"A criminal, huh?" Amonee had clearly drawn inspiration for this challenge from the show they'd been watching last week! He'd better try and come up with something worthy of capturing the awesome car chases and cool con men they'd adored!

Problem was, he had two kind of cheap looking materials. How to make them look expensive? His mind wandered to his latest muse, the lovely Odette. What would she look good in? Gears turning, the image came to him!

He crafted a duct tape body suit, fitted tight to show off her slim figure. Then a coat made out of bubble wrap with jeweled buttons glued on in between the bubbles! Lastly the cotton cloth was used to make a small sash to accent the waistline!

Xionek Heronn
(Keionx Rutace)

AAAAAaaaaa she might have drunk too much of that coffee. Without milk. Aaaaaaaa she needed to... do something... now...

Keionx practically spun into the doll dressing booth, taking a glance at the theme of the day. Criminals? Yes. She could do that. Okay.

She grabbed a bunch of stuff at random and the greenblood model and got to work.

The leather was easy. Criminals and thieves used a lot of leather. The feelings she felt as she cut the leather into a dainty little facemask and glued it to the doll were... complicated, but she was too energized to care, and her thoughts were speeding through her so quickly... aaaaaa... she was glad she'd thrown out the rest of that coffee. Too much, indeed.

The leather also served as lovely leggings with a raw-hide trim. It looked good to Keionx.

But what was she going to do with the bubble wrap? Or the two mystery packages she'd grabbed?

The bubble wrap became a half skirt and two of the bubbles became plastic gloves for the doll - because thieves always wore gloves, right? Right?

Except for Miache. Miache... was not a thief. But either way - gloves. For the doll. And the skirt was to be ostentatious, like thieves were. Maybe she could suggest the look to Etsali, see what the horrible theif thought! Ha! Etsali in bubble wrap...

Focus.

Keionx focused. She opened one of the mystery packages to find... A single, long strip of silk. And such silk! It was lovely stuff. Quickly, it became a headband, a belt, and a pair of sneaking shoes for the doll, good criminal stuff. Good hero things too, if a hero needed to do some stealthy work...

Focus. Criminals.

There was one more package, mysterious and unyeilding. Keionx worried over it - would it ruin her look?

She opened it.

Playing cards.

What did this have to do with fashion?! No matter, Keionx knew what to do. She cut the cards into little dagger shapes and slipped it into the criminal's belt. Then, with a marker, she marked up his face - a few scars here and there, a tattoo, a few hard knocks...

Perfect.

Pleased with her work, and having expended some of her energy, she submitted her entry, wrote her false name, and twirled out of the booth...

Elidae's materials were... actually pretty convenient to create something chic and cool? She was definitely feeling the biker vibe, but then she wondered if that would be waaay too obvious... maybe a rugged space captain?!

A denim corset would be super cute, with a pair of leather pants. She could make a statement necklance out of the tin foil! Oh, oh! And some amazing earrings with matching bracelets! Do you know what else could be shiny? Some shiny metal knee-high boots. It wasn't exactly Elidae's preferred fashion, but she admired the look greatly and, admittedly, her doll looked pretty dang hawt!

WHAAAAAT?! Is that an Amonee bobble-head AND a Nucleo one too?!? I WANT them all!! Wow you guys must be like SUPERHEROES to have action figures of yourself. This is soooo cool!!!" The brownblood would not stop talking as he exclaimed about the bobbleheads, the colors of fabric, and all sorts of things. He blushed a little as he dressed the Autumn doll. It was really cool, but it also felt weird to be dressing his friend.

As she inspected the jeweled buttons her eyes kept going back to the googly eyes, this had to be a sign. Punkie picked out a few feathers and went right back to the googly eyes. She shook them, watching the bead inside slide around wildly."These are quite something. ******** miracles is what. Each one moves... with such grace..." Punkie was almost lost in thought as she decorated the doll, using mainly googly eyes. The orangeblood stepped back from her work and admired the leviathan like outfit. The copious amount of googly eyes gave it an otherworldly being look, and Punkie's grin grew. She eyed the dolls and snatched up one of each, marveling at what other googly eyed outfits she could make.

For what it was worth Eyzaak was only playing with dolls because Autumn had bat her eyes at him and told him she was a judge. He wasn't exactly happy about this whole thing but the time for complaints had been thrown out the door when he realized it meant something to his winged friend.

