Terry was sure to tell the cashier that the order was to go as he paid for the food then tucked his card away when he was handed it back. He thanked the cashier and nudged Seung off to the side of the cashiers so they could wait for their food before he answered the other. “Sounds good to me, we can choose the drinks when we get there.” He nodded his head and gave another smile. He wondered what kinds of movies the other had as he agreed that could be an option.
“I think we have at least one show that is similar in that though I’m not sure.” He admitted. If the other asked he would tell him that he didn’t tend to watch a lot of shows with live performances simply because sometimes the audience making noise annoyed him. It was one of the reasons why he never bought CD’s with ‘live’ tracks on them.

He didn’t ask though and nodded instead. Leaning against the other as they waited off to the side of their food. “Think most places have such a show like it.” He answered as he draped his arms over the others shoulders and continued on looking around, watching people. Children ran about, or at least toddled around, and parents didn’t scold them just called them back over. He watched the lack of manners and for a moment wondered if it was normal with fast food. There were at least some manners where he was from, though they might be a bit lax when it came to eating at a fast food place. Some things were still adhered to.
“Might get juice for me…” To go with his dinner it sounded like a good idea. “First going to bathroom...wash face.” Which could take some time but it was worth it, he wore make up outside, all the time, but inside he didn’t always especially when it was close to the end of the evening - or after dinner time unless he would be going back out.
“Mmm, think I picked summer class to take.” He had decided that since summer was divided up into three sections, with each section lasting a month and you could take any section you wanted he would take one. It wouldn’t get in the way of the trip back home, since he could go before or after it, and take a month long class that would be two hours every day.
He had transferred all his old classes over, they all did count, and now he wasn’t sure what he wanted to to. So since he wasn’t decided he figured to take something he’d enjoy and use it as a chance to get a feel for things and just enjoy the class - do something he wanted.

“Probably so.” Terry nodded and didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around Seung’s middle when the other draped his arms on him. He looked out across the people, finding it pretty typical for a fast food restaurant but mentally started to count down when he spotted one family with kids in particular. When he got to zero he was unsurprised when the Dad got feed up and let his kids go off to the play area set aside for children. In his experiance Chick-Fil-A customers were better about corralling their children usually but he thought it was probably around some of the kids spring break so that would explain some of the rowdy behavior.
He turned his attention back to Seung as he started to talk again and he nodded in understanding. “Well one of the good things about Chick-Fil-A is the food here is easy to keep warm, tastes good even when cold, and doesn’t loose any good flavor if it has to be rewarmed up.” He said after the other mentioned he wanted to wash his face. He knew at the very least the soup would still be warm since it kept warm the longest, the chicken might have to be warmed up but like he said, it would still taste good. “Oh? Which class did you pick out?” He asked with a curious look.

Listening about the food, only half understanding, he nodded his head slowly. At least the food would be good. “Will be fast.” Or as fast as he could in the bathroom. He wouldn’t try and waste time where the food got too cold. “Can eat while I clean up.” Since it would take him some time, there was no way around it really. He had products to remove and things to put on and his contacts to remove...and maybe put back in - he wasn’t sure yet.
“British literature….looked interesting.” But for him would be terribly difficult, and he knew it, what with his issues learning English already and make it now the Queen’s English...he might have dug himself in deep. Though he was hoping whatever they read he could find in Korean to at least help himself...though that might loose some of the meaning due to translation. He would try his best. They didn’t have litterature classes for asian literature so it was this or French lit, poetry, or American lit. He’d picked British because it interested him more.

“I don’t mind waiting before eating.” Terry said with a small shrug. Besides if he waited to eat then he could share the chicken and make sure Seung at more anyway, along with the fact that it would feel weird to just go ahead and eat without the other when there wasn’t much reason to. When Seung answered his question to say which class he was taking Terry gave a thoughtful nod. “Ah, I see. If you need help during it for any reason then feel free to ask.” He said with a smile and a brief kiss to the others cheek. While he had found some of the books that were picked for the class to be boring, others that he had to read for that class had been fun and interesting. No matter which kind it was though he would help Seung if he needed it though.

