Regan was still as hard to read as ever, Fritz knew; but he also knew there was one thing that she had had difficulty concealing. Her obvious respect and affection for the bikes was something that was written all over her face and body language, no matter how hard she might have tried to hide this fact.
Rhys was standing nervously beside his bike, looking uncertain - a default expression for him, even dressed in his riding gear consisting of a lot of black leather and silver fastenings. He had not gotten out much since becoming Rhys instead of Tolliver, but at least he wasn't holed up in his room like Fritz had been during his hardships.
After a second's hesitation, Rhys's hand extended to Regan's offered one, and he gave it a little shake.
"J-just a tune up is fine," he said, and Fritz gave his brother's shoulder a little squeeze of reassurance. It hadn't taken much convincing to have him bring the bike here; when Rhys had mentioned needing to get it looked at, Fritz had leapt at the idea of Regan's shop.
"I do race," said Rhys, smiling slightly, however tentative it was. "I think the front wheel just is a tiny bit out of alignment, so fixing that will help, I believe."
"You good to get home?" Fritz asked him, and Rhys gave a nod, his cheeks flushing. "Logan came with me; he's outside waiting for me," he mumbled, looking somewhat flustered, and Fritz's grin stretched further across his face, teasing in nature.
"All right, I think we're good here," he said, patting Rhys's shoulder again. "Go meet your man, I'll take you guys out for dinner later, I can handle the rest here."
Rhys gave a nod, still blushing furiously, then turned to Regan and said softly, "T-thank you, by the way."
As he made his way hastily towards the door, the tapping of his cane echoing in the large shop, Fritz turned back to Regan.
"So?" he asked, smiling as he gestured at the bike. "What do you think? It's beautiful, right?"

"Tune up, I can write up the bill for you once I finish." She bent down to look at the front wheel where he mentioned the small tweak, and could see the alignment issue. It'd be a easy fix but if he was racing, she was going to make sure that his bike was in top condition anyways.
"I'll make sure you'll leave them in the dust." Though she knew that Chase was the best, any racer that brought their bikes in would be a pride and joy for her to fix. It was about her ego here.
She zoned in on the bike while the brothers talked, watching as Rhys left. Logan hmm? It seemed odd to see a replicate of Fritz, a little bit meeker, interested in men, but that was also because she wasn't used to that sort of world. Romance, of any gender, was out of her scope it seemed.
"It is." She didn't ask about Rhys injury, though she was curious to know why his brother needed a cane to walk. But she would file that note away for his bike, because if one leg was a bit weaker, she could adjust the bike's gear shifts to better suit the young man as well. She would do it almost quietly if she could.
"Its amazing." She stood up, "Your brother takes very good care of it. It'll only need some minor adjustments and touch ups, but I won't know for sure until I get my hands fully into it." She waited.
"You remembered." She added, at the end. "I didn't think you would. Especially with..." She looked at his brace, and then away. "Our situation."

Fritz stuck his hand in his pocket, walking in a slow circle around Regan and Rhys's bike. It really was a thing of beauty; a gift to his brother from their parents when he had first started riding, and he had won all sorts of awards before the accident. That had been years ago; it felt like such a long time.
"It's his pride and joy," said Fritz with a smile, glancing over at Regan as she examined every inch of the bike. "He hasn't ridden in a long time because of his leg, but he recently picked it up again, and it's like he never fell off the first time. He loves it."
The bike was an extension of Rhys just as much as a paintbrush was an extension of Fritz. He cast Regan a slightly amused look, laughing lightly.
"I remember a lot of things," he said, and his fingers fluttered in the brace, an absentminded gesture. "Sometimes too many things, but it makes at least for good conversational topics."

She rose from her spot on the ground, where she had been looking at the bike and then coming over to Fritz, standing very close into his space. Her face tipped up, studying his more carefully.
With more curiosity than she normally exuded with the man.
"Often, more then not, we never lose the ability to do what we love the most." She added, "Your brother, I will make sure his bike runs as smoothly as it did before his injury. He will never hurt." She didn't move much from the space for a minute more before stepping away. It was her way, she thought, of assuring the older twin that she would care for his brother like she cared for him.
Cared for him? That was a conflicting feeling.
"Yes, you seem to have a great deal many things to share." She looked over her shoulder, "One must never get bored in your company, no?"

He watched her curiously as she rose, head tilted to the side as she came towards him. Fritz felt a peculiar fluttering sensation low in his stomach - she was too close like this, her expression as neutral as ever as she regarded him calmly.
Except there was something deeper in her look, something he couldn't quite read.
Fritz's mouth opened and then closed again, Regan's words washing over him. His eyes had widened for a few seconds, and the his expression softened, and just before she turned, he reached out, his fingers closing gently around her upper arm.
"Thank you, Regan," he said quietly.
He let go and let out a laugh as she looked back at him, Fritz smiling down at her.
"I would surely hope not," he said lightly, a small bit of mischief in his voice as he added, "If you need more things to share, I can read you more from my book."
