting over his neck. He hummed a soft note, and whispered the words against the others skin.
"If scars are for the living, then I could be forgiven. And everything you need, I could give you..." He laughed, a helpless, tiny sound, the lyrics soft in his throat, barely above a whisper. "Tell me you care, I'm taking you there..."
