HP: 10/20 Military Weapon: +1 DMG "Whattya think," Rasali wheezed between breaths, "It's a fight, isn't it?"With that, Rasali spun on her heel to face Reemus directly. With her momentum, her chain was pulled back. She wasted no time in swinging overhand with the bulk of it--aiming for the shoulder. While Rasali preferred close combat, their relative size difference and strife specibus meant Rasali was better off keeping what distance she could. Rasali does 4 damage!

HP: 14/20 DMG: 5 +1 = 6Reemus yelped upon getting swiped in the shoulder. what a comeback! Lots of meddle. He liked that! Although his toes were still smarting, he planted both feet on the ground. Clenched his fists. Then, yelling, he charged, only raising his torso up in tandem as he thrust in for another solid hit. Knowing from the feeling alone that he made contact made him utter a satisfactory growl.

HP: 4/20 Military Weapon: +1 DMG Rasali's hit landed, but she didn't have time to celebrate. Reemus was already closing the distance between the two. It was hardly a surprise, but that didn't stop the enormous bulldozer of a troll from charging directly at her. Rasali had an idea. It was risky, but it wasn't like she had time to come up with something better. Rasali slackened her chain, tossed her arms into the air, and braced for impact. Reemus slammed into her. She was right--he did hit like a truck. As Rasali folded in on herself, her arms, holding her chain, crashed down over the back of Reemus's neck. She twisted her body as she fell, cinching her chain and throwing her arms over her head as she hit the ground. If she was going down, she wasn't about to do it alone. Rasali does 7 damage!

HP: 7/20 DMG: 6 +1 = 7"Gack!" And like that, he went down. Whatever the greenblood had done, she had done tight, and every inhale was short and useless.
He couldn't breathe.
Reemus struggled with the chain, clawing at it with more and more desperation every second. He lurched up, and with the benefit of being on top of Rasali, had the angle to start throttling her over and over with what he had left with the hope that it would make her ease up. His eyes were even starting to water.

Rasali had succeeded in bringing Reemus down to her level. The problem was that he didn't stay down. Her torso jerked around as Reemus flailed while still tangled in her chain. The whiplash was dizzying, and his weight, crushing. Then he started choking her. Rasali's eyes widened, causing a couple tears to escape down the sides of her face. She released her weapon. It was useless from this position. She clawed savagely at Reemus's hands, trying to release his grip, pry his hands off, draw blood, SOMETHING. She would have screamed had she been able. What the hell was he doing!?

The restraints on his throat loosened, and he removed a hand from Rasali to pull whatever might be left. He fell back, gasping for air. Able to breathe again, the yellowblood gave up any effort to hurt Rasali. Done was done, she got what she wanted, and he didn't pass out from a cut off wind pipe. He slowly got to his feet, wheezing. "That was intense, mate!" Reemus dusted off his knees, though any grime couldn't really be helped at that point.
He turned back and offered her a hand to get up. She fought dirty, this one, but it was kind of exhilarating! Stomping on someone's foot, who ever would've thought?

Freedom hit Rasali all at once as she registered that Reemus was no longer assaulting her. She lay on her back taking deep, gulping breaths, while mentally checking the status of each individual body part. At Reemus's words, Rasali's mind refocused. She sat up and stared at him, bewildered. She could barely comprehend what he'd just said. The switch of mindless violence to this was absolutely freakish. She withheld a flinch at Reemus's extended hand, but glared at it like it had been an attack all the same. Rasali was still breathing hard. Ignoring Reemus's offer, she rolled in the opposite direction. It brought her onto her knees and then to a defensive standing position. She wasn't expecting him to attack her further, but apparently there was no such thing as being too careful. "What. The hell. Was that," she snarled.

