"Mhm. It seems like plenty enough for me. Besides, I'm sure there has to be another village or something nearby. I know the Wind folk to be rather nomadic and all, but I doubt we'll go much longer without seeing at least a few people we can trade with," Araie nodded. She drew another rune into the ground, summoning a small campfire that they could use to cook the food with.
Looking at the journal in her hands, Araie took a deep breath. She really wanted Dezani to see her silly little pictures, but she was still so nervous for some reason. She needed to just hand it to him before she lost her nerve. Closing her eyes, she shoved the book at him and dropped it into his lap, letting it fall open to one of the first pages. She didn't have the courage to look at what the drawing was. She just hoped it was a decent one.
"Here. Look. You mentioned the drawings back in the cave, so I thought I would show them to you."

"Oh uh are you sure? I don't want to invade your privacy or anything. Especially if it makes you uncomfortable. I'd rather you be comfortable than share something with me just because I asked. I can be patient and wait until you're ready," Dezani tried to explain, keeping his eyes on her and away from the book for the moment. He was incredibly curious of course, but that didn't mean he was going to break her trust just because he wanted a glimpse at what she did. It would be rude to push her into it and he didn't want her any more upset than she already was at everything else.

"You aren't invading my privacy. I promise. I want you to look at it. I've always wanted to share my silly little doodles with someone else, but I've always been too shy. And I trust you to not make me feel like an idiot about how terrible they are, so please. Take a look," Araie said shyly, still only looking at Dezani through her lashes. It was true that she did trust Dezani. She trusted him with her life. And she had never been one to hold back and hide things from people that she trusted, and she knew she really didn't want to hide things from someone who was as important to her as Dezani. It didn't stop it from being nerve-wracking for her though.

She trusted him. While it shouldn't have surprised him, hearing it out loud was an entirely different thing. He liked the fact that she trusted him and was willing to show him her personal journal full of drawings. It wasn't just because they were friends, but he wasn't exactly sure what they were. They were traveling companions of course, but he thought they were more than that. He just didn't know what yet. He was still having a hard time figuring that out himself. He wouldn't burden her with his thoughts until he knew just what he was thinking.
"I will gladly appreciate everything in your book. I'm sure it's all fantastic. I'm excited to see it all, and to continue adventuring with you."

Araie scooted over where she was sitting until she was right next to him, leaning over to rest her head on Dezani's shoulder. She didn't know why his desire to keep traveling with her and being her friend - or whatever they were - pleased her as much as it did, but she really was so incredibly happy to know that he wanted to keep being with her. Sighing contently, Araie closed her eyes and allowed herself to relax as Dezani began to flip through the journal.
"It'll be me and you taking on whatever the world throws at us, and I can't wait to see what else we get to see together."
