Demeter and i never got on good terms, maybe it's the whole 'life and death' thing, i dunno" he said before sighing lowly "i won't make any excuses ... but for you I'll hold my tongue around her ... hopefully" he said with the last word in a mutter since he didn't trust his mouth around Demeter. Opening his eyes, he then looked to Persephone "still though, you gotta admit she can be quite the drama queen, or need i remind you our wedding .... speaking of we did hide the wine, right?

Death dusted his hands, then turned around and leave, "That will take care of that problem, I hope Ankhseram finds the seal," he said to himself, then he looked at the elevator, "I better check on Olympians, I haven't seen Hades' nieces and nephews... or I haven't met them," he said very cheery then disappeared in black poof.

Hera The true Queen of the Gods
Hera laid on the bed sound asleep, her body being restored to it's former corrupted self. Slowly but surely the darkness was ebbed from her body until eyes would suddenly flutter open slowly but surely. At first the former Queen would lay there in a daze as she stared up at the ceiling for a good several minutes. What happened? Where was she? Everything was so hazy and a blur to her. So much was missing and Hera couldn't for the life of her remember much of anything at a moment except a slow and creeping darkness that had ebbed at the corner of her vision. Slowly Hera would rise from the bed she was laid out upon as her hand rested against temple, she must have been out for awhile because the simple act of getting up seemed to cause her to be dizzied. Finally she would look around her surroundings and blinked in shock, it seemed like she was in some kind of...cell!?
Hera would stand once the wave of dizziness faded and she would walk forward as she pressed a hand against the glass wall before her. The brunette's hand pressed against the glass as her eyes narrowed a bit, who would dare put the Queen of Gods in a cell?!"Whoever has me placed into this cell will release me at once or face my wrath!"she yelled as she balled her hand into a fist and banged on the glass wall keeping her in there. Hera at that moment tried let divine energy flow through her as her hand glowed for a brief moment before it dissipated. Either she was still very weakened by whatever had happened to her or the cell was keeping her power in check, either way she was not happy with the situation. No doubt that anyone nearby would have heard her banging and voice.

as Hades drove up, his invisible darker self strode in time with a smirk "you know the place lacks the doom and gloom but i will admit, the place looks cleaner ... oh c'mon, I'm givin you a compliment, won't even respond to that?" he asked as Hades simply walked into the lobby that looked like it had been abandoned in an apocalypse "ah, that's more like it" he said but was still met with an ignoring Hades as they went to the elevator to floor 777. All the while down, Hades tried to compose himself, his dark side was trying to trip him up, to make him give up and take over. He couldn't let that happen, especially after what he did to Hercules as an infant. Just thinking of that made him nervous; would Hera hate him? Would she remember? Or was this all just a trick? Questions like that swarmed in his head as the elevator dinged and stepped out to a small hallway, there wasn't much in here but that was his intention; a triangular room with two adjacent transparent cells, one that held Hera and the other Zeus. Though the years both were either asleep or stood there menacingly like Zeus was doing now actually. He stood there with a wide eyed stare and a grin looking at Hades "hello Clarice" he said as dark Hades looked dumbfounded and looked to his lighter self "again: taking over the cosmos, gonna be easy" he said making Hades roll his eyes and walked to Alecto who called him "she said anything different?" he asked as the Fury shrugged "not sure, we're trying to find out if the box's energy is gone. So far nothing but ... gotta be sure" she said as Hades turned to the queen with his hands behind his back "i know this may seem uncomfortable, but we need to be sure you're yourself. A lot has happened"

Hera had begun pacing with room with an intense look on her face, how was she to get out of here? She couldn't use her power to get out and...she'd then put her hand out to try and summon her scepter, only for nothing to happen. This caused the Queen to glare a bit, what in Olympus was going on!? She couldn't even summon her scepter? But this felt different than just her power failing her, it was like a force was keeping the scepter from her. Nonetheless Hera would proceed to continue pacing throughout the small cell with an irritated look on her face. However look of confusion took over her face when she saw someone new enter the room besides Alecto whom Hera had given up trying to order to release her. She stared for a moment before something in her mind clicked"Hades? Is that you?"she questioned more so to herself than to anyone else as she fixed him with a confused look. He'd looked quite different than what she remembered, the lack of flaming hair and snarky comments were already very different than the one who...who took away her son's status as a god.
Hera's eyes narrowed a bit as she raised a fist and banged it against the glass"Hades if this is another one of your tricks I am not amused!"she stated"Release me at once!"she demanded of him before she stared into his eyes for a moment longer. She'd known Hades since the dawn of time, something was off about him, his eyes didn't have the resentment and malice that she was used to seeing"What is going on...to you and everything else?"she questioned as her fist slowly lowered from the cell wall and fell to her side. Something had happened in the black void that was her memories, she remembered how Hades had her son drink a poison to make him mortal so he could kill him and everything that came after that. However past that was all a blur, as if something had blotted out the memories somehow...she didn't like it one bit.

