Tri turned toward the door and tensed listening to running footsteps and soft muffled voices. He stared in apprehension at the door while trying to pull at the shadows near him but nothing came, not even his own shadow twitched in response. That disturbed him more than he thought it would, having been connected with it since he was a child. He knew he controlled it but when he was tired he assumed his own subconscious took over, comforting him when he had a really bad day when he could not go and talk to Mara. Mara....
Wings tensed then relaxed as Zaku came back in with a plate of homemade bread? Bread.....He looked out the window then back at Zaku and looked very closely until the muse went behind him and started untying his hand. Were they all utterly insane?!
Grimacing he pulled his hands forward again, rubbing at his wrist at the pins and needles feeling while staring in shock at Zaku. He didn't even try to hide it as he stared at the smiling pink hair idiot. Reminded suddenly of someone similar to him, in also a similar situation.Healing.... that is what he forgot Zaku had healing and he healed Hexxis...damn it.
He focused on the Muse's injury wondering why he hadn't healed it already before glancing at the sleeping meta, the window and finally back toward the door.
If he managed to incapacitate Zaku without him miraculously warning the sleeping meta or the people outside the door he would still have to deal with them as he made his way out... with no powers while they would likely use theirs with no qualm.
Not a very good plan. With a sigh he looked down at the bread offered, sniffing the air thick with the rich aroma "You're crazy" he muttered moving to take one against his better judgment and stopping, cookies. Pulling his hand away reluctantly he just went back to rubbing his wrist before trying to pull the rope off his wings.

Zaku couldn't help but laugh at the remark, finding it genuinely funny. "Maybe I am crazy.. or maybe I just see things differently than everyone else... it's what make me.. me." he replied with a soft smile, watching him reach for the bread then pull away. He frowned, taking only a moment to figure out why. He stood up with the plate and moved toward Cordelia, as he approached, she put up her hand to decline. "You haven't eaten either, I insist." he spoke sincerely to her in a soft voice.
Cordelia shifted to sit up, opening her eyes as she looked down at the bread and took a slice. She began to eat it quiet as she turned her body slightly away and was looking away for a moment before sliding her eyes calmly to Tri, a glint of bitterness like she was fairly annoyed about something.
Zaku moved back over to Tri and sat down in front of him again, taking a slice himself and taking a bite. "It's okay." he commented shortly, a smile growing back on his lips. "She's the best cook I've ever known.." '..the only other person that could even cook as well........' He leaned back a bit thoughtfully. "Trisuri Luz, right? Hmmm.. So you didn't take Mara's last name, even though you were adopted by her. Unless... you were married or something?" he titled his head like he was in pondering casually, not even looking at him at this point, just up at nothing really. "It's not that surprising though..." he commented idly.

"Crazy" he insisted instead of allowing himself to be lead down that other path. Keeping an eye on them as he pulled the rope off around his wings and then moved on to his legs, vowing to keep some type of knife or switch blade from now on in some type of pocket behind him encase this happened again, if he survived this.
Meeting Cordelia's gaze without a flicker of emotion as he worked, glancing back to Zaku and the plate of bread sourly. Untying one foot he moved to the second one wings flaring out to his side, not answering Zaku right away. Wondering what was not surprising and after a moment realizing there really was not anything stopping him from asking. "Why is it surprising?" he muttered, taking a glance out the window but it seems where winding down, good.

Zaku glanced at his sour look towards the bread and Zaku shrugged, leaning over to set the plate on something for now. As he did, he looked out the window to see Blaise and Kate laughing and Arno walking off in a huff. Quirking an eyebrow as he knew that may not bode well, hopefully Undine would have that under control. He turned his attention to Tri and opened his mouth to answer his question but paused as a loud slam of a door echoed across the house. Zaku sighed and then shook his head of the worry. "It's not exactly surprising, people choose to take or not take their parent's name for a number of reasons. There are plenty of Metas that took on their own last names. Like Andy, she and Kira chose to change their last name to get away from all that. While, I took on my caretakers name, and Lucian still has his mother's last name. Ehhh, it's just.. not to hard to see it, I guess." he took another bite of the bread. He watched Tri untie himself, looking like he had no intention of stopping him. "You should stick around, figure things out. It's not so bad here." As soon as his sentence finished, a crash was heard across the house. Like glass breaking. "Are you s-..." an angered frustrated noise came from his mouth as he set down the remaining bit of his bread and moved to the door. As soon as he opened it, Blaise was already standing there with her hand partially up. She was shifting her vision back and forth, laughing nervously and talking in a low tone. Zaku responded back in a low inaudible tone as well. Blaise's face became stern as she spoke something else, her eyes sliding to Tri for a moment as she talked. After a few moments, Blaise looked at Tri then turned to walk back down the hallway. Meanwhile, Zaku returned to the chair and sat back down, leaning back in annoyance. He sighed to release the tension. "...So tell me.. if Mara took Lucian, where would she take him?" he asked in a serious voice, though his face showed he was reluctant to be initiating such direct questioning. He crossed his arms a bit as he sat idly, taking a glance back to Cordelia who was done eating and was just sitting there staring at Tri now.

