Bobbing for apples! Now there's a game that the redblood was familiar with. Surprised he didn't catch wind of the booth yesterday, he quickly made his way over.
"Wish I'da known about your booth sooner!" he greeted the trolls behind the counter, "I could've donated some of my own produce for your booth." After the short chatter, Fellah stepped up to the bucket to bob.

Unfortunately, both times Fellah fell just short of catching an apple in his mouth. "Well shoot. Still, always nice to see some farm flavor around."

Punkie was wandering. The punkin stand was going smashingly, so she decided to treat herself to some free time. Her eyes slid over booths, looking for something that really caught her attention, when she saw the apple bobbing stand. Without hesitation the orangeblood juggalo leaned over the barrel and gave it a go, only to come up sputtering water. "Oh my, did i do sometin wrong?" She asked herself, bending down to have another go. Once again the apple slipped away and Punkie was left frowning at the mess the water made of her face paint. Tomorrow she would have to prepare and wear waterproof paint. It wouldn't do to go around looking like this.

When someone actually engaged Fellah with farm talk, the redblood couldn't help but ramble. "Oh yeah, been growin out on my farm for as long as I can remember. I try to grow a little bit of everything. Got the basics, my corn usually does real good, but I've been using greenhouses, creating my own wetlands, I love to find new crops to grow whenever I go traveling around. I try to sell my crops in the city but," Fellah rubbed his neck and blushed a bit, "well I usually wind up just giving away more than I wind up selling. Still it's more about working the land and seeing what new crops I can cultivate."

Caiden squealed as he saw the jadeblood. " Xavier Hi!!! Do you remember me? Of course you remember me, right?! Im Caiden! Hii!! Long time no see! Is this YOUR booth?! Thats soo cool! Where did you get all the apples from?! Did you grow them yourself?!? And who is this? Is she your booth partner?! Oh thats SOO COOL! Hi! Im Caiden" The boy babbled, reaching to shake both troll's hands. "So i get to try for apples?! Oh they look SOO good! OMG THEY ARE SOOO GOOD!" the boy exclaimed as he bit into one. How he managed no one would really know, as he was talking the entire time. The second apple evaded him, understandably, he never stopped talking.

Xavier perked his head up slightly as he peered at the orangeblood. Another troll with a painted face...was this a trend of some kind? While curious he offered a polite smile when she seemed frustrated. He'd seen several hits and misses with apple bobbing, although he hadn't really tried it himself. "It's not always too easy I guess? Um. Cuz the apples slosh if you upset the water's." He offered with an encouraging smile.

"Maybe better luck next time?" Xavier inclined his head slightly, hoping her lack of success wouldn't keep her from trying again. To bad her nice makeup had gotten all wet!

Xavier’s attention turned from the orangeblood to a familiar troll he’d met not to long ago on Busthind. The kid had been really excited to learn more about music, and while extremely talkative he’d really enjoyed getting to know the other troll. “Yes! I do remember you!” He exclaimed, a wide fanged smile pulling at the greenblooded trolls lips. Waving, he moved closer to the other and clasped a hand on his shoulder in greeting. “I know who you are! Yuh of course. Thanks for coming to our booth.” He replied with earnest, giving the others shoulder a light squeeze before letting go.

“The apples were cuz of my friend over here Valaon. She has a real neat farm and grows ‘em!” He introduced, gesturing to the other greenblood, and exchanging names between them. Even as he never stopped talking, Xavier at least tried to keep up with him. His brows furrowed, recalling how quickly the other bounced from one subject to the next. At least he’d gotten himself a prize, he couldn’t help but smile. “They are! She grows great apples.” He set his whittling knife down, he was much slower at it than his booth partner,and still was clumsy with the tool.

Tamiya’s mouth made a perfect “o” shape. This whimsical child from last Bloodfest had re-emerged like the mighty and elusive red suit man that emerged during the twelfth perigee. She was frozen. Her mind went blank as the incredibly capricious child flopped around like a fish in the barrel, putting her entire body into the cold water. It was winter. She could get frostbite. How could a child have such incredible lack of self-preservation in favor of pure, undiluted strangeness. Lutrin’s pumpbiscuit was free-range – a dancing sprite, a will-o-wisp leading her and dancing so closely around the great Tents of the Messiahs that she could hear the trumpets and sick ******** beats. And she followed it – oh did she follow it. Never a hint of irony, always genuine silliness somehow untouched by reality. Her facial markings were very close to face paint. And, more telling than anything, Lutrin had called her master. Tamiya did not take students, nor did she have such relationships with her companions in the cult. But if this was not a sign from the Messiahs, she didn’t know what was.

Tamiya reached into the barrel and plucked the orangeblood out by the underarms. She was still as light as she was during her soda baptism, and a feeling of dejavu electrocuted the juggalo. Tamiya wrapped an arm around the sopping child, held her at her side, and mounted her two-wheeled scooting device. “You should get warm before you freeze. Come with me.” Tamiya explained. She was already riding away.

Ⅱ Autumn Vikare

“Oh my god, Cat. Don't drown,” Autumn scolded as she retrieved the sopping wet lusus from the barrel. She had suggested bobbing for apples since it seemed like a safe enough activity, but apparently nothing was safe for or from Caterpal. She placed him on the rimof the barrel.

“Watch and learn.” Checking that her hair was firmly tied back, she leaned over the barrel. Carefully she lowered her face towards the water. She opened her jaw wide. In that moment, she felt a little ridiculous. When her teeth sank into an apple a second later however, the embarrassment she had passed. Triumphant, she passed the fruit off to Caterpal. The lusus looked unimpressed.

Autumn nodded. “You're right. I think we can do better.” She ducked down for a second time. As she did, Caterpal batted one of the apples with his tail. The fruit floated over directly into Autumn's waiting mouth. She shared a wink with the grub.

Rising, she took a healthy bite out of the fruit and waved to the owners. “Two apples over here!” she called. Then as an afterthought, “You should really consider offering caramel with these. They taste lovely.”