“Might need….British isn’t the same...as here...right?” He’d never seen any programs, or movies, with British actors so hadn’t ever properly heard a British accent. He’d simply heard they were different and one was harder...or perhaps both were hard for the opposite person. That would make more sense really, as even North and South Korea were two different languages at this point. There were words the other others, those who defected and came South, didn’t know because it was different in the North. He’d heard about it, like others, and it was sad. To think they were so separate and in less than a hundred years the language was hard - hard enough defectors who came south had a hard time learning and fitting in and living.
“Isn’t the same up north from the south.” He said slowly, more to himself, before he shook the thought away. He knew he had gotten himself in deep - but how deep with this class choice. “Will ask if I need.” Which he was likely to need. “They know I’m not from here.” Terry had been there when that had come up and was noted in his files, because he’d get help in understanding things so he could correctly do his work and exams. Watching as the people before them got their order, figuring they were next, he pulled away from Terry in order to grab their food when it was ready.

“Yes there are differences. Depending on how far back in the literature you will go you can see how similar British and American were but both languages have changed since then.” Terry said as he thought back to the different books he had to read for British Literature. While American English had come from British English it was obvious at times where they deviated. “Thankfully you won’t have to deal with the accents since you will just be reading the books. That is unless your professor decides to give you a taste by watching a movie adaptation.” When it had come to some of the Shakespeare literature it had been easier to pick up context as such for some by watching a movie of an actual play of it.
When Seung mentioned that it was different between North and South Korea, Terry gave a nod, not surprised. “Good.” He said with a smile. Since the professor would know that Seung wasn’t from America then more then likely they will make sure to go out of their way to help him. Before their conversation could continue their food was ready just as Seung had figured and a smiling employee passed him the bag of food while saying to have a good day.

Yes, of course both versions of english were different, a whole ocean separated them and a lot of time. He expected it when he signed up for the class but couldn’t help but worry and wonder. Nodding to Terry’s words he agreed as he would likely, if they went back far enough, see where some things were common between the two languages, especially if he went and took an American literature class next as it would likely cover older American literature where the differences in language wouldn’t be as noticeable.
“Hope not...but would not mind seeing movie either.” Might be interesting and even good, he just hoped if they did that it would be either alongside the book or after it so he wasn’t lost horribly. At least he’d understand what was going on and have an idea as to what was being said by who and in the various scenes. With the professor knowing English was far from his first language he hoped that might change things around if they had been set in a way which might have been harder for him.
“Lets go, can take cab home - faster and easier.” Walking might take longer and he didn’t care to walk when it was spring and thus chilly out. They were a good way away from his apartment building though so while the walk around this area hadn’t been bad...the walk to his place would be a bit much for him. “I can pay, since you had food.” He added in after a moment. He was trying to let Terry pay more often for things, to be nice and split things.
Moving ahead of Terry he went to open the door, and hold it, for them while already his dark eyes were looking over the street on the lookout for a cab.

“If you want, and your teacher doesn’t actually show any, we could watch a few of the movies.” Terry offered when the other said he wouldn’t mind seeing one. He was thinking more along the lines of movies of plays but there were a few actual movie adaptions of books that might be interesting. If they did watch any though it would probably be best to pick ones of books that Seung had to read for the class itself of course he supposed. That way it would be helpful and not just something else to possibly add confusion over thanks to the language.
Terry nodded when Seung suggested a cab, agreeing that it would be quicker all around. It would mean less time for the food to grow cold and that was always a plus. “Alright, sounds good to me.” He said, not arguing with the other about the money. One of these days they probably should sit down and talk about what and when they might expect to pay for one another so they stopped running into times where it seemed like it was a race to pay before the other but not now. He followed other out of the building, giving a smile in thanks when Seung held the door then looked around for a cab as well.

It would be good to see the movies, it would help with getting an idea of setting and such. At least he hoped it would help, it should - right? So long as it was close to what the book was Seung figured it would help. “It is close to being book...will help.” He said, letting Terry know what he was hoping for. A close to book movie or something to watch - to get a better grasp on things.
Flashing a smile back to the other he stepped as close to the curbs edge as he could and held up a hand to call for a cab, hoping to catch one so they didn’t need to walk all the way to his home - it would take far too long. And while a subway wasn’t a bad idea he didn’t like the idea of the jostling from other people, it might spill the soups in the bag. Watching as cars passed them by he wondered if he should look into a car at some point, some sort of pay it slowly thing. Maybe when he’d lived here longer? He didn’t know a thing about them really and how to go about things, he could look into it and take his time. But in a big city public transport would be cheaper in the long run, gas and payments vs. metro and buses and cabs. So maybe not...even if he did dislike waiting for a cab - oh! And here one came.
As soon as the cab pulled up he hurried to open the door, holding it for Terry. He didn’t want someone else to grab it, as there was a younger couple near by looking to hail a cab also.