"What was what?" he asked, brow raised. His hand was still out. He hadn't thought to drop it. "You were chokin' me, I didn't wanna be choked. So I made you stop." Pretty simple, he thought. He scratched his back, watching her in her defensive pose and all. He felt like something was wrong, that this wasn't supposed to happen, but he wasn't sure what went wrong.
"Y'seem upset, mate," was the best he could do as an observation. He didn't know what else to say besides that, though.seekingCylem Get out the squirt bottle

"Upset!?" Rasali balked. Did he black out or something? Rasali didn't remember knocking him in the head. Maybe it happened while she was being choked out, part of her thought bitterly. Still... Mad as she was, this train of thought needed to be corrected. She squared her shoulders and began recoiling her chain. She spoke while making sure she was looking Reemus directly in the eyes... er, eye. Obviously this guy had seen some s**t--they all had. It wasn't an excuse to not have a handle on your own strength. "You could have killed me. A smaller troll probably would have broken bones, or worse, their windpipe with a maneuver like that. Yeah, you're as strong as I thought you'd be. Yet if you can't effectively combat train without potentially crippling your opponent, you're not going to last long--initiative member or otherwise. Control is just as important as power. When the power imbalance becomes that lopsided you stop."By now she'd finished reeling in her weapon and let it hang loosely around her forearm. "Before you start calling me a hypocrite on the choking thing, I know how to use my weapon. Pulling back before permanent damage is caused is what's normal. Not... whatever that was." Rasali waved her arm, causing the links of her chains to jangle. Of course she'd been most concerned about the terrifying beat-down. However she was also a touch insulted that she'd been thought to be incompetent enough to strangle her own teammate.

Most trolls were shorter than him these days. In fact, Reemus couldn't remember seeing anyone tower over him since that time at the coliseum long, long ago. Rasali, too, had a lot less height than he, but as she tore into him, he felt smaller and smaller with every comment fired his way.
He was being yelled at for doing what he was asked, and that made him mad, but being yelled at so vehemently made him listen despite wanting to speak up for himsef. Rasali's statements sounded so factual, and he couldn't claim to know any better from experience. All his fights up to this point were either desperate or sparring, with little incident. Or, as far as he knew.
All that was left after the verbal smackdown was a sad, confused dog shaken to his core. If he didn't have anything to say, then he was Bad. Guilty as charged, but confused. "I'm sorry." he said, a small whine tining his voice, finally. "I-I dunno what else to say. I was raised told that trolls were tough, like real tough, like bash 'em good tough n' my lusus...I...mm," he trailed off. He loved Woofmum, but this was not the first time that her animalistic teachings conflicted with how other trolls, what he was, said things were. "I don- I don't wanna wrong things. Bad things. I don't wanna hurt any bloke like I hurt you, or worse. I didn't..." He covered his face with his hands. He screwed up, and realizing that he put others at risk, for no good reason, including possibly Voscil. It hurt his head.

As steamed as Rasali was, she was still a little thrown off by how readily Reemus cowed to her scolding. Confusion was replacing her anger, albeit very, very slowly. So he really didn't know his own strength. Rasali wasn't sure whether to be relieved or even more worried. Eventually Reemus stopped saying words sequentially. Rasali held up one hand in a "stop" gesture, while the other was planted firmly on her hip. "I'm not trying to make you cry," she said, with a little more venom than intended, "Consider it a learning opportunity! A really important one."Rasali began again, a little slower, and with a little more calm. "Being able to hit heavy: great! Being able to hit heavy and literally nothing else: bad. If you're not chill in sparring, you're gonna hurt someone you didn't want to. If you lose your chill in real combat, someone is probably gonna pop you in the back of the skull while you're busy whaling on another guy! Gotta keep your wits about you, bucko." Rasali sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. Boy did she want to lie down. Unfortunately she had important business to attend to. "Look: It's my job as a senior member of the Initiative to make sure all you marginally younger types stay safe. If you wanna, like, practice again, don't hesitate alright? I can take it." Rasali nodded succinctly. Hopefully he wouldn't call upon her for that until the first layer of bruises faded away. "...Didn't I promise you a sandwich or something?"