that last comment was all it took for Hades to see "it's her, let her out" Hades said as Alecto went to the cell door "oooh, better be sure little Aidoneus ... don't wanna cause another outbreak" his dark self said with a cruel glare as Alecto ran a finger along the locks making them click and the cell evaporated into energy and flew into the goddess herself "it's a lot to explain, but basically the gods became corrupted and became dark. There's a lot to cover but all you need to know is everyone is ok ... well Zeus is still corrupted, and Apollo ... I'm not sure if he was an a$$ before but he is now ... but the point is you and Zeus had to be contained and so i used your godly energy to make your cell, same with him and his own" he said before furrowing his eyebrows sadly and glanced down "I'm sorry" he said before looking back at her "for everything. I'm s-sorry"

Hera blinked for a moment in shock when Hades gave the order to let her out of the cage. Was this truly Hades? He resembled the god she once knew but yet here he was letting her go so easily? The Hades that Hera knew would have reveled in having her locked away in a cell, powerless and unable to escape, he would have tried to take over Olympus even! So she'd watch cautiously as Alecto would release the cell and as soon as she was freed Hera felt a surge of power flow through her, so this cell was hindering her! She would look at Hades with what could only be described as a look that demanded answers. So when the man began to give her a short version of what had happened she blinked in shock, Zeus!? Corrupted?She then stood by as it was explained how he had to use their own power to lock them away, that did make sense. Not to be arrogant but she and Zeus were on different level so to speak from the others, their power was mighty and not contained properly there was no doubt they would have escaped. However his explanation made sense as to why there was a massive blank spot in her memories, she and Zeus...corrupted. The thought was a terrifying one, just imagining the damage that they could have done.
However Hera was taken aback when Hades grew a sad look and..and then apologized? Hades had just apologized to her for everything he'd done. The Queen would stand there with a slightly stunned expression before collecting herself. His appearance was different and his personality seemed to have made a one eighty but yet she wasn't completely trusting of the other man, not yet at least"You poisoned my son in an attempt to kill him when he was but an infant. Such an act is not one that is easily forgettable"she stated, her tone maintaining a regal air and professional air. Hera would then pause for a moment"...With that being said, I do appreciate the apology. You came forward of your own volition and acknowledged what you had done. While I do not yet forgive you, know that your sentiment has been acknowledged"Hera stated as she heard a slight sound coming from the other cell. She paused and turned, pausing as her eyes widened a bit"Zeus?"she gasped a bit at the sight of her husband.
The wide eyed look and grin on his face...was this truly Zeus? Hera slowly approached the cell and stared in horror. This was a look she'd never seen on his face before, Zeus was many things but evil wasn't one of thing. The look in his eyes was that of chaos and malice, this wasn't her Husband"By the gods...Zeus.."she would reach up and a sad look overtook her features as she placed her hand against the glass cell"You have caused me so much anger and wronged me so many times...but yet...seeing you like this...it pains me so..."she spoke as the Queen stared at the man who resembled her husband. Despite the infidelity that he commonly took part in Hera still loved him very much, she always loved him even through thick and thin.

Hades frowned at Hera, knowing it would take a long time to trust him, like it did everyone else "see? What'd i tell you? None of them care" his dark side taunted as Hades continued to watch Hera mourn at the state Zeus was in "the corruption from the darkness of Pandora's Box started with me, i got the bulk of it but everyone else got a part of it in them that boiled over time. These energy cells are trying to suffocate that darkness out with divine light so all we can do is wait" he said reaching his hand out to her shoulder but restrained himself, at one time back when the Titan Wars were around; they were close friends. "one of the side effects is slight memory loss ... i don't know how far you recall but ... i want you to know that before the darkness took root in his heart, Zeus had eyes for you and only you. He loved you more than anything. That darkness is what caused his affairs to start to happen" he said with a frown thinking he was so glad he never met Persephone back then or he might have been the same way, or even abusive. Gods he didn't want to think of that, but he knew she was what helped him be better "c'mon ... everyone will be waiting, i kinda took off without them knowing" he said before walking to the elevator and pushed the button to open the doors "but ... i think maybe first we should try to find you some better clothes, no offence but ... well like i said, times have changed" he said straightening his tie