Terry nodded in agreement and gave a smile. “Of course. It wouldn’t help very much if it wasn’t close to the book. I know that most plays you can watch movies of follow the script perfectly, and depending on the book we can find close adaptations.” He said. It was never fun when a movie deviated far from the book, especially when it was something you were watching to help understand the book better for a class.
If Seung decided to let Terry know about the idea’s going through his head about buying a vehicle versus public transportation, he would be happy to help him out with research. As it was it wouldn’t cross his mind as something to talk to the other about, at least not right now. When Seung managed to hail a cab he shot the other a smile and slipped into the backseat through the door the other was holding while greeting the cab driver. He buckled up the moment he was settled in as was his habit then he reached over to take the bag of food from Seung so the older man could get in without spilling anything.

Getting into the backseat he hesitated a moment before giving his address, which block and the apartment complex, he needed. He did hope the poor cab driver understood his accent, as he settled back into his seat. By habit he didn’t buckle up, unlike Terry, Seung never wore one in the back seat of a car - it simply wasn’t necessary and never had been. Being that it wasn't thought about he didn’t notice Terry with one on either. “Good, can help me find movies then soon...can help with class. Can look for them as we read them.” He added then. It wouldn’t help if he watched them all now, he didn’t know which books and even if he did it wasn’t for a while - he’d forget or they’d blend together.
When the cab pulled away from the curb he settled in close to the other and shifted so he could watch the scenery pass them by. Once he got home he’d head for the bathroom and let the other into his room. Seung still couldn’t believe he was bringing the other over, and was considering having him just spend the night. It wasn't like his parents would figure anything out, though his cousin might, so it was safe.

Terry made sure that the cab driver understood where to go before he turned his attention to Seung and noticed that the other hadn’t buckled up. He frowned briefly but figured the other was just distracted. “Don’t forget to buckle up.” He reminded the other, the frown turning into a small smile. “Sounds good. Once you get your book list we can take a look to see what movies are available for them. But yes, waiting until you are about to read them or have been reading them would be for the best.” He agreed with a chuckle.
When Seung leaned against him Terry shifted to press a kiss to the top of the other’s head and laced his hand with Seung’s. It still hadn’t occurred to him that the other man was being slightly risky with having him over. Mainly because he knew that Seung’s parents didn’t approve of homosexuallity and had already been planning on making sure to keep to only friendship moves while at the other’s house. Or at least unless Seung himself was very confident that they would get caught. It still didn’t help that Terry wasn’t sure completely what was too far in South Korean culture though.

“Why?” He asked in a rather off handed manner before he just continued to listen to the other talk about the book list and movies. That did sound like a good idea. He was already planning to watch the movies with Terry, a good way to spend time together. It also would help if he didn’t understand certain things, what things were, or anything else. Terry would likely understand or just know it and could thus help him. It would handle some likely to crop up issues due to culture and the like.
With their fingers twined together he let his eyes closed for now, letting himself relax into the others side as they headed for the apartment building he was starting to call home. While leaning against the other he let his mind wander over what was in the fridge, what they had to eat, drink, and what sort of snacks they had - if the other likes to snack. Did he have any clothing the other could use of his incase Terry spent the night? He was sure he had something, the other was only a bit taller than he was. But Terry wasn’t as slender as he was...but he did have some loose bed cloths which he was sure the other would fit.

Terry blinked at the question, not having expected that response. “Because it’s safer that way. Always buckle up when you ride a vehicle of any kind.” He said, wondering if the other was just teasing him. He hadn’t noticed the other not buckling up before now during other times they had been in a car together at least, and the video of Seung riding a taxi in South Korea without a seat belt didn’t come to mind since at the time he had figured that the seat belt was just off frame.
He looked at the relaxed man cuddling up to him and as much as he didn’t want to make the other move, he was tempted to just buckle him in himself depending on how the other responded. While he hadn’t heard of any Knight’s or Senshi who had been in car accidents he was sure they would end up the same as any normal person in one.
