"P...probably a better idea not to." Zac confirmed, taking stock of where they were, the sight of that -house- set a chill down his back.

THe... mention of Autumn being potentially strung up like a Pinata?
"Oh god...Please don't joke about that." Zac shook his head emphatically,

He did at least see familiar faces that gave a mixed twist in his chest. Of course they were here. People were missing, it didn't make him worry less, and he suspected the reverse was true as well.

Didn't make him feel better about things that had hadn't known till Autumn had mentioned them though...

"Jer." he called raising a hand to let the man know he was there. He wished he'd brought a proper "Other' kit now. if wishes were fishes and all that though...

Temperance blinked and hovered behind Zac like an overly large, gangling puppy. She had no idea who any of these people were but waved briefly, nonetheless.

"Should we just... go in?" And see what would happen?

Chris only nodded, resisting the urge to sigh again. "I can dream, at least." He stared back at the house, using one hand to fuss with his sleeve and hope that his bag had more than he thought it did.

"If it's Autumn, it'd probably be more concerning if she didn't go down fighting. But no, I'm getting awful vibes from it too," He said, gaze narrowing. "Have you seen anything else like it here?"

The assembled group is suddenly struck with the feeling that IT IS NOT TIME TO GO IN. Perhaps they should wait to strengthen their numbers before approaching the mansion.

About the point that Jeremiah was about to say something about the way being locked because Algie and himself had already checked, there was that overwhelming sensation of NOT THE TIME.

He growled.

"Zac," he respond and gave him a wave as well as a nod to the girl he was with, an attempt at a smile but the situation was not good. His fingers brushed against Algie's sleeve a moment before he turned his attention to Chris.

"... besides the fact that this is apparently not the time to be going in yet, I've not seen another place that feels like this. The hospital was nothing like this." Jeremiah shifted, his shoulders rolling. "When I say that place has me on high alert, I mean it is actually meaning it is dangerous. I can tell." It was part of the magic here, the magic he had now.

Which was why he was irritable and Algie was cranky and he really, really wanted to ******** find out what was going on but there was no way in yet.

Alexis wasn't, necessarily, friends with Autumn -- or even on any level of positive acquaintanceship. What few words they'd exchanged had both been in a life-or-death situation (of a sort), and not necessarily kind words. But they always kept an ear out for disappearances in the city - had even before Ashdown, really, one had to have a hobby, and what they'd been able to catch about the scenario of hers was...well.

It wasn't pleasant. But she'd gotten on so very well with the Peaceful One, so -- odds were -- this was an other-Ashdown thing. (It was pleasant in other Ashdown. Quiet. Rainy. Lonely, usually, but there were plenty of people here. Alexis would say so, at least, except they had to consider the fact that this was only the second time they'd been there; and both times - given the atmosphere, and Smith's disappearance - it had been in MURDERDEATHPLACEZONE situations. And Sunny - whoever she was - whatever she was, with her face on the sign, with the trees and the deer and the ice...well. It was dangerous, and it was awful, and that was sort of reassuring in its' own way? As reassuring as the constant low-level threat of murder could really be.)

Alexis hovered at the edge of the group, a pocketknife in their back pocket and their hair in a messy bun, and stared intensely at Jeremiah like he was the harbinger of destruction. When Jeremiah stared back, Alexis smiled. And just kept smiling, lips peeling back to reveal their teeth. This face made people uncomfortable, after all -- and Jeremiah was a man they absolutely wanted to make uncomfortable.

He thought he knew everything. Some adults did. Cops? Detectives? They always wanted to feel like they did, to the point where it was suffocating - Alexis wanted to rip that look off his face. Tear his skin away and watch him bleed it out - but. That was a Bad Child way to think. (They'd never be able to get rid of that idea. That things were Bad Kid and Good Kid -- no matter how much they squashed it down, it'd taken root far too long ago to do anything about.) After all - killing was illegal. It was! And it was for a reason -- but that wasn't the point here, was it? They needed to save Autumn. From whatever she'd done to herself. This sort of ********, whatever it was, you didn't just have it happen: oh, no. You had to embrace it down.

Chris gave a brief glance and wave at Zac (who he assumed from Jeremiah and a faint past memory) and the girl behind him before turning back to the detective. He only gave a minor thought to the feeling of not going in, shrugging it off the best he could. It wasn't anything he wanted to dwell on.

"The hospital? I'm going to assume it was some, Silent Hill level s**t," Chris mused, trying to get a sense of what they were possibly facing. This really was out of anyone's knowledge wasn't it. "Wait, what do you mean by You can tell?" He questioned, suddenly catching up on that tidbit.

Jeremiah stared right back at Alexis, matching intense stare for intense stare. A look that spoke of I am watching you because I absolutely do not trust you.

His attention immediately flicked back to Chris at the mention of Silent Hill and the high school teacher got a stern look. "Are you the reason she was excessively unnerved by the hospital? You've been here and you would - ugh!" Jeremiah actually managed to make a noise of disgust and annoyance. Congrats, Chris! He let out a snort.

"Yes, I can tell. If something is dangerous, means me harm, I can feel it and that place," a finger was pointed to the house, his tone was still bordering on contained anger and annoyance, "is nothing but danger."