Hera stood there with her hand against the glass as she stared mournfully at Zeus, if this was how he looked corrupted she could only imagine how she was. The thought was chilling. Hera didn't take her eyes off Zeus as Hades spoke and explained about the darkness of Pandora's Box and she'd let out a soft mirthless laugh. Of course it started with him, that was no surprise. However he would go on to explain how the cells worked and that it was snuffling out the darkness with divine light"I see, so I must wait to have my husband back then..."she spoke softly as Hera finally lowered her hand from the glass. The Queen wished for nothing more than to have her Husband back but then what? Zeus would simply go back to his philandering ways and wrong her once more and then what? They'd be right back to where they were before the two of them were corrupted and she'd go out of her way to punish the women whom he cheated on her with since she couldn't retaliate against him.
Hera's gaze was low to the ground when Hades spoke again and let her know about the side effects of the darkness being memory loss. It made sense, the void in her mind now at least had an explanation. However she'd slowly turn as Hades began to explain that darkness had taken root in Zeus's heart. As he continued on Hera placed a hand over her mouth to hold back any sounds that may have wanted to come out and her eyes watered slightly. She shook her head a bit as a few tears rolled down the Queen's cheeks, it was almost too much to even hear at that moment and she's quickly turn away from everyone to face a wall as she attempted to compose herself. Hera's shoulders shuddered for a moment as she held back a few sobs, was that really true? Had Zeus truly loved her as much as Hades claimed he did? For some reason Hera couldn't fathom it, for so long Zeus's affairs tore the Queen apart and filled her heart with blinding rage. As the Goddess of Marriage such actions were equal to spitting in her face but...was it truly the darkness in his heart that caused his cheating ways? Hera collected herself a bit more as she took a deep breath"You're...not just saying that because he's your Brother...are you?"she said, not facing him yet. Hera had never shed tears in front of anybody ever before, not even Zeus had seen her cry. She was a put together and strong willed woman, she hadn't even cried when Hercules was poisoned and made half mortal but the others words had struck her heart like an arrow from the bow of Eros. If what Hades said was true then she could not possibly stay mad at Zeus for what he'd done and...maybe she'd undo the curses she'd laid upon the women he laid with.
Finally Hera took a deep breath and dried her tears and put herself back together before finally turning to Hades"Thank you Hades..."those were words she hadn't uttered in a very long time, not since the time the Titan's ruled the land. It was funny, she was once so close to Hades, the two of them were the best of friends but something had changed in him. She didn't know when, maybe it was when he was assigned to rule the underworld but he'd become so much crueler and seemed like a different person entirely. Actually...she would stare at Hades for a moment, it was almost like he was back to the god she once knew. Nonetheless she listened when he explained that he'd left without telling anyone"Everyone? So the others are with you as well?"did the others truly trust Hades? What had gone on while she was out of commission? The Queen would follow Hades to the elevator but raised a single fine eyebrow when the other man stated that she needed better clothes"Excuse me?"she stated before finally glancing at his current outfit with a critical eye"Yes, so it seems"she let out a huff as her hand gave off a white gold glow"However I am a Queen and I will dress as such"she stated as suddenly a swirl of light surrounded her as her gown which was dulled from a lack of care and attention over the millennia was suddenly back to it's former glory. She would then offer a small smirk as they entered the elevator"And besides, this look is timeless"she stated before putting her hand out again as she attempted to summon her scepter once again and once more it didn't appear. What was going on? It was as if it was no longer hers.

