"Is... that really possible?" It sounded like such a foreign idea. Making friends felt impossible, even if a large part of that was rooted in his own anxiety and not how others perceived him. Still, he took the card anyway and he pulled out his phone to type in Equinox so he wouldn't forget the name. Even if all of this was hard to believe, the thought that he wasn't alone was a comforting one. "What about you...? Will I, um, be able to talk to you again?"

Being alone with his thoughts already felt like a daunting task, but at least he had the comfort of the tide pools and at least he had Lady's promise that he wouldn't be alone forever. Jamie silently hoped that he'd see her again soon. It was okay to wish for that, right?
"Okay," he said with a small nod. There was a smile on his face, barely there and kind of sad, but he was trying. "Thank you... Bye, Lady."