"Was she really freaked out by the hospital?" Chris asked with equal amounts of glee and horror; she was totally going to kick his a** but oh my god he really had influenced her. "And okay it's not like I have any better points of reference, how would you describe this town?" There was totally a defensive edge to his tone that he was desperately trying to not portray.

"That's... incredibly useful," Chris said with something akin to reverence. "All I have is immunity to dangerous plants. Like I can eat poison ivy now, great. But still, that really doesn't bode well."

Algie adjusted his glasses, then the leather bag he'd been carrying when he found himself here so that he could also give Zac a wave. It was a bit strange to see other familiar faces reappearing, people he'd only seen that last time they were there was a group. It begged to question why they were drawn in crowds.

"It's never good," He glanced back up at the house and it's invitingly warm windows, "when something that looks pleasant here," then back to Jeremiah and Chris, "is guaranteed to be sinister."

As soon as the words slipped out of her mouth, she shivered. A sense of wrongness swept over her - they shouldn't go in. For a moment she froze entirely, like a deer caught in the headlights of a semi-truck. Then she exhaled and stuck both hands in the pocket of her sweater. Temperance stood and tried to absorb everything like an out-of-place sponge. She could accept this was another world, okay. Not a dream. Still, it was all very weird and she supposed she should be freaking out but all she felt was... surprisingly calm. Ignorance really was bliss.

"So it's like... spidey sense." She said to the completely unfriendly detective. "Do you also shoot web?" The other man could apparently ingest plants and she wondered for a moment how he even knew. "Silent Hill, like - in my restless dreams, I see that town?" She swallowed a giggle, never having noticed the apropos nature of that quote. There was an... odd person, just staring, but Temperance politely ignored them.

Alexis kept getting a stare when he was not talking, Jeremiah not at all bothered at all. They were going to have to up their game if they really wanted to unnerve him. This was a man who had nearly been by torched by Pax, who had tried to punch the burning man, he was not going to be bothered by that.

"Rather, think about it this way, why would you want to compare a place that is like that to here?. It's worse. Considering all the things we've seen, considering will has power here," that part was said quietly for those around him, "then it is likely best we do not inspire worse."

Temperance got a look and then a snort. "No, no webs." Nothing that ridiculous yet. "You likely have some ability yourself, you just haven't realized it." She was new, obviously, and that meant more people were coming into this than they even knew about.

Rumor had it that something had happened to Autumn.

Like the others who had previously disappeared, so, too, did the selfie-queen.

This worried Asiya, for even though she only met her on the previous trip to Other Ashdown, she liked Autumn. And the last thing she wanted was for something to happen to the girl.

What had she gotten herself into?

She had arrived in Other Ashdown much as she did the first time: but not suspecting it. She had been working in the pottery studio, and she turned around for one moment, and was all of a sudden in the strange world. Yet she did not come unprepared. Ever since her first trip, the young woman always made sure she carried an umbrella in her purse, as well as a bottle of water and a few other odds and ends. She wasn't sure if she would need any of that stuff, but hey -- it could prove useful. And the umbrella certainly was.

"So I hope a group of us being here means we'll find out what's wrong with Autumn," Asiya said upon arrival, not being far off from the large group of other individuals who were already gathered outside of Sunny's house. A few of the faces she recognized immediately. There was Erin, and Jeremiah with Algie at his side. Christopher was also there, as was Alexis (whom she was a bit surprised to see, given the last incident in Other Ashdown), and Zac, too. Aside from all of the folks who had went to Other Ashdown previously, there were also new faces, which intrigued Asiya.

All of the visitors together was a lot to take in. Asiya suddenly saw a flare of vivid colors; a rainbow of auras from the different people who were there. Squinting, she narrowed her eyes and tried to focus on just one, rather then all of them as a whole. To make things easier, she picked Erin's aura, since she was not only a familiar sight, but a friend. She then focused on this energy, while allowing herself to glance at the new people to Other Ashdown. The last thing she wanted to be was rude, so she gave them all a slight wave, followed by a polite nod.

"It's refreshing to see new folks in Other Ashdown. I'm Asiya. Nice to meet you all!"

Quote:
Just gonna quote everyone involved since Asiya is free to talk to anyone. |D She's happy to see familiar faces from last time as well as new folks to OAD.

Everything was going so fast and who were all of these people -

Thorne felt tripped up, thrown over, and bulldozed by the callous way in which everyone regarded world-hopping from normal civilization into this thing they called Other Ashdown. Was he supposed to be fine with this too? Chris had just said it was dangerous, and the other girl mentioned women hanging by their feet.

Oh man. Oh man. What the hell.

Thorne stared at the newest arrival (Asiya?) with an expression part-way between resignation and distress. "I imagine if there are introductions to be made before we - try not to die in this place - I'm Thorne." It seemed common courtesy to get names over with at least. There was a mansion and a weird sensation singing up his spine, and if the most normal thing he could do right now was to talk with some girl who was completely at home here, that was what he was going to do.

"Nice to meet you as well. I wish it had been somewhere else."