"timeless huh?" Hades said raising an eyebrow with a smirk "i'll remind you of that if you see any new wardrobe that catches your eye" he said with a hint of mischief and pushed the button for them to go up and began to fill her in on what happened while she was out of it: how they, as their corrupt selves were killed and replaced by mortal heroes who then faded because they couldn't handle the power, even his own position was taken up twice. then as it seemed the realms would be without the Olympians; Tartarus had a mass breakout and one of them absorbed all the darkness from the Olympians as he left putting everyone, for the most part, normal. of course at first there was a fight between himself, Poseidon, and Ares over who should take over Zeus's spot but it went nowhere. then came Dachi who swiftly took over Olympus in their weakened state so Hades did the one thing he could think of: he took everyone's throne, their seat of power, and hid them so they could not be destroyed and brought everyone to the Underworld where Daichi could not follow, but not before absorbing a bulk of darkness from another opening of the Box. for a while his heart wasn't even beating and even started dating a nymph named Minthe who was .... well not a good match for him, that was until he saw Persephone. in that moment his non-beating heart skipped a beat and he felt like life in the Underworld wasn't as gloomy as it started out for him, so he gathered up Hermes, Athena and even Daedalus and decided to modernize the Underworld, building roads, buildings, vehicles and even more advanced technology like the internet and cell phones all in the span of at least three months or so. Hades married Persephone and have been together for at least fifteen years and only recently got his heart removed of darkness after he blasted it towards Cronus who showed up to try to kill them, though he felt there might be a small part still in him, one that prayed on his depression and self-loathing he still had. "like i said: you've missed a lot" he said as the elevators dinged to the parking garage where a convertible black car was the only thing there with (normal dog size) Cerberus sitting in front seat "Cerberus ..." he said smiling slightly, touched his dog was so loyal and worried about him that he followed him "alright if you're gonna sit in the car then move to the back seat" he said as the three-headed dog turned and spotted Hera and instantly started yipping happily and ran towards her and pounced, licking her face with all three heads. chuckling Hades made a quick phone call to Hermes

She would then scoff once more as she folded her arms"Of course they faded, no mortal can handle the power of a god no matter how strong they may be!"even when well intentioned mortals were still arrogant enough to believe they could handle what was divine right. She would then continue to listen as Hades explain about the breakout which caused a shiver to run down the Queen's spine, the thought of so much breaking free from Tartarus was chilling. The evil down there was imprisoned for a reason.
Hera would then listen to the other explain how he, Poseidon, and Ares fought over who would take Zeus spot which caused Hera to reach up and rub her temples. Hades and Poseidon at least had legitimate claims to such a throne but Ares had no place trying to make such a claim, the man was too much of a war monger and a brute to rule Olympus. Nonetheless the Queen would continue to listen as he would then enlighten her about Daichi and how he'd taken over the throne which caused Hera's eyes to narrow a bit as her shoulders stiffened"So a pretender is ruling Olympus..."she muttered, her intense gaze nearly burning a hole in the door to the elevator as it was still descending. Well it was a good thing that she was awake now wasn't it? However the most shocking news of all would be delivered to her when the other god informed her of his marriage to Persephone of all people. Hera would stare incredulously at Hades for a moment, waiting for him to say he was kidding, to smirk, to give any remark or reaction that said he was joking but none came. Had he actually married Persephone?! Hera had to admit that she was completely biased and played favorites and Persephone was for a fact one of her favorites among her fellow gods.
Finally once they were outside Hera would stare in shock at the underworld, he really had changed and developed it to stay with the modern times. What even was this she was looking at, so much stone and what appeared to be roads, Hera truly was out of her element for a moment. However some things didn't change and she looked back to his vehicle once she heard yipping as a familiar three headed dog had ran and pounced towards her. Hera wasted no time in catching Cerberus in her arms as the dog licked her face, causing fits of laughter to be heard"Oh Cerberus! Yes I'm happy to see you too!"more laughter would be heard as she slowly lowered the three headed dog down and gave head pats and ear scratches to each head"It's nice to see that you're still the cutest pup ever"she cooed a little bit, Cerberus was still as precious as she remembered him"Whose the most fearsome guard of the underworld? You are! Yes it's you!"she finally concluded her cooing with a kiss on the top of each head.
Hera had began to walk the car where she would look at Hades whom was apparently talking on a modern piece of technology. She would frown a bit when she heard the other apologize over the device which caused her eyes to narrow a bit as she would fold her arms"By the Gods Hades! You're King of the Underworld, be an adult and apologize in person if you've wronged someone!"she would loudly proclaim, most likely loud enough for anyone on the other line to hear. From there she would open the back door for Cerberus before getting into the front seat and waited patiently for Hades to chauffeur her to wherever he was taking her.