Tri flinched when the door slammed and echoed through the house, moving faster as Zaku talked, saving what he said encase it could be used later.Thinking at the same time that he used to have Mara's last name...still technically had it, but changed it due to SIU, not because he had been married. Actually being married and changing names would require being married to ....oh. At another time or place that might have made him embarrassed and confused but that was not today.
"I was asked to change it when joining SIU" he said simply, dropping the rope and pushing it under the chair with a foot as he looked at them with a faint frown.
You should stick around, figure things out. It's not so bad here.
Focusing on Zaku he didn't say anything in response at another attempt to recruit him. He didn't even have time as the sound of breaking glass echoed through the house making him flinch and raise his wings slightly.
If he escaped, he knew what to look for now. Reports of noisy neighbors and or possible violence in residential areas involving metas. //not so bad here....right//
As Zaku left he quickly got to his feet, wincing at the pin and needle feeling while pushing himself up behind the chair. His nerves were on end as he gripped the top of the chair tightly noticing Zaku didn't leave but was speaking to Blaise. Lovely, the one that made Ree nervous for no reason. Focusing on her for a moment there was nothing that gave him that feeling other than wariness. It wasn't the same as meeting another Shadow which he thought might have been the reason Ree thought he off.
Letting out a soft breath he resisted the urge to move, wanting to leave especially now that there was no one out wise the window. However, it would take far to long to attempt with all three of them watching. On the other hand, he could try to kill Zaku. He would only needed him unprotected for a moment up close, something he could possibly manage unti the guise of finally taking one of the pieces of bread.
Quickly, he discarded the idea, he wasn't here to die and as reluctant as he was to admit it ...it really did seem like Zaku was keeping the Renegades on a leash. On a broken fraying leash, held together by one moldy thread.
Continuing to grip the top of the chair tightly he glance between Blaise and Zaku, catching what he assumed was Zaku telling her of his "plan" for him. If her reaction and side-ways glance was anything to go by.
When Zaku returned he gave him a questioning look. Similiar to one he would have thrown at Mara when he was unsure about something.
"...So tell me.. if Mara took Lucian, where would she take him?"
A question for information, the intense look of the formerly sleeping meta and the reluctant look in Zaku eyes. They were expecting him to do something now and he did, he completely shut down. What ever emotion zaku had managed to coax out of him during the earlier conversation disappeared only to be replaced with the dead-like look as he let go of the chair and let his arms hang loosely by his side. Barely glowing silver eyes just stared at Zaku, looking as if he wouldn't respond but was actually thinking. He did agree to help and he still did not have his powers or any viable way to escape, meaning playing along was the only logical way to go.
"She would have had him transferred to Criel or Haven. " he said finally after a minute of silence, his voice icily quiet. "To either of Haven's off site locations outside of Aldas or Morred"

Zaku frowned, not exactly pleased with how this was going. He sighed and moved to the side of the room, and began to slowly push furniture back to where it was supposed to go. "You can stay in here, I'll have some of the others dig for information about where to start looking in case Mara didn't take Lucian and they both might be in trouble." he paused for a moment, as he didn't really want to think that way, but the alternative was that SIU had Lucy and would be transferring him to Criel or.....
Zaku stopped completely, a pained look on his face as if remembering something very harrowing. Swallowing a bit, he shook his head of the idea. "It's best you don't mention Haven around the others. A lot of u-.. them have very terrible experiences with that place." he insisted as he finished moving things then looking to Tri, forcing a slight smile that faded. "It's been a long day, you should rest. Do you need more healing, I can always call Blaise back in to heal up anything else..." he offered as he motioned to Cordelia to leave and she reluctantly nodded and melded into the shadows, disappearing. Zaku looked at him with earnest eyes, "Hopefully Mara and Lucian are both alright. As reckless as we are, no one was supposed to get hurt." he commented softly. Taking a deep breath. "And thank you for.. your critiques. I'll have a lot to think about after this."

Tri said nothing, just shook his head once when asked a direct question. Otherwise he just watched and waited until they all left, frowning faintly as the door closed. Zaku last words caught his attention, nothing he would have expected from the leader of the Renegades. That Zaku would remember and ..contemplate on it. It made him wish he had been more careful in his wording.
"...." Taking a glance around he moved and turned on the lights, limiting the shadows in the area until he finally sighed and slide to a sit in a corner that was out of view of the door when it opened and lowered his head into his hands.
