"Would have to have a home to need odd jobs, yeah?" Preacher snorted. She was firmly on the tent brigade for now.

"Annnnyway, get ya a** back in your car or somethin'. I can't believe you're not a cat person." She shook her head in joking disgust. "I gotta get back - make sure my stuff ain't been stolen. Catch ya round, though." Preacher waved and grinned at Dawson. He didn't seem so bad.

"See ya..." He waved back out of instinct, but in truth the whole meeting felt a bit bizarre to him still. Not to the same degree as the ones he'd soon encounter, but a bit surreal nonetheless to find another homeless gal in the middle of a neighborhood.

Speaking of. Dawson shut his van closed and quickly hopped back into the driver's seat. He probably ought to get out of there before someone else got too curious.