Hades couldn't help but chuckle at both Hera and Persephone's comments "we can always make a second batch but we'll be home soon. love you""love you too, pookie" Hermes said making Hades look annoyed "shut up Hermes or i'll make you dog sit again" he said before hanging up and rubbing his temples and got in the car and let out a sigh "i will say this for you and Zeus .. how you managed to deal with all of them for centuries is beyond me. fifteen years and i feel like pulling out my hair ... and i just got it the way i like it too" he said brushing his hand through his salt and pepper style hair as Cerberus panted in the back seat but Hades smiled a bit when he saw his dark side wasn't there. a momentary peace at least from feeling the love from his wife perhaps but still, he took it. soon they were heading out of the garage and down the road into the city, passing building after building and leaving the four towers behind "Tower Four is where we just left; Tartarus" Hades said explaining "the being himself is in sub basement 99 ... well the way down to the pit is anyway. luckily he's been quiet" he said before seeing a paddy wagon driving to tower four knowing it must be the two other escapees Lord Death felt had arrived "i know you'll have a lot to catch up on, but one thing i defiantly suggest is learning how to drive. Athena said she plans to modernize Olympus as well when Daichi is overthrown so might be a good idea" he said before glancing at her for a second before turning back to the road "i missed you" he said with another glance "we all did ... well ... Dionysus is still a bit sour but ... he did become an Olympian when the darkness started taking greater root, it wasn't your fault ... anger, depression, resentment, it all fueled the corruption ... he didn't know you do care about the family, even him"

Hera would cross one leg as they began to drive down the road. This was a fascination contraption, moving them along so swiftly and without a steed in sight. The modern age has changed much it seems. She would listen to the other speak as she observed the god of the underworld from the corner of her eye. His interactions with the others seemed so genuine and real, if this was all a trick them he was playing the long game and was working to fool everyone. Hera remained silent before she raised an eyebrow at the annoyed look the other had grown although it was quickly explained when the other spoke to Hermes. Ah, that made sense then. Hera would keep her arms folded as she stared ahead at the road while the other god spoke and Hera gave a small chuckle"You learn special methods of dealing with everyone over time"she began"For instance, Zeus would purposely leave when he knew Hermes was up to something and leave it for me to deal with"a small smirk played at her lips as the Queen shook her head"Of course I adopted my own methods, I can show you once we arrive"of course she'd choose to demonstrate rather than explain, it would be more fun for everyone to see the look of dread on Hermes's face!
Hera would then listen to the other speak and nodded her head when Hades explained where they had just come form. That wasn't too surprising, it only made sense to have both herself and Zeus locked in there. However she would glance at Hades and sighed a bit"I would rather have a chauffeur like I did long ago"when Hera did leave Olympus it was always in a magnificent chariot with one of her handmaidens at the reins. But then she supposed that times were changing, her outfit was one thing but this was probably a smart decision to learn this skill he spoke of"All modern vehicles aren't this...drab are they?"she stated, eyeing the color of the man's care. She understood he was King of the Underworld but would a little bit of color kill him?
Hera would the pause and turned her head a bit when he stated that he missed her to which she wanted to scoff at the idea. He seemed different but Hera still had doubts, she would need to get the opinions of the others for her to come to a final conclusion about Hades. Namely though Persephone's opinion. She was his wife apparently. However she would remain quiet after he said that and instead let him continue on speaking and openly rolled her eyes before resting an elbow and the door and then placed her chin in the palm of her hand"That may be true but it doesn't excuse what happened"she stated coolly while watching the landscape go by"Zeus and I are the King and Queen of Olympus, we should have been better prepared. We're supposed to be the ones to protect all of you when such evil arises"despite the others words Hera felt things could have gone differently if she had recognized what was going on. But instead she allowed her jealous rage consume her which only added fuel to the fire, it was unbecoming of one such as herself.
She wouldn't look away from the zooming landscape as a sad look came over her face slightly"Dionysus is a fool to believe otherwise, he always had trouble looking at things beyond the wine bottle"she stated with a sigh before shaking her head. It didn't surprise her that he thought otherwise, Hera had always been hard on him but it was only because she knew the potential that he had. He may have been the god of Wine and Merrymaking but the man needed to only put his chalice down once in awhile to become so much more than some slovenly party animal. She'd seem the depictions that mortals made of him at the time and it was insulting in her opinion, to depict a god in such an unflattering way was awful in her eyes!

Hades could only sigh and roll his eyes when Hera said she and Zeus should have protected them and instantly pulled over next to a Pomegranate store (equivalent to an Apple electronics store) before looking at her sternly "look your highness ..." he said somewhat snarky "I'm gonna tell you something you won't wanna hear but need to: get over yourself" he said before rubbing the bridge of his nose "you and Zeus are king and queen of the heavens, not the entire realms ... that's why Poseidon had the sea and i had the Underworld.