Sucking up his annoyance for the situation Eyzaak picked up his own kit to get right to work. The strange popping substance was played with far more than the actual design work.

Finally he got down to work. He cut off a portion of the silk before making it into a crude dress that fit his doll. Next he took the sheer fabric and draped it over like a shawl. The bubble wrap was used as shoulder pads and lastly into a belt for the other sheet of wrap. He wasn't sure what exactly he'd made but for what it was worth..tada?

Rollover!

"Have you guys seen the Starlight booth? Omigosh, Odette is actually there! She inspired the next challenge for our game, I hope you all enjoy it!" The jadeblood unveils the challenge whiteboard with the next theme for any interested designers.

NEW THEME: BIRDS

If drawing a sketch is easier, please feel free to post that instead of a written description! The 100 words requirement has been lifted but you must include some kind of description of what your troll makes! Please try to have your posts filled before midnight if you can. The rollover is pretty lax and I'm willing to wait a little late for last minute additions but try to do your best!

"Hmm..." He knew what he wanted to do with the googly eyes and the jeweled buttons but what about that denim? Squinting at the materials for a long time, the greenblood fiddled with his braids and stared. Then in a flash it came to him!

Cutting and sewing together a loose fitting hooded romper that ended at shorts length, he used the duct-tape to make stripes on it like a bluejay! On the hood he attached the googly eyes and used the ductape to try and add a baseball hat-like brim to pretend it was a beak. On this beak he lined the edge of the brim with glued on jeweled black buttons!

Eyzaak was back again for another round. Just because they hadn't liked his first attempt at making dolls didn't mean he was just ready to give up. No forget that. He'd make something even cooler this time. Grabbing his kit filled with materials, the boy sat down with a stubborn set to his jaw.

Glaring at the list of things he had to work with, and overhearing someone talking about birds being the theme (as the written letters on the board meant nothing to him) he set to work. The tin foil Eyzaak carefully bent and shaped into the bone structure of a pair of wings. He attached it to the doll, before going on to make a hat out of the cotton cloth. He glued on the buttons to give the flapbeast eyes. Next the beak was cut out with another piece of tin foil.

Lastly he covered the tin foil in the fiber optic fabric to give the shiny metal a little more visual interest. By the time he was done, while a touch crude it was clear he'd invested a bit of thought into how to shape the wings, even bending them to look like the "bird" was flapping it's wings. Satisfied he turned in his creation before scuttling off.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Punkie surveyed the supplies for the day. Her hand immediately went to the jeweled buttons. They had worked so well for her yesterday, and she felt something from them. It was fate. Ducktape was a MUST, i mean who else are you supposed to get that stuff to stick on. Punkie grabbed the ducktape and held it in reverence. It was one of the miracles of the world. Who knew how it worked, it worked for everything. Punkie managed to make the tinfoil look like feathers and dressed up her bobblehead in the shiny silver feathers. When the jeweled buttons were added, in excess some might say, Punkie stepped back and nodded in approval.

Elidae ran over to the booth, greeting all the owners with her usual yellow cheer. This time, her materials were all pretty basic except for the AMAZING BUBBLEWRAP. Giggling, Elidae popped a few bubbles for fun. Now it was time for business. Using the bubble-wrap, she made a a short stress, putting the cotton cloth as a waist belt to match. She cut up the tin foil and speckled them on the bottom, then placed the jeweled buttons along the top of the dress. Marvelous!

Bubble-wrap??? Ophila was almost too distracted playing with the bubble-wrap to make up an outfit. Almost.

She wrapped the pretty redblood doll (Her name is Tevini? Her hair is so lovely!) with silk to make a long, kind of gown-like dress, leaving the back as a train, to serve as a tail. She used the bubble-wrap under the skirt to make it poofy. Then she cut and shaped the fiber optic fabric around bundles of pipe cleaners to make pose-able wings, which she attached to the shoulders of the dress and to the back of the doll's arms. Her sewing skills weren't the best, but the ensemble wasn't falling apart and that's really all that mattered. If the judges liked it, that would be a bonus!

Material List
10. silk
3. pipe cleaners
7. bubble-wrap
20. fiber optic fabric
